+ -1 moreThe team was excellent as usual. They went above and beyond the basic details of the scope of work on the contract and made sure everything was functioning perfectly when they left. As usual, they carefully sweeped and vacuumed everything when they were done. This is the second time I have used them, the first was for a big kitchen renovation, and will happily use them again.
Description of Work: They completed a number of smaller projects around my house, both inside and out, including venting a dryer, installing lights, repairing water damage, and replacing broken tiles.

+ 3 moreAfter firing Metropolitan Remodeling, we began soliciting his replacement to repair, rebuild and complete our new porch. Ygnacio "Nacho" Ramirez, Dymar Company, impressed us with both his assessment and his estimate. He was prompt; cleaned up after the day; efficient; professional; reasonably inexpensive; responsive; and gave us the polished, beautiful porch we had contracted for last June. After our nightmare experience, we were so grateful to find someone who knows what he's doing and works very hard to do it right!!! We will use him again and will always call him first. He comes with my highest recommendation.
Description of Work: He had to dismantle improperly installed woodwork, caulk gaping crevices between sections; fill in mortar on the floor, replace molding and rip out all the cheap plywood with knotholes. He then began installing the right wood for exterior finish work. Primed everything, added the fluted pilasters we had originally contracted for, but rough plywood had been used as a substitute by the previous contractor. He then painted the entire porch with two coats, cleaned all the windows and some minor touch ups with caulking or paint. He also replaced the shoddy molding inside the front door to match the rest of the interior molding. Filled holes left by the previous contractor, primed and painted the inside area. Before leaving he completed three other minor repairs to the house, left undone by the fired contractor. He charged $980.00 to do the 3 extra jobs, Metropolitan had increased our price by $3,000.00 to add two of those jobs! The jobs included: A bay window needing a new seal at the base; a facia board needed to be replaced and painted; and a corner of siding at the roof line was loose.

+ 0 moreI had been wanting to put in a 200 sq ft backyard patio for the past several years, but cost was always prohibitive. I received Dymar's contact info from a friend who recommended them and indicated they did good work at an excellent price. I contacted Dymar and arranged for an estimate date/time. The owner arrived on time, showed remarkable experience, and provided a highly competitive bid without any haggling. I agreed on the patio details and price and the owner returned on another day with a professional invoice listing all of the work discussed along with the price. Despite the great price, I was also relieved to see that Dymar was registered and insured, unlike some others who placed bids. The job was started and completed on time within a few weeks (could have been quicker if not for the rain) and I was very satisfied with the quality, cleanliness, and attention to detail!
Description of Work: Townhouse backyard patio ( 200 sq ft) with underground drains and a brick trim.
