Mark came out to give an estimate. Nice guy, on time, told me what I wanted to hear. Said he would put up a heavy gauge fence, bottom rail always included on all of their chain link fences (told me that was how they always did it). First thing in his e-mail was that it would be a thinner wire and even pointed out that that was not what he had told me he was going to give a quote for. Then I read through the quote, and there is no bottom rail mentioned. I asked about it. Now it's no longer always there on all fences that they put up, they use a "bottom coal wire", whatever that is. I will have to pay hundreds extra to get the bottom rail that was supposed to be included. Give a quote for what you tell the customer you are quoting. They shouldn't have to sort through what was verbally said and what they have to sign to find the discrepancies and learn that they get to pay more for what was quoted. They are also 7 weeks out on their projects, which is not the timeline I was looking for. Ended up being the most expensive company, then you have to wait almost 2 month to get it put up.
