"UPDATE: My previous review still stands from a couple years ago for that specific plumber only - but my most recent experience has been a nightmare. Will never recommend this company ever again. They definitely have changed since my last experience. Not only did the plumber they sent (12/9/24) not do anything to make any effort to clear a clog ( I won’t be petty and provide a name, even though I should) - after signing agreements and I asked if I should pay now -he said I probably should so he could get started - I know I should’ve just sent him on his way, but wanted to get this fixed (astronomical for what was -or in this case wasn’t done- and was told that prices had gone up a lot since my previous experience). He also had to inform me that normally they send the new guys to do this type of work ( implying unclogging drains was beneath his “expertise “). Then proceeded to tell me he was convinced it was a collapsed drain (after snaking the drain for less than a few mins)and that I probably had water flooding under the foundation said he needed to get a hold of their camera guy to be sure - he went to his truck to call him came back in, about 20-25 mins later to tell me he couldn’t get a hold of their camera guy and left a message for him. He then said he would try one more time with the snake - did the same amount of effort as the first time and said we would have to wait until he could get a camera down there and that we would have to let the drain dry out a bit so it would probably be the following week. Packed up his stuff and said I should call him in an hour to see if he heard from the camera guy (why should I do the calling for follow up??) When he left, he seemed to struggle backing out and damaged our lawn (have security camera footage). I called the company the next day and was sent to voicemail (left a message that said I had some concerns but didn’t leave a lot of detail) and was told that I should hear from someone that day - I did not. Called the next day and was told by the supervisor of the phone people that the phone person should have told me it was 24-48 hours before a manager would respond and she would not allow me to speak to anyone else. I did not hear back from anyone in 72 hrs, so I called back and then was told that the manager was out (conveniently). I gave up calling them and called another plumbing company who fixed the issue in a short amount of time (no collapsed drain, just a good ol’ clog). Decided to call Len the Plumber one more time ( 12/23/24) 2 weeks AFTER my original call and was told that there was a note in my file that said the mgr did call 3 days prior to this call (there had been no conversation or missed calls or voicemail received by me - so either he called a wrong number or this was a lie) and in the notes the mgr (Brian, I was told by the phone person)stated that I was told about the pricing and that was it. Not sure where he got his information of what he thought my issue was, since I didn’t leave a lot of info when I spoke to the phone people other than it was frustrating to be told I would get a call in 24-48 hrs. This last phone person said she would send an email to all managers with my concerns and would hope someone would assist. No response. (12/28/24). Think twice before using this company. It has changed ownership twice since the original owner- history has shown as ownership changes in companies , so do priorities and not to the benefit of the customers."

"I accidentally broke the PVC pipe leading out of the condensation drain coming out of my air conditioning unit. (This may seem to be a minor problem, but that is only because you didn't have to haul the buckets of water produced during this heat spell to the sump pump drain.) I put in the request on Monday afternoon. They arrived first thing Tuesday morning -- early. It took them all of about 15 minutes. I could not ask for better service. They were prompt, professional, friendly, and courteous."

We are a family owned company that is interested in making your visions a reality, no job is to big or to small. Things we offer: -Excavation, grading, trenching, etc. -Demolition, houses, barns, concrete, etc . -Landscaping, hardscaping, tree work, retaining walls etc. -Junk removal, Cars, house clean outs, property cleanups, etc.
"Overall they over promised and under delivered. The job was to grade my front yard and add a concrete step. The absolute minimal grading was completed, and the concrete was poured in the rain making the finish rough and dirty and the concrete leaked into the driveway. Had to contact multiple times to get the tent removed and concrete cleaned up. I do appreciate the grass that was put down. Definitely a little disappointed that the minimum was done. Wish I had only paid half up front so they would have come back quicker to complete the job."

With over 40 years of experience in septic tank installation and service, Eagle and Son Septic Service is a family business, consisting of the owner Nathan Eagle, his son, and a good friend, who's just like one of the family. Nathan got started in the business at 15 years old when he was offered a job in the septic industry. 10 years later, in 1987, he started his own business. More than 40 years later, he is an expert in the field and focuses his experience on providing a personal and personable relationship with each customer.
"Nathan Eagle was wonderful to work with. I had quotes from other companies including one that gave me a multi-page contract with all kinds of exceptions so one really didn't know the final price, and then I received a quote from Eagle. Gave me understandable quotes that included all I needed. Due to our new septic not being at least 100' from our well, he changed his quote to install a BAT septic system per Baltimore County. His second quote was more than I wanted to spend, but the county had a grant program with funding available that paid for most of the cost of the new tank and its installation. He was usually available when I called or texted. A hard-working person who's actually hands-on."

Unfortunately, some plumbing scenarios, like a broken sewer pipe repair, will require excavation to complete the job. Plumbing excavation costs range from $30 to $70 per cubic foot. However, if you need additional trenching, expect to pay an extra $4 to $12 per linear foot. Keep in mind that these costs are on top of the plumbing repair costs, and they don’t account for labor costs. Consult your excavation specialist to determine an accurate estimate for your job.
The average cost for pool excavation is $2,500. This cost can range from $450 to $4,500, depending on the pool shape and size, time of year, and any need to move buried utilities.
When excavating for your pool, you might have to move existing utilities. You can expect to pay an additional $15 to $25 per linear foot to move gas lines. To move a septic system, it’ll cost an additional $2,000 to $20,000. A pool that is 10 feet by 12 feet averages $450 to excavate, and a 20-foot-by-40-foot pool averages $3,020.
The cost for residential excavation is $3,200 on average, ranging between $50 and $200 per cubic yard. Total costs could range from $500 to $15,000, depending on the project type, yard size, and soil type.
When a project needs an excavator, the contractor will subcontract one as part of the larger project. If you hire an excavation specialist, you can expect to pay between $40 and $180 per hour. When excavating, if you have soil with excessive rocks or clay deposits, expect an additional cost of $200 to $1,200.
Warm weather seasons like spring and summer are ideal times to excavate due to the ground being softer and easier to dig through. However, it is important to note that bad weather, like heavy blizzard conditions or torrential rainfall, can prolong the project length, increasing costs. That’s why it’s best to avoid excavating during winter or hurricane season, depending on your home’s location.
While completing an excavation project yourself is possible, we don’t recommend it. You’ll likely need to buy or rent the equipment necessary for the job. This equipment costs as $100 per hour or $2,200 weekly, increasing by as much as 50% for larger jobs.
In addition, completing an excavating job yourself poses a safety risk. If proper marking hasn't occurred, you risk hitting buried cables and other critical piping, like gas and water lines. Additionally, if working with excavation equipment, you’ll need to steer clear of any overhead wires. Leaving this project to an excavating professional is best.
