Excellent service, workmanship, and transparency! Louis was wonderful to work with and so responsive, knowledgeable, straightforward, flexible, and nice! The price was competitive; this company is totally transparent - no hidden surprises. The crew manager, Nixon, was very knowledgeable and greatly helped find a solution to fix our un-level & bumpy concrete basement floor, and his crew was awesome too; the prep work (we had quite a bit!), the installation (and cleanup!), and results were outstanding. They installed our entire church basement with LVT - 5 classrooms, hallways, huge fellowship hall, steps area, and closets. HIGHLY highly recommend - no question about it!

The installation price was fairThe initial guys doing the sanding and staining were unprofessional and left bubbles and imperfections in the finish. The floors had to be re-sanded and stained. David, our Bay Country Salesman and Advisor, was great!

The results were better than expected. There is only a slight noticeable difference between the old floor and the new floor; they did a great job.

Professional service in the store, from the manager who came to provide the estimate, & from the installers who completed the project. Would utilize their services again.

Fantastically - came out right on time for the estimate; we selected the flooring and they scheduled the installation for a convenient time for us. The installation crew should up on time and worked hard and carefully - perfect installation and absolutely no damage to walls furniture. Very professional, courteous and excellent workmanship. Would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to friends and family!

Great job by the company - I live out of state and they kept me informed about the process.

Contracted with Bay County to refinish a 5 step oak staircase. The guys the came over were incapable of communicating in English. They got stain on the balusters and on the wall which is a specific color that now needs to be repainted. I was told they would be back the following morning and that the steps wouldn't be able to be used for about 6 hours. I stayed home from work and made sure the kids were out of the house for the day. They show up at 1 pm. I sent them away. Bay county called and tried to charge us half of the contracted amount because they had done half of the job but I would only pay 250. I actually had to have someone completely redo the entire stairs. They job that was done by bay county was slipshod and sloppy.

Absolutely fantastic experience . David arrived right on time to measure our basement , and within two business days our carpet was installed . The price was very fair and the carpet was exactly what we wanted . The installers also arrived right on time , and were very clean and courteous . Once they were done , you would have never known they were there . We had three estimates prior to contacting Bay Country Floors , and their price was the best . We will only use this flooring company for future purchases and recommend them highly .

David Brown at Bay County is very knowledgeable and the installation team did a professional job. David educated us on the latest flooring materials and we bought a linoleum tile that is much better than the tong-and-groove flooring we originally were planning on getting. The installation crew of 3 guys were workhorses. They did not stop working for the 3-4 hours installation. They really know what they are doing and every detail was done perfectly. No go-backs required. Bay County is definitely worth using for this type of flooring job.

The work was done in two phases, because they had to work around my grand piano! They did a great job overall and were friendly and professional. They are early birds, so be sure to ask them what time they plan to arrive so you can be ready for them! It makes sense to get an early start so the polyurethane can dry during the day. We moved into our basement during the process. It might be better to spend the night elsewhere if you can't stand the smell of the polyurethane. It was pretty intense. I'm am enjoying my new floors, though and it was worth it.

The Bay Country Team was very respectful of our property and of us. They worked quickly and did a great job. They put up protective barriers to protect the other rooms and the bookcases from dust and damage. We are very pleased with the service, the cost and the results and recommend them highly.

The workers came in and removed our old carpet and linoleum. All this was done well. 99% of the work was done perfectly. One of the nosing pieces was broken and tried to make it look like it wasn't. To be honest it fooled us at first. We didn't see it until later it until later that night. We contacted the salesman we dealt with from the beginning via email and phone a myriad of times. He promised gave us three different appointments, when someone would be around to fix it. Not once did anyone show up to fix the mistake. It's quite frustrating. Finally in July (when the service was done in early April) someone came and fixed the nosing. It now looks absolutely perfect. Had this been corrected quickly, I would have given them an overall A.

Professional and friendly/family oriented business. Walked into store was greeted immediately and worked with one of the service professionals who listened and directed me to exactly what I needed. Scheduled estimate for that next day. Had estimate sheet within a week. Unfortunately due to my job I had to relocate and was unable to utilize their service. I would highly recommend this company. They are absolute professionals and their store has a multitude of different types of flooring needs. They will work with you based on your budgetary and flooring needs. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Went to three different vendors and they had the best. They installed carpet and hardwood. Easy to work with. Came out when stated they were in a timely matter, Made it retain to the house, used the services again. Installed carpet in the master bed immediate service. Pleasant

I have a split-level home that had existing wood floors in the kitchen with carpeting throughout the rest of the house. I decided on installing wood floors in the upstairs living room, hallway and upstairs/downstairs steps. I solicited quotes from three other companies. One of my neighbors used Bay Country previously and he was happy with their work. I spoke with Dave Brown and he came out to my own to measure. My wife stopped by the showroom a few days later and picked the type of wood we wanted and signed the contract. The price was higher than two of the other quotes, but I liked the fact a neighbor gave them good marks. Bay Country uses a contractor to do its installed (Floor Masters, Inc.). Miguel and another installer showed up on time. They did a very good job on the install. They were careful not to damage the walls which we just had painted. They did a good job of cleaning up afterwards. Overall I was very happy with my experience with Bay Country and their install partner.

