DAPHNE'S CLEANING SERVICE LLC

I scheduled a move in and out cleaning at 9:30 am. On that day, they moved it to 11 , then 1, then 2pm and two women showed up after 2pm. They started cleaning and then left while I was out having lunch, without telling me even though they have my number. After I came back from lunch, I didn’t see them and thought they went for lunch as well but till about 4:30 they still didn’t come back. I called one of the women ( got her number before I left for lunch) and she huang up on me after hearing my first sentence( she could understand some English) . I called the company phone and the guy picked up said sorry but the two women won’t come back because the house needed more work than they expected. I agreed with a quote higher than they usually charge (250 vs 179) and I was fine paying more if they brought it up at the house, but leaving the house without telling me and hanging up on me later was really not professional at all. The guy kept saying sorry on the phone and said he would try to find another team to come back and would get back to me in 5 minutes. I called him after 15 minutes, he didn’t pick up and he never called back. I was scheduled to have an open house the next day so you can imagine my disappointment and anger at that time.

DO NOT HIRE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES EVER!!! They broke my property (cracked and broke a large picture with glass everywhere), knocked out two of my staircase railings, lost one of my kitchen hooks, left soap rings on the kitchen counter, and did not finish moping (they also don't make the beds which he told me is not something they do)! For reference with the picture, it was hanging on a bathroom wall. When I walked into the bathroom the picture was off the wall and was facing in the OPPOSITE direction than if it would have just fallen off the wall organically--it was super obvious that it fell and someone picked it up and turned it around. I confronted the owner and he apologized and said he could have the crew come out the next day to clean and to see about getting an estimate for the picture--then radio silence. He also said that if there's damage that the crew files a report with him and he didn't get one--I informed him that since they didn't report the damage of the staircase railings or of the missing hook, then I was not surprised that they didn't report the broken picture. Then the day after I messaged him asking what was up and he said he was "checking body cam footage" that the crew supposedly wears and that he didn't see any damage. I asked him to send me the footage and invited him into my home to come assess everything for himself. Again, silence. Then I messaged him AGAIN today and asked when the crew was coming and to send me the body cam footage. He said that his crew didn't do it and that they would never "leave a place like that" (in regards to the corners that were cut in the cleaning), but in fact, they very well did. He sent me a text so I called him as I prefer to deal with these conversations on the phone. He did not pick up. I texted again and he refused to acknowledge the multiple times I invited him to the house to ***** for himself. I finally brought up to him that his conduct was unprofessional and that it was his responsibility to check his employees work and AGAIN invited him into my home. I also mentioned that if he didn't finish what he agreed to (having them finish the job) that I would have to report him to the BBB, post a review on all sites, file a police report for destruction of property and missing hook, and suponea the video from the "body cams" (which let's be real, I highly doubt they exist). He then accused me of trying to scam him and BLOCKED my number. This is a very shady man who is very clearly trying to get out of his responsibilities for what his employees both damaged and did not finish--if you look at the review below me, you can see his comment to that review and see that he does not act in a professional manner. The cleaning had a lot of cut corners and this was terrible customer service. To top it all off, this house cleaning was a birthday gift purchased for me by family. Instead of enjoying a clean home, I'm now going to be stuck sweeping up broken glass off the floor, throwing away a picture, buying a new hook, and finishing the job that his employees did not complete, and that he refused to come out and assess for himself. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!!

Lenny really went the extra mile to make sure he could provide his services! My regular cleaning company cancelled on me the morning of the appointment! I saw the reviews for Daphne’s on google and decided to reach out to them for the first time. Lenny said they were cleaning in VA. I told him what happened and that I knew new tenants moving in the very next day and he came back to Maryland and cleaned my rental property for me within just a few hours of our conversation!! He said that no matter what time it was, he would make sure to get to the house that day to make sure it got cleaned for the new tenants and he was true to his word. That is excellent customer service! The house looked great and smelled amazing. I strongly recommend them and will be using Daphne’s from now on!!

It didn't- and based on my experience, it won't.

Communication was difficult but we worked it out. Things were not moved and backs of tables were not dusted. Details are important but this was an issue.

They did a good job. Not great but satisfactory.

My first experience with them....I was very pleased with the apartment cleaning job performed (3bdrms; 2baths; approx 1500 sq. ft)....Two cleaning staff, stayed about an hour....got the place to sparkle and shine after not being cleaned for months....Would definitely hire again....

They did an amazing job cleaning my three floor townhouse. Did all bathrooms, took out all trash, dusted, vacuumed and even put new sheets on our bed. They also washed dishes in our sink and folded clothes, which I didn't except. Great job and reasonable price.

They were prompt and efficient. It also helped that the unit was empty. They were able to be flexible and meet time constraints. The work was excellent and no problems were encountered. I would highly recommend this service.

I was advised by Angie's List to leave this review of my interaction with Daphne's Cleaning Service. On the morning of 6/1/17 I purchased the coupon for 6 hours of cleaning for $179. Later that evening I received an email from Lenin stating that: "am sorry but i stop selling those deal on angieslist please ask them for a refund and you can always go to my website. [*** Link removed ***] and purchase there. so i can book you in for the cleaning you can paid online or after the job" I found it odd that the coupon was still listed if it was not longer valid and contacted Angie's List. They are going to update the listing to remove the coupon, but I found it odd that Daphne's Cleaning Service would rather decline to honor the coupon and lose a customer over $10 (the cost of deep cleaning listed on their website), then to just remove the coupon from their listing. I will be looking for cleaning services elsewhere.

They showed up early, were professional, polite, and worked hard until the job was done. I would definitely hire them again for future cleanings.

Service and responsiveness was excellent. They showed up early and got to work. The house looked and smelled great when they left, and the dogs enjoyed the visitors. We're scheduled for follow-on weekly service. Highly recommend.

Awesome service! My kitchen is cleaned better than anytime before and smells sooo good. All I can say is no matter what condition your kitchen is they can do it. They made my day better just seeing how clean it is. They did such a good job. I would recommend this to anyone.

I have been using Daphne's cleaning service for over 2 years for monthly full home cleaning. The cleaners have always been prompt and have done an excellent job. I also appreciate that I usually get the same two cleaners. The office is also very responsive and there is a lot of flexibility with scheduling.

The quality of work was always excellent, and we always enjoyed coming home to a well-cleaned house on cleaning day. The price was higher than another service we had used before, but it was worth it. On one or two occasions something was not quite right, and when I brought it to his attention, Lenin was always quick to own the issue, apologize, fix it, and offer a discount on that cleaning.

Ok. If I was bilingual it would be easier to communicate.

Everything was excellent: scheduling was fast and easy, provider was responsive, workers were on time, listened to what I needed, and got it all done fast and looking perfect.

house was clean and all the mold form the showers was clean it my kitchen counter clean,my floor my husband office vacuum and dust ,kids room they change the sheets and put the old ones on the washer when i get home i only need to put it to the dryer,nice i will recommend this company to anyone with kids and pets

My house is clean when they finish, looks clean, smells clean. They have been great with the occasional reschedule, they put up with my dog. I have trusted them with a house key. Highly recommend.

Scheduling was a breeze and i was very pleased with the cleaning. The two ladies arrived on time and they were very thorough. They cleaned everything and they were great. I would highly recommend Daphne's to anyone that needs house cleaning.
