Whiting Company

The Whiting Company replaced our roof a few years ago. I saw a shingle had come off the other day. Called up Tim and he got his crew out today to fix it just before the storm rolled in. Thanks!!!

Whiting Co did very good work on a complicated siding demolition and installation project plus a window replacement. The Whiting crew showed excellent workmanship and were efficient and good communicators. I would use them again.

Excellent. Job was done on time. Work turned out wonderfully. Workers were careful. No plants or shrubs were damaged during the removal of the old shingles or installation of the new ones. Price was extremely competitive. Don and Tim were great to work with. We will definitely use The Whiting Co. again!

We had Whiting do this job because he also did new siding for our home. Both jobs were were done professionally, on time, aesthetically pleasing and to our complete satisfaction. Would definitely use Whiting for any work within their capabilities. Fair pricing too.

Very well, except for occupant safety. They did excellent roof work, which is the basis of our rating. We were especially impressed by the amount of copper they used. Scheduling was complicated by the winter weather, but they kept us apprised and finished pretty much as planned. However, their crew had no plan for safely discarding trash from the roof; one piece nearly hit me as I tried to leave our home.

The Whiting Company did a superb job. They added additional roofers to the job because a rainstorm was scheduled for the area, and they wanted to have the roof completed before the storm arrive. They got it done well before the storm. They cleaned up the straps and debris from the roof materials and swept around the house. They talked with me about my new roof. Mrs. Fields

It was a very good service. I used them in the past for roofing and it was an excellent experience.

Gave me an estimate of $400.00 to replace 3 feet of fascia board. Came without my consent or contract. Pulled down gutter and aluminum wrap around fascia board, ripped off a piece of rotten wood. Did not install new wood for fascia. Lowered my gutter/aluminum wrap leaving a 1 inch gap exposing fascia wood to elements. Used a screw through gutter/aluminum wrap into rotten wood. The rain now drips between the gutter and aluminum wrap. They want me to pay $400.00 for a screw, and more damaged than I started with.

I was impressed by workers who replaced the roof. They arrived Monday morning with a big crew. After speaking to me, what they will be doing, they immediately went to work, removing the old and damaged roof shingles. Came back from work late in the afternoon, a whole new roof was in place. Neighbors were impressed by work and the new roof. Finishing up and clean-up was done by Tuesday afternoon. I definitely will definitely recommend them.

Following my review on Angie's List, I got a call from Mr. Whiting wanting to address the issue with my drywall. He asked me to get a letter from my neighbor requesting permission to replace the drywall that connects our sheds.

I had a contract with Mr Whiting sometime September 2019 for Roofing, siding, 30 windows, and trim for one 1630 SQ ft house and 630 sq ft another dwelling. Initially, I felt very comfortable with his soft voice. It was subcontracted out, which I did not know at the beginning. May be that's how this thing works and did not complain. Once the materials were dropped in, Mr Whiting disappeared and never came to sight. The windows subcontractors came in and finished installing the windows but some were not caulked and insulated. It was hard to communicate with Mr. Whiting as he would not respond on time. The roof had issues and they did not do a good job as they needed to replace some woods and the trim. It was hard to communicate and I let it go as I did not get answer. The trim and siding were dome by 2 Korean guys, they were excellent. But in overall, I was happy with the siding and the trim job, but the windows and roofing was not good at all. At the end, Mr Whiting send me a $400 bill which I am sure was part of the contract. I paid after he started sending threatening communications via email as well as letters. Mr. Whiting only cares about the money,. He never asked be how the job was done and whether I was happy. I will not recommend Mr. Whiting.

The Whiting Company is a professional organization: responsive, efficient, quality materials, excellent workmanship and a great price. I highly recommend this company for windows and siding.

The Whiting Co. was professional, timely, and the work was done as described. They fit us in because we had an emergency (water leaking in several spots of our house after a snow storm). The new roof looks great. Thanks Whiting Co.!

