Mike and his team did an incredible job on our basement. He is a thorough professional- always on time, very responsive to any questions, and goes above and beyond regular duties. He handled all of the permitting issues we had with a professional and courteous demeanor and his customer service is top notch. Our basement was in terrible shape and was entirely unusable. He helped transform the entire space into a functional, welcoming and bright environment. Everyone who comes to visit us comments on how great the basement looks. Most importantly, we use the basement on an almost daily basis and it turned out into an amazing space that is cherished by our entire family. I can't recommend Mike enough! He is now going to work on another project for us and I am sure we'll be reaching out to him again in the future.

After researching and evaluating over a dozen different contractors and companies who offered basement finishing, I knew M Zuckerman Contracting was the right company for the job from day one. The owner, Mike, arrived on time and showed a lot of respect for my home by removing his shoes before entering (I am a stickler for cleanliness so this was certainly a plus from the start). During the walk through of my unfinished basement space, Mike provided his design & build model which included a simplified but detailed pricing model. His attention to detail and ability to outline each task was exactly what I was looking for from a contractor. He helped me visualize what the finished space would look like and often made recommendations to help me keep the cost down. Of course, there were other contractors who provided cheaper offers, but after hearing horror stories from others about jobs that were not finished or low quotes that ended up costing a whole lot more, I made the decision to go with a company that I felt would finished the space seamlessly, would be easy to work with, and would get the job done without excuses. Mike was very patient with me as I went back and forth with deciding to move forward with the project but ultimately I decided to go with M Zuckerman Contracting. The construction started within days of the contract signing and things quickly progressed with framing, permits, electrical, plumbing, etc. I made some changes along the way with bathroom fixtures, etc. and M Zuckerman Contracting was very flexible and accommodating. I was able to communicate with the owner, Mike, almost on a daily basis where he would provide project updates and he always asked me if I had any questions or concerns. He even reached out to me and made a recommendation before painting an accent wall with a bright green color that I brought. I am thankful Mike cared enough and understood how I wanted the space to look (even when I made less than smart design decisions, he got be back on track). The construction is now complete, 3 weeks ahead of schedule and we couldn’t be happier! That’s right, 3 weeks and they didn’t have to cut corners. All the workers were professional, considerate and kept the space neat throughout the project. I just cannot believe how easy and seamless the process was but I have to give all of the credit to the owner of M Zuckerman Contracting who led a smooth and clean team. The completed project turned out even better than I had expected so if you’re considering an addition or remodel, this company is the way to go!

It was done on time and on budget. Mike of M Zuckerman Contracting follows through with what he says, is meticulous with necessary details and shows up when promised. He is very dependable and we would recommend him to anyone.

From start to finish M Zuckerman contracting did a superior job. Mike was incredibly patient while I chose materials (and changed my mind several times!). Mike and all of his workers we punctual, polite and knowledgeable. The design an execution were top-notch, met or exceeded my expectations. At the end of each work day, the area surrounding their "work zone" was cleaned up, allowing me to comfortably live in my home during the renovation. I expect to us this contractor in the future, for the remodeling of my master bathroom. I have referred, (and will continue to refer), M Zuckerman Contracting LLC to friends and family.

Mike and his team worked in a timely fashion to complete the job. The workmanship is superb. The finished product is outstanding.

The overall project went very well and we were happy for the fit and finish of the work. Mike and Skip showed up on day one ready to work. Mike is punctual, and meticulous which means that the work was done in a timely manner and to a high quality. Mike maintained a tidy work area, so the house was far less of a mess than otherwise. We found that Mike provided excellent advice on hardware, design and installation, so planning out the overall look of the bath is a lot of easier. In an example of how Mike saved us from ourselves, we had picked out a paint color that was far brighter than we thought and instead of painting the entire bathroom, Mike painted a small band and texted me a picture while I was at work to show how wrong that color was and recommended the right paint color for the space. More importantly, when the unexpected arises, Mike is there to suggest the best and most cost effective options. In this instance, our double sink vanity was delivered without its nickel trimmed feet which reduced the total height by 2 inches. This 2 inch difference was unnoticed until Mike took the vanity out of the box and was ready to install. Of course, ordering and delivery of the missing feet would have pushed back completion of the bathroom by weeks, so was not even considered. Mike came up with the fix of carpentering oak feet that he would stain with the matching color and attach. The fix looked as good as the nickel feet and certainly won't be noticed by anyone who didn't know about the vendor's poor quality control in shipping a vanity without its feet. In general, Mike is dependable, and pays attention to the details. It is quite easy to give Mike the keys to our house and trust that he'll doing everything right to transfer a dated bathroom into a modern bathroom.

What started as a hoped for deck refurbishment turned in to a full blown deck replacement project. The old deck was poorly constructed and several of the supports had rotted through. The price included the demo and removal of the old deck and all permitting costs. We opted to expand the original footprint by two feet and added a very nice stair/landing combination. Mike and his crew were excellent and the quality of workmanship was superb. We joked a couple of times that if a tornado ever hit the house, the house would blow away, but Mike's deck would still be there. I will definitely use this contractor again.
