If I could give this company a zero I would. Completely disorganized, took months to complete my job with countless mistakes: (I requested the job in April, they started 4 months later, they incorrectly measured the fence area resulting in an incomplete fence for another month, recorded the permit for the fence on the wrong lot with county so had to have that reapproved and finally all the caps of the fence flew off after installation so I had to get a separate company to fix their work. Beware of Randy Fike with his unprofessionalism. Never again!!!

I can't say enough good things about this company. The "estimator" promptly came to our home and discussed our options. Once we signed a contract the fence was built within three weeks. The workmen arrived on time and completed the project in one day. "Gilbert" the foreman was exceedingly patient and professional with us as our oddly shaped backyard presented challenges as to where we would choose to erect the fence. Our cedar picket fence is beautiful and we have received many compliments from our neighbors. WE are so glad that we chose this company.

Terrible, the job never started. Mid-Atlantic is sub-contracting for Lowes. The person who was in charge of submitting the application for the permit, did not submit the application. She informed me that she submitted the application on 6/12/2020. On 7/2/2020, she stated that she was sure the permit had been issued and was only waiting for Lowes to deliver the material. On 7/17/2020, we contacted Prince Georges County office for building permits, we were informed that they did not have an application on file for my property. Just to be sure we called again, and was informed that no application was on file. An hour later, spoke with Mid-Atlantic office, again she informed me that they submit the application and she would e-mail a copy of the receipt, this was on a Friday afternoon. She did not send proof of submission, but called back later that evening and stated that she was not in the office, but would send the receipt on Monday, 7/20/2020. No response at all. I contacted Lowes store manager, and provided him with the events. He called Mid-Atlantic and she informed him that she submitted the application in Anne Arundel County, who informed us that they had not received an application, and if they did they would reject because the property is in PG. County. Finally I called her again on 7/22/2020, she said she never spoke with Lowes manager, and again she stated the application was submitted and she would send proof, she also stated that they pay someone else to submit the paper work, and PG County lost the application. I called the installer at Mid-Atlantic and left a message, he never returned my call. This company has office personnel that can’t tell the truth and obviously can’t do her job, lie after lie, this sounds like someone who has some serious issues that could be related substance abuse or alcohol, I’m not saying that these are her issues, she could just be lazy.

The professional came out to my house towards the end of May to take measurements and provide me with an estimate. I had to reach out to the professional several times to inquire about the estimate. I was told that he was very busy, but he will provide the estimate within a day or so. No estimate! I reached out to the professional again yesterday and he told me that he would provide me with the estimate as soon as he got to his next job. No estimate! It’s been almost one month since the professional was at my home. I shouldn’t have to chase anyone down to spend my money. I’m done with this company!

Everything went great and when the finally got here it was done quickly so I did not miss an appointment I needed to get too. It was said that they would be here between 8:30 AM and 9AM but showed up at 10:30 AM Other than that I'm very happy with the job performed

Mike & company at Mid-Atlantic gave us exactly what wanted for a fair price. Moreover, they were very flexible with scheduling around a stump removal & patio install that were through other contractors. I would recommend.

MAD Fence not only gave me the lowest quote out of the 3 I got, but Steve was extremely knowledgeable and kind, and not pushy. He made a solid recommendation to get 3 gates installed rather than 2, and it was really worth it. He also later gave me some guidance on watersealing. There was a minor issue where the gate was too low and rubbing up the grass and making it difficult to open (I assume due to ground settling). They came out and resolve the issue quickly w\o charging me. Quality, respectful company. Would definitely hire again.

Job was done efficiently, neatly, and most importantly - well! It has now been over a year since the fence was installed and it still looks great.

I used Mid-Atlantic previously to build a 10ft gate in an existing fence and the work and the price were great. Because of the previous service, I did not hesitate to contact them again when I wanted to have some repairs made. The initial responsiveness of the company was good. I was glad that they responded promptly through email as that is easiest for me. The estimator was initially responsive as well, but it quickly seemed like he was very uninterested in doing the repair work. I was unable to meet him on the day he came out, so he simply sent me an email quote. It was only a few lines in an email and not an official quote. He simply said they could not fix the main issue I wanted addressed without rebuilding the section (no quote for that) and then said they could replace 15 cap boards for more than the cost of the 10ft gate. When I questioned him about this and the fact that he said cedar when the fence is pine, he simply asked me to get him a board count and he would get me the best price. After asking a few more follow on questions and not getting much of a responsive, I decided to look else where. If I wanted to do the work myself, I would not have called in the first place. The only reasons my review is not lower is because of the previous experience and that I was not charged their $50 repair estimate fee because I was able to show that they built the fence originally.

The project was delayed a couple of times due to rain. They had a crew that was willing to come out the following Saturday, and they did a wonderful job.

It went extremely well from the first consultation through the installation. Very professional, easy to get in touch with and very responsive.

The crew was professional and prompt. They worked late into the evening to get everything done in a single day. The custom built gate arrived two days later and cleanup was done as they worked. Ryan and the entire crew get a big 'thumbs up' from us. Great job!

It went well but we did have to call them back to complete the contract as written. We love the deck and they came back quickly to complete the work as was written in the contract.

I have no complaints about the work. They are the same company that originally installed the fence. The hardest part was getting things scheduled. If I hadn't been proactive about calling them about each step of the process, estimate, schedule and billing correction, I'm not sure if this would be done yet. Even two weeks after they did the work and replaced fewer panels than expected, I have not yet received the revised invoice for final payment.