I needed new shingles, and I recalled seeing Whiting Co’s crew working on another house in my neighborhood. After receiving 4 other bids, Whiting’s sales rep Don came out to spec the job. He was awesome! Very knowledgeable, personable, and offered a price that flat-out beat the completion. He made the decision making process easy. Scheduling was a breeze with Tim. Shingles were delivered one day before the scheduled install date. The next day a crew of four showed up at the crack of dawn (7:30 this time of year). They were friendly, respectful and ready to go. They acknowledged that it may be a bit early for the neighbors; with rain forecast for later in the day and given my roof recently started leaking, I asked the crew to start right away and if the neighbors complained it be on me. Those guy busted their tails for the better part of the day, and did a beautiful job. From start, when they put down tarps across the yard, to clean up, when the left my yard in better shape than when the arrived (thanks for raking up the leaves in the back!) they were by far the best contractors I’ve used (and I’ve used more than 10).

The roof is only 6 years old and is already leaking. I think this is a problem with the quality of the installation. Furthermore, Mr. Whiting says he's too busy to come and repair the leak, which is spreading and ruining the ceiling in one of my uppermost rooms. I had to hunt for a long time to find someone else who could come reasonably soon to fix the leak. I just hope we don't have more heavy rain in the next few weeks, or my ceiling is likely to come down.

Though impacted some by the vagaries of November weather, the overall process went generally as forecasted by the sales rep and by Tim.

I needed a new roof and found The Whiting Company on Angie's List. They were local to my area. I called and Tim Whiting answered the phone right away. He had his sales rep, Don Nicholson, call me back within minutes. Don was able to come to the house the very next day to give me a very reasonable estimate. They completed the job, did excellent work and their communication was outstanding. I would highly recommend The Whiting Company.

I was very pleased. After interviewing 4 companies, I selected the Whiting Co. The owner, Tim Whiting , gave me a fair price, was knowledgeable , and responsive to my calls and questions.

Went very well. We needed to get the windows replaced as soon as possible, due to the home being put on the market. Whiting worked with me to get the windows replaced. The price was the best of the vendors' quotes and the installation went very well. Definitely a good company.

From the very beginning every aspect was topnotch! The initial consultation with the sales representative was great. His knowledge, ability to work within our budget and still giving us the best, and taking the time to help us made it easy to want to buy from them. We upgraded our siding and our materials came before expected, which was great. The crew that was responsible for the installation of our siding are the BEST! They worked hard, where efficient, detailed and went above and beyond our expectations! They cleaned up everything and thanked us for the opportunity to work for us. Our gutter guys arrived 3 days later and their work was also quick and efficient. Now, we are just waiting for our exterior door and sidelights to be installed. They were ordered, just can't wait to have this completed to make our home look brand new! You do not need to shop around, this company is top notch!

The project was done exactly in accordance with the contract. The salesman, Tony Errera, gave a good sales pitch. The owner, Tim Whiting, was very responsive.

The job went well. The expected date and the actual date for the work was off (due to the wet summer we've had) so I would have liked a few updates on their schedule. Not too big a deal, but we were excited to have our new roof :) We did get a call a couple days before the crew showed up and the supply delivery truck had some issues unloading (another rainy day). A couple day later (nice and dry) the crew showed up and spent the next 5 hours with the tear up of the old layers and prep of the sheathing. They repaired some minor trouble spots and tighten up the sheathing nails for a smooth base for the underlay. With the wood sheathing preped, the installation went smooth. The crew worked quickly and by late in the afternoon they wrapped up. Their clean-up was good ( but DO walk your driveway, I did find a nail). A week later the gutter crew showed up ( glad I was home, didn't get a call). They quickly knocked out the job and were responsive to my down-spout requests. We are very happy with the work. The cost was a little higher then the lowest bid we got but the Whiting roofing bid was for better products; GAF fabric vs #15 felt-paper. The cost difference was minor $340 per sq vs $300 per sq. The gutter bid was slightly higher also and again better product; over sized down-spouts. We're happy with the project and would call the Whiting Co again.
