The first meeting with Dan Mayo was very informative and all our questions were answered in a professional manner. We were never pressured to make a decision right away. We were offered a very fair and competitive price and decided to move forward. The work began after the holidays. Because we choose 3 different projects to be done at once, several different crews were needed. My highest praise goes to painter. He was a true professional. The rooms look beautiful and he was in constant communication with us concerning the progress. He went out of his way to inform us of the details. I can't thank him enough. The rebuilding of the fireplace also went perfectly, even when we changed a big part of the project after they had started. We were told no problems, just let us know what you want. The electricians who installed the recessed lighting probably had the easier job, but they also were tremendous. They also did a great job of communicating their progress and informing us when they could return to finish. The entire project was finished on time and within the budget we allotted. They said it was so high, they had to send two guys with ladders. They wanted to charge me $1800.00. I called someone else and they quoted $1319.00 and it included more work done.I feel like Beltway was gouging me on price.

I felt I was being used. They wanted to charge me a few thousand dollars more than what I was initially being charged by other companies I already contacted. They wanted to build a new stoop instead of repairing it for me.

Their estimate was $1750 to powerwashing a home. I had it done by Grimebuusters for $350. Beltway builders called me 4 times a day until I called back. Promised an estimate the next day and it came a week later. I responded no thank you and they continue to email me. I just want them to go away.

Beltway Builders responded immediately to a request for a proposal. Jay Morsberger came to the house and prepared a detailed and careful description of the work. The work was completed in good time competently and diligently by George and his crew, with an obvious dedication to doing a good job rather merely getting it done. They cleaned up at the end of each day. No problems and a pleasure to work with.

TERRIBLE The contract said 1-4 weeks and we are at 3 months and they will not come out to start the work. Every time I call to get an update they say next week. Now they say I am not on the schedule. They will not perform as stated in the contract. Terrible company.

Two contractors came over an hour late and gave an inflated estimate that did not include the material cost of the fence panels that I had selected. The estimate was far higher than estimates from fencing contractors that made custom fence panels. When I wrote an email complaint to the company about my experience, I never received a response back either

Glenn Strunc managed the whole thing from beginning to end! it went very fast (2 weeks) and work was done beautifully. We gutted the kitchen (moved in @ 9 months ago and it needed it)-all new cabinets, granite counter tops and all new appliances. Beltway Builders are just awesome!

Fast install, good price for marble. The marble required repairs that now a year...Yes A YEAR and 3 month later I have a pricey counter with trashy places with putty and scratches. I was teased ones with a couple calls but here I am with an expensive marble counter with trashy looking spots!

Install was long, long time ago, supposed to come back and repair a spot and never did

We DO NOT recommend Beltway Builders or their companion company, Arctic Plumbing. Though their workmen are skilled, the companies are badly managed and their customer service is poor. On our project they did the following: Beltway Builders and Arctic made unauthorized charges to our card. After they removed our dishwasher, they failed to close the connection to the garbage disposal. This resulted in a river of water running into the cabinetry under the sink that was unchecked for days. They sent workmen without protective tarps to protect our floors and furniture. They did not supply trash bags to store and haul the demolition debris. Their workmen routinely placed their power tools on the unprotected surfaces of our furniture. They did not provide adequate notice of their work schedule. They did not properly supervise their staff resulting in delays, property damage, and wasted time. The State of Maryland lists them as “Not in good standing”.

Everything went wrong. After signing a contract at the end of Feb. with a written clause to start work within 10 days - 2weeks. I went out to their showroom picked cabinets, flooring, granite countertops, and back flash. After calling three weeks after picking out everything for my new kitchen. I was stalled by the rep. He said the manufactural sent the wrong color cabinets. I called 3 weeks after that to ask the rep when is this job going to start. He said he was not sure, however, I should call him next week he was in NC. at that time. I called the next week he said someone stole the cabinets it would be just 10 days until new ones were made. The job did not start until the end of June. Most of the workers were not English speaking. One of the workers broke an antique lamp that was my great-grandmothers. It could not be replaced. The man who set my tiles on the floor left all kinds grout smeared on the tile. I am still trying to get it up. The wrong hot water tank was delivered and it was the wrong size. I tried to get the delivery men to take this tank back. I called the contractor and said this huge 80 gal. a hot water tank was not what I asked for. Furthermore, I was going to get written up by my condo assoc. They came and put the water tank in my living room, after that they did not come back for two weeks. That was when to "Owner" Joe Butts came to my house. He screamed and cursed at me! In my home! He said he wanted the next installment payment. I showed him the contract and told him I need a monetary adjustment for all the trouble and my broken lamp. He got very loud and said he was going to take everything with him and put a lean against me for non-payment. I told him all the appliances were mine I bought and paid for them. He said the rep who made the contract was dying of a brain tumor. He had little time left. I said I am sorry about his sad story. However, I wanted the job finished. With that he started to scream at me. His face got very red. I said to him you are not going to cuss at me in my home. He said I have a contract. I said that is right and I have receipts for all the appliances. I was pushed into writing a check. I was afraid he was going to hurt me. They did not finish the job until Aug. I had a pipe explode on the new hot water that was installed by them. There was a constant leak under the kitchen sink. The cabinets were scratched and the contractor tried to hide it by putting paint on it. The trim that was replaced looks like a 3-year-old did it. Run from Beltway Builders! Their work is late and very lacking in craftsmanship. They do not work well with women. Joe Butts kept saying to me I didn't know what I was talking about, and I was a heartless "B"