I was under a little stress at the time and they handled the process with professionalism and ease. I had received a quote at another company, but these folks priced in a range that I could afford. The quality of the product was outstanding. They have lasted well. Installation was my only complaint. The tile in the living area shifted slightly after a several months and I had a gap between two tiles. This was not a problem that I had expected to occur.

They were great. My husband was with them throughout and he thought that they did a great job. He was able to negotiate the price with them. So he was very happy.

Our experience with the sales team was good. David answered all of our questions and gave us a great price. We were shopping around for the same exact product and he beat all of the competitors. The installation left a lot to be desired. The installers were late for both days of the install and did not provide a reasoning. Throughout the day you could hear the installers consistently cursing at each other. The quality of the work wasn't the greatest either. There were a substantial amount of nicks on the molding and we had just painted it. It required several hours of touch ups. The seams on the carpeting were not the best either. However, I will give them some slack because the carpet we chose does not appear to be easy to line up. The tile work was good. The only complaint I have regarding the installation was how the emptied their grout bucket on my cement patio and didn't clean it up. I now have a pile of hard grout on my patio. I will not immediately go to Bay Country the next time I have needed work.

Excellent service. The carpet I originally selected was discontinued, so they found exactly the same color in a better product and charged me the price of the cheaper carpet. The installers came on time and were neat and careful. The rooms look great. I will certainly use them again.

I decided not to use them. The estimate was definitely out of my price range. It was $800 for a 4x4 bathroom just to put in my flooring. It was fine and normal. They were professional. They called back a couple of times to see if I wanted to start the project. I told them that I couldn't afford it and I told them not to call me back.

We needed some new vinyl flooring and carpet stretching prior to selling our home. The vinyl was put down fine but the shoe molding wasn't the best and had to be fixed/replaced in a couple of areas. I said that I'd use them again but I'm not 100% sure on that. After the work was complete and the workers left, we went to check on the work and found a hole in our wall that wasn't previously there. Let me point out that we had just had the entire house painted. When I called the store to point this out it was a less than pleasant exchange. I had to ask my painter to come out and fix the hole and they invoices the flooring company directly. I said that I'd use them again but it's doubtful.

Hey, what can I say. It went as well as it could possibly have gone. After I ordered the job, I mentioned that I wanted matching flush-mounted grates. The first answer was "How important is it, since those aren't shelf items?". I was surprised that they weren't, but when I said that - to me - this was very important the answer was "OK, we'll make it happen". I said that I didn't care if it added time to the job and the answer was "No: next week is Thanksgiving and you are not going to host Thanksgiving without new floors". In the end, they delivered EXACTLY what I wanted, faster than I could have expected, and in spite of my late change in requirements. And, given the size of the job, I did get 2 other quotes. They were the least expensive and also the ones that I was most comfortable with. I worked through the Mount Airy showroom (which I can't review without paying more since my account is out of Baltimore). If you contact the Mount Airy location, talk to Chris Arch and tell him that Alex gave a great review and that is why you called. He'll give you a competitive price and superior service. Do they make money on this? Of course! They wouldn't be in business otherwise! But they deliver on what they promise and their prices are in line with others (who often don't deliver). Note: they will also let you know what is "on sale" for them and pass the savings on to you if you have flexibility in your choice of flooring. To emphasize my satisfaction, I just bought a new house in Baltimore (my other one is in Mount Airy), and they are putting the new floors in there. This time, I didn't consider another vendor. Summary: You can always get a lower price on anything. But you can't always get stellar service. Here you get a competitive price with great service. And finally: Why is it that I have to rate the Gambrills location instead of the one that I used in Mount Airy? True, both are ultimately run by Chris (who is based in Mount Airy). But my Angie's account is a Baltimore account and Mount Airy is in the Baltimore metropolitan area. At least I think it is. And the US census thinks it is. The NFL thinks it is. But Angie thinks it is in Washington, DC. That is why I'm rating the other location vs. the one I actually dealt with. This is really irritating to me, and believe me it affects the review that I would give to Angie's list. However, I firmly believe that you will get the same great pricing and service from any of the Bay Country locations, so I'm publishing this review without reservation.
