+ -1 moreIn the first visit, Jim diagnosed 5 different plumbing-related problems we were having and gave us options for moving forward -- but never pushed us to do anything or tell us anything was a "must-fix." He was very straight forward on describing what he would do, available options, pricing and timing for everything. For one of our issues, he gave us an alternative solution that required no cost at all! In the second visit, Jim replaced our leaky kitchen faucet (he gave us suggestions on a replacement faucet, which now works flawlessly after his the installation), swapped out a glass basin sink for a ceramic one (more of a cosmetic fix, but we were having some leaks with the glass basin sink) and most importantly, replaced our 16 year old water heater. Jim was extremely punctual, showed all his work, was very transparent about his pricing and left our house spotless. A very friendly, competent and trustworthy professional -- I would recommend him to anyone.

Description of Work: Replaced leaky faucet. John was very flexible when the replacement part that I purchased was broken in the box. He went to another client site while I returned the part, then met me back at the house an hour later. Highly recommend.

Description of Work: Installed new gas water heater and also replaced a 5 foot copper section of pipe that had developed pinhole leaks. Our old gas water heater (an A.O. Smith) had given us 20 years of service! Crouse Plumbing installed a new A.O. Smith heater for us that is more efficient and gives hotter water. We are looking for another 20 years of service out of our new water heater.

Description of Work: Fixed a valve, tested pipes for leaks, and replaced leaking hose under kitchen sink. Most impressive, almost two years ago, diagnosed and fixed major problem no one else was able to help us with.

+ -1 moreHe did a really crappy job with my bathroom. It's the reason why I have to redo it. The lever for the tub leaks. It's defective. The handle is wobbly, and the gasket started falling off. I called him because there was black stuff coming out. He came over, took it out, and left. He just ran in and ran out. I think his customer service skills need work, along with his attention to detail. I would not recommend him. I was very disappointed. He laughs at you when you have a question like you're some sort of idiot.

Description of Work: I've used John over the years for basic plumbing services including installation of new toilets, faucets, and valve repairs and replacements. He is always on time, professional and does a great job and I've never had to call him back to fix his work. About five years ago another plumber was asking over $300 to install a new toilet. John's rate was less than 1/2 of that. (in both cases I supplied the toilet). He also uses quality parts and recommends quality fixtures as well (i.e. Moen faucets). I've also referred him to my family and they've been pleased with his work as well. Reasonable prices, quality work and prompt, professional service are what I like about working with John.

+ -1 moreArrived exactly at the time committed. Had repair done in less than 20 minutes. Also asked him to replace the hot water shut-off to the lavatory which was also in a state of marginal functionality. Total time for repair of both valves was approximately 30 minutes. Contractor is personable and very fast in his work. Highly recommended!!
Description of Work: After replacing a flush valve in a toilet, the cold water shut-off value began leaking. Had replacement part but, could not remove the old valve. This is original to home constructed in 1976.

+ -1 moreHe's a very pleasant fellow. I think he is very fair in his rates. He even discounted his rate to $105 because he wasn't here working for a full hour.
Description of Work: He did two things. In one case, we were remodeling a bathroom. Another plumber who had been working with my contractor wanted $500 for this work, John came in and was able to do the work for $100. The mechanism in the toilet that controls the water flow broke so he fixed that and fixed the supply line.

He gave us a date (for the following Monday) but we called him early that morning to let him know our neighborhood had no power (after a storm). We called him the next day and he arrived On time. He was a very nice young man, very polite, very efficient and we thought reasonably priced. Also, we appreciated his flexibility.
