+ -1 moreI felt he was dishonest. The story is as follows: The property I was purchasing was in a bad condition, and from the onset the lender and I were questioning whether it will meet the threshold for conventional loan. If not, I would go for hard money loan. The lender said he gave a strict instruction not to appraise the property if it was below lending condition, so that I would not spend money on the appraisal that I would not need. The appraiser went to the site, appraised and prepared a report with photos, which were not required. In the meantime, he asked me to pay over the internet. When the lender saw the report, the property was clearly below lending condition, so we had to change the strategy to switch from conventional loan to hard money loan. And the appraisal report was wasted. He should have just called the lender as he was instructed before appraising the property!
Description of Work: The lender I was dealing with appointed this company to perform the appraisal of the property I was purchasing.
