They came and did the job. They called ahead before the came, they did the things a provider is supposed to do.

Any problems with my heating and ac, I go to him. I was amazing. You never think of something like that happening. I didn't have any heat. We dealt with them for years and years. They are an top notch company. In an heartbeat. When we find a good company, we latch on. There was one worker. It took him about an hour to an hour and half to complete the cleaning. They are quick to answer the phone. If its a true emergency, they show up. They treated us well.

They did a great job. Holden arrived on time, work was done efficiently, kept the house clean, workmanship appears to be excellent, is even coming back in a month to just double check the work because that is apart their service, double check make sure everything is work properly, that's just pretty awesome.

Very responsive to initial request for a free estimate for a replacement furnace after being told by a big box store contractor (won't be using them again!!) that our furnace should be immediately shut off due to a broken heat exchange and leaking carbon monoxide. They provided a confirmation call regarding the time of our appointment the day before and the technician, Todd, arrived promptly within that designated window. He completed a very thorough evaluation of our furnace, addressed all my questions and concerns, and provided a competitive estimate with no pressure, just good, solid advice. We were able to schedule installation and the job was completed within a week, could have been earlier if we wanted. Very good experience for first-time home-owners having the first major hiccup in our new house. Additional reassurance with the product warranty and free maintenance for the first 2 years. Will definitely be calling them if other issues arise and would certainly recommend to anyone looking for quality service at a reasonable price.

The crew arrived on time and began removal of the old system. Removal and installation took about 4 hours total. After the testing of the system, the technician explained the new fancy thermostat to us very thoroughly, reviewing every screen. All manuals were left with us with instructions to call for any questions or problems. My home was left clean as if they had not been there. An excellent job.

The job went very smoothly beginning to end (estimate, scheduling, installation, clean-up, etc.). I received multiple bids where the contractors provided their recommended solution along with other systems/price points. We selected Don Hoffacker's Air Conditioning and Heating based on best value as well as some local references. The system cooled flawlessly through the heat of the 2016 summer, and having just turned on the the heating for the first time, can say that everything is working fine and as expected.

The office staff was very polite and professional during scheduling. Joe arrived right on time and was very nice. He worked quickly and was knowledgable, answering all my questions. Would definitely recommend to a friend and use again!

Terribly disappointed with the half-truths and lack of professionalism displayed by this company after previously being very pleased and recommending them. I had them install a new central heat pump unit (indoor and outdoor units) six years ago and was very pleased. I purchased a 10 year warranty based on their claim that any needed repairs in that time would be fully covered at no expense. I declined their annual maintenance contract, instead electing to perform coil cleanings and filter replacements (as required per the warranty manual) myself. They said that was fine. Three days ago the outside unit quit working. The tech came the next day and performed the repair, then presented me with a $96 bill for the service call. When I questioned the charge he countered with the thinly veiled threat that the warranty could be voided entirely because I hadn't had them perform the regular maintenance required by the warranty. He insisted that if I didn't have receipts showing I paid someone to do the service, the manufacturer wouldn't honor the warranty. It was after hours by this point, so I couldn't reach the office. The next day I called the office to inquire about the service charge policy. The woman who answered the phone confirmed that their policy is to charge the fee in addition to any services performed. She then proceeded to change the topic just as the service tech had, threatening to void the warranty because I hadn't had them perform regular maintenance (which she later denied having said). When I told her I had performed the needed cleanings she asked pointedly (and condescendingly), "You've used a hose to clean the coils?" Annoyed by her attitude, I responded that I had and asked if she was suggesting that customers were too stupid to clean coils. She actually laughed and answered, "You'd be surprised." I returned to the original subject by informing her that I would not be using them in the future. Her response was that they wouldn't come to my house again anyway. I certainly won't be recommending them again.

Our A/C broke down at the start of the summer. I first called Cropp Metcalf and got an estimate of about $5,500 and decided to get a few more estimates. Hoffacker sent a wonderful salesman named Frank to look at the equipment and give an estimate-about $3,800 for a Bryant energy-efficient unit. Frank was polite, intelligent and no-nonsense so we agreed to install about a week later. Installation went great! Mike, Adam, Scott and Max came earlier than expected-which was fine- and worked to complete the job in a few hours. They were neat and efficient and all went well. I will use Hoffacker for all my heating/ac needs in the future and would highly recommend them. Great job!