They did a nice job. The fence and gate have held up well. We did have one problem with a powdered coated rail but they replaced it without any hassle and this occurred several years after installation.

The Company performed very well from the first contact with the office, to the meeting with a sales representative and finally to the installation. Everyone was very professional and courteous. The installation crew was extremely well organized and efficient. We are very pleased with the result and the experience.

They called a day in advance to reschedule due to rainy weather. On the rescheduled day they were on time and worked two 10 hour days to finish. My fence is beautiful. All my neighbors have commented on how nice it looks.

Received the above mentioned items from Mid-Atlantic however the panels were double nailed. Contacted customer service and was told that they had modified their manufacturing process but had not undated their catalog. Requested a return since I had not received the single nailed panels as listed in catalog and I needed to rake the panels to match hills in my yard. Was told that they do not take returns on pre-assembled panels and that it would require authorization from a manager/owner...never heard back from the company after several calls and email. Ended up using a company in Rockville that was very helpful and provided exactly what I needed. Currently waiting on dispute filed with my credit card company for the return of my funds for the panels, still used the gates.

In response to your response on my review, I was pleased that your team came out to fix the numerous errors in the construction of our deck. This is not to say that I am pleased with the deck AT ALL and that I would EVER hire your company or recommend it again--two separate issues. The deck is still the worst-ever constructed in my experience. Should have gone to Home Depot where they've done a far better job for me in the past. You have embellished my conversation with your staff, which is very disingenuous.

My initial contact with Mid-Atlantic was Steve Crabb. He was flexible on making appointments to come see my property and provide estimates. He is a very nice gentleman who is both very personable and professional. I wavered on which type of vinyl fence I wanted to install, and he was very professional in responding to my questions and providing updated estimates as I changed my mind. I eventually opted for some four-foot privacy fencing facing the road behind my house (so my dog isn't too stressed or barky with people and vehicles passing by) and four-foot closed-picket fencing on the sides. Steve did a great job designing the fencing to fit my oddly-shaped property, and although it was pretty expensive (I think?), this was for vinyl fencing that takes no more maintenance than hosing it off, which made it a very attractive option for me. It took about five weeks from when I made my initial deposit to get the fence installed (they called me a week before the installation date to schedule it). The one thing that I think Mid-Atlantic could have improved for me was keeping me updated on the progress. Steve told me that their schedule was about six weeks out from signing the contract, so it was very accurate, and maybe I am just spoiled by constant alerts in our high-tech age, but I was so excited about my fence and would have liked to receive some automated alerts regarding the manufacturing of my fence (Mid-Atlantic does their own manufacturing, which is great, in my opinion) so that there wasn't a four-week void where I wasn't sure what was going on. That being said, it was a small thing, and I am incredibly happy overall. Alex and Jorge were the crew that installed my fence. I have to say that they were quite incredible. They ran into a couple of challenges, and Alex let me know of them and came up with solutions quickly, surmounting them very professionally. Additionally, we had a day that started out hot and humid, then the weather interrupted them with pouring rain three times. Still, they stayed until almost 10:30pm to finish the job (they started promptly at 9am as scheduled), they were very careful to make sure that everything was aligned properly and in the right place, and I couldn’t be happier (my dog is very happy to be able to roam his yard now without a leash as well). I am extremely impressed with the job that they did, especially given the terrible weather they dealt with. The quality of the fencing is fantastic as well. One thing I noticed in particular is that the latches on the gates are extremely strong and seem very durable. I am not at all worried that the latches will break anytime in the near future (or in the next ten years!). The closed-picket fencing that they used for the sides is gorgeous. I really love it. I am not a huge fan of the privacy fencing's aesthetic appeal (this is nothing at all against Mid-Atlantic -- privacy fencing is just an opaque fence, so there's not much to be pretty about it), but I had that installed to keep my dog from being able to look at cars and people that are 40 feet away and right near HIS property, so it does the job, and it looks great with the closed picket fencing on the sides. I am exceedingly happy with the job that Mid-Atlantic did, and they are very much worth the price that I paid. This fence is going to last a long time, judging by the sturdiness that I see in it, and I VERY highly recommend Mid-Atlantic to anyone looking for quality fencing and quality work.

The construction team was professional, showed up on the day they said they were going to start, which was late November and finished the project in early February. The head of the construction team is certainly a master carpenter, as the finished deck and screened in porch is excellently constructed. PG County rules are very strict and the team knew exactly what to do to comply with all of the county's regulations. Communication between myself, the team members and Walt Dews, the person in charge of overseeing the project, was very good. I did not use Mid-Atlantic to do my electrical work for the project, but the team worked very well with the electrical company that I did hire (with me as the middle person). As with any major project, there will be a few bumps along the way but David Yost and Walt Dews made sure that all "accidents" or "mistakes", of which there were few, were corrected and completed to my satisfaction. It was a pleasure working with them. Mid-Atlantic Deck and Fence is definitely a company that keeps its word. If they promised you something, they will see it through, even if it costs a little more than they expected. They are also the only company that I got an estimate from that has a life-time guarantee on their workmanship as long as I own the home. I actually had to call them back about the gutter covers that they put on the porch and the problem was taken care of to my satisfaction. That's what I mean by keeping their word. I am very satisfied with my screened in porch, it is like an additional room to my house. I would definitely use this company again if I needed them (for example if I ever wanted to turn the screened in porch into a 3 season room.