Don't waste your time. Not only did I get ripped off, but the job wasn't done right and still have the same problem a year later. I'm a service member who was in the middle of the ocean trying to take care of the issue and Beltway Builders took advantage. I recently had a contractor come in to fix the issue and he said the door was put on wrong, not sealed right and they lied and said they couldn't get a 6' door, causing me to have to buy a 5' and them reframe it. Current contractor fixed the issue and installed a brand new 6' door for $1800. STAY AWAY from this company.

They did not finish yet. The price was reasonable. The other one did not want to do it under $2000. The quality of the estimate was good. I would use them again for another estimate.

Spent weeks trying to get someone on the phone. 2 guys showed up unexpectedly at 8am on a Friday. Tore off half my deck. Got a phone call from the salesman on Saturday saying the deck was too old and unsafe to repair and that I needed a whole new deck. I told them that they were not the company I would have hired to do a new deck and then spent weeks fighting over getting my deposit back since they declared the contract null and void.

I was disappointed that I was not told over the phone about the minimum requirement.

On Thursday, April 13, 2017. We (my husband and I) were to meet with a contractor from this company to assist us with an estimate for a 203k project for a potential new home. I believe in transparency so my husband told the appointment setter, Justin, at this establishment that we were not the homeowners and he stated that the homeowner needed to be at the house at the time of the estimate. We were able to negotiate a time when the seller was home for this contractor to come by with all three parties present. We traveled over an hour in rush hour traffic to promptly arrive at 5 pm to meet with the seller and contractor. Upon arrival, the contractor, Dave Collins, jumped into his pick up truck and told the seller "F*#% this guy" referring to my husband. I'm not sure if this was racial since we were a mixed race family or if he made an assessment based upon our appearance that he did not want our business. I wish he would have just talked to us and treated us with respect or how he would have liked to be treated. My husband called him as he pulled away and he stated that he left because we weren't the owners and he is too busy for this. If that was case, why would he travel to the sellers home and confirm our appointment. I would never recommend this company. He was aggressive and unprofessional. He allegedly try to make a side deal with the seller. Attached is the contractor's business card and his handwritten estimate to the seller of the home on his business card.

We ended up going with a different contractor due to cost, but we had an excellent experience with Beltway Builders. I did notice some negative reviews on here, but my experience was good, so I think it's worth it to give them credit for that. They showed, on time, for a Saturday appointment and gave me a written estimate on the spot. I felt like the estimator understood my job well and did a good job estimating it. We did have a different company out that was basically only a plumbing company and they weren't even able to do it because it involved both plumbing and carpentry.

It did not go well. I had to redo one section completely, because the stain used did not closely match the surrounding wood. This included re-sanding, re-staining and applying three coats of Shellac (which the worker let for me). The other section was better. The color matched better, but the worker only put one coat of Shellac on this section, so I only had to sand and apply two more coats.

It was a disappointment to say the least. After taking a deposit from me in the beginning of September, I was told two to three weeks. It was only after repeated texts that I was told that Beltway Builders would be unable to fulfill their contract. I was strung along into the winter months making it tougher to get exterior work performed from more capable contractors. Aaron Baker was the sales rep who did not keep his word. DO NOT HIRE

Don't use this company! The only good thing was punctuality for the initial visit. The project manager (Dave Friia) didn't give me a quote immediately, instead forced me (knew I was under a deadline for a real estate transaction) to write two positive reviews for the company AND SEND HIM PROOF, before giving me any documentation to give to my buyers. This should have been my first red flag. It goes downhill from here folks! I eventually canceled my contract with this company and it has taken me 4 weeks to get anyone to even verbally acknowledge that they owe me a refund of my deposit. I'm still waiting to see if I get a check back. Don't call them!

I found Beltway Builders to be very unprofessional. After being promised that an estimate was going to be created and next steps taken I never heard from them again. When I called them, I was told to track down the worker who came to my house MYSELF and ask what was going on. I reluctantly did this only to by shunned a second time. Complete waste of my time. Will NEVER do business with them.