Excellent Service! My Service Tech, Dave, arrived within the scheduled call window and was able to troubleshoot and repair the issue within a 1/2 hr. Price was fair, based on my research for this service. This was the 1st time I used Hoffackers as my usual provider was booked out over a week. I will gladly use them again.

They did a great job both technically and in the office. I got three estimates and I like theirs the best. They did the install and explained everything to us. The job passed the WSSC inspection. Moco also came to do an inspection and noted a minor issue that needed to be corrected - UV sleeve on AC line. They prompted came and added the UV sleeve. Also, they initially installed a thermostat I didn't want. But when I contacted them they were very responsive and came to install the one I wanted right away. Very happy with company, will definitely use them as my HVAC provider moving forward.

It went very wel! Brian visited on a Tuesday at my moms house to give us an estimate and told us that the installation could be done very soon. On the following Monday, they came out around 9:00 or 9:30 and worked on removing the old furnace. By about 4:00 they were all done with furnace and new A/C installations. Brian is friendly, knowledgeable and professional and the same goes for his colleagues that day. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

We were about to leave for a weekend trip when I detected a faint smell of gas near the furnace. I didn't want to leave for the whole weekend if there was a gas leak! I looked in the Angie's List booklet and called one HVAC company to see if they could come out within the hour but they could not. I then called Hoffacker's and explained the situation and luckily they sent someone out in less than 1 hour. He was very professional and helpful.

Richard told me exactly what needed to be replaced and showed me where the part was failing. He provided history on the type of unit I had and quickly replaced the part and made sure I was comfortable with what he was doing throughout his work. When we bought our house we suspected the ac compressor might need to be replaced; it was twenty years old. The house also had an HVAC automation system installed by the previous owner that was needlessly complex. We had used Don Hoffacker at our previous house, so we knew who to call to inspect the new one. On their first visit, the team was able to decipher the complex automation system, and give us a simple solution to make it work the way we wanted. On inspecting the compressor, they told us we could keep going with it for a while, but within a few days of moving in, the combination of hot weather and open doors blew out one of the capacitors on the compressor. I called them again and they came the next day with a new Lennox compressor and coil, installed it and had everything running again. I appreciated their initial effort to save us money, though we probably should have just gone with a new compressor right away. I didn't mind the inconvenience of a second visit, given that they were clearly not trying to sell me something just for the sake of it. We will continue our annual maintenance plan with Hoffacker's at the new house.

Came on time and got right to work. They were all about business and I appreciated that. I am very pleased with the entire process. Would highly recommend Don Hoffacker's.

Harry was on time, professional, and efficient. Replaced my capacitor, cleaned the coils, and made sure I had sufficient coolant for the AC to work properly. This is the 3rd time I have used Hoffacker's and I am never planning to switch. They are great!

Technician was on time and very knowledgeable. He thoroughly understood my issue (two rooms in my house were not cooling well) and provided a well-priced estimate for the system I inquired about. More importantly, he was very honest and showed me how to adjust the (hidden) dampers in my current systems to better balance my a/c load throughout my house to try to put more air flow into the rooms that are currently too hot, so I may not need to augment my system with the mini-split I was inquiring about. Very trustworthy a/c company: I would recommend them to others based on my experience - no up-sale and offered no-cost solutions that may solve my problem.

When the system is extremely hot, the system turns off for a while. So he said if we don't want that, we should have them come back and take it off. We did do that and we didn't have trouble since. We used the air conditioner briefly this spring and it is working fine.

Two representatives of this company came out to do an estimate at our home for a new a/c installation. My husband took time off from work and spent more than an hour showing them around the house. One of the men complained about the difficulty of installing air vents in our older single family home, They promised to get back with an estimate, but never did. When my husband left a message at their office asking if they had an estimate, one of the men called two days later -- and nearly a week after they came home to do the estimate -- and left a voicemail message that they had decided not to take up the job because they are too busy. We are extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism, the disregard for customers' time, and the casual attitude this company took toward a job. We would never recommend them to anyone.
