PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING* If you can go with any other moving company please do… I called them yesterday evening right before there closing time to setup a move for 2 days from now then my apartment people called 20 minutes later rescheduling the date I tried to call back but they were closed I called this morning (after already paying a $50 deposit) and they told me to reschedule it will be $240 and to cancel it will be $360 they are taking hard earned money and doing no work at all I have a newborn trying to move into a new place explained this and they still charged me I have payed them $290 they haven’t done anything at all yet SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT OUT TO TAKE FROM HARD WORKING HONEST PEOPLE… GOD BLESS AND HAVE A GOOD DAY!

My best moving experience with a moving company hands down. Robin, Eduardo (Victor), Edgar did such an excellent job moving all my furniture. I moved from a 4 bedroom house to another 4 bedroom house. They worked efficiently, took great care of all my belongings, packed things very well, never scuffed or damaged anything on my houses, and were polite, courteous, and communicated well to make sure my furnitures were all where I wanted them to be. It was done in less time than was estimated. Moving is normally a pain and being in the military I move frequently and have come to hate moving and dealing with moving companies. But Zip Moving and Storage made this a pleasant experience. The moving coordinators Steven and Dean also communicated well beforehand, were upfront about the price, and were very responsive to my questions and needs. Highly recommend this moving company. Would hire them again on my next move.

Sergio and team was awesome. They were pleasant, efficient and kept me updated throughout the move. I moved for a 2 bedroom apartment into a house and was done under 3 hours. Also arrived before the scheduled time. I will book again.

Zip Moving is outstanding. We moved out of a 2br 1 ba into a 4br 3 story town house and it went perfectly. Robin H, Orlando, and Jose were friendly, extremely hard working and professional. They went above and beyond, had excellent attention to detail and showed extreme care in all aspects. They called prior to arriving, got to work immediately and then traveled to unload a storage unit before driving an hour and a half to the new home. Unloading went smoothly. I highly recommend this company. They were easy to work with, honest and punctual. The actual movers Robin Hernandez and Robin were kind, polite and very hard working. They were lovely people and helped an always stressful time, moving, go smoothly.

Zip Moving and Storage was great! They were very punctual, courteous, and efficient. They were loading out of a building with strict requirements, which they followed to “a T”. In addition, we were giving some of our furniture to a family who had brought a trailer to load. That process (which had to take place in a 15 minute window)” was seamless. At the other end, unloading was quick and efficient, with TLC for our antiques. Great service from start to finish!

We had a long-distance move and ended up with broken legs on 1 bedroom dresser and 1 chest of drawers so they are both now just sitting on the ground without any legs, 12" lower than they should be. Accidents happen but they were very non-responsive when contacted about it. But the biggest reason for the 1 star is that when I booked, I was told that the price was based on the estimated number of cubic feet actually used. After a VERY detailed phone call where I went room by room and gave a complete inventory of every piece of furniture, it was estimated to be about 2,300 cu.ft. I was told that 2,300 cubic would take up 1 full 26' truck and about 25-30% of a second truck, but I WOULD ONLY BE CHARGED FOR THE SPACE I USED. So if I used more 30% on the second truck, I would pay more, but if I actually used less, the price would go down. When they arrived and did their on-site "visual inspection," they insisted that the cubic feet was going to be more like 3,175 and had me sign a revised shipping estimate. I signed the revised estimate because it was a visual ESTIMATE and with me being an average consumer that doesn't deal in cubic feet day-to-day (or ever actually), I have no frame of reference to know what 2,300 vs 3,175 cubic feet looks like. You are kind of at the mercy of the movers, and assume they know better and trust are going to give you an honest assessment of what your volume is, and adjust it properly if they were a bit off in their estimation. It turns out they were able to fit everything into a single truck (vs. the 1 truck + 25%-30% that was originally estimated for 2300 cu. ft.) so imagine my surprise when my total was $2600 MORE than the initial estimate, even though I used LESS SPACE. Upon doing some additional research, an average 26' moving truck has up to 1,700 cubic feet of storage, but I was charged nearly twice that since everything they moved and packed was put on a single truck. It turns out I was charged for almost 1500 cu. ft. that I never used, which amounted to over $4000! After 2 months of contacting them for them to explain to me how my price increased when I acutally used less space and how to file a claim for the damaged furniture, they eventually stopped responding to me at all. Once they saw the negative review posted, they finally contacted me and offered me $100 for the damaged furniture and $400 if I removed my negative review (so don't be fooled by the lack of negative reviews, I have to assume they've made cash offers to others to remove their negative reviews). I declined since that's only 10% of what they overcharged me. When I pointed out the almost 1500 cu. ft discrepancy to the moving coordinator and my research on the max volume of the trucks, she did in fact reply, "We also admit that the New Onsite Estimate that was done on the day of the pickup was more than what can fit into one truck..." So either the lead mover that was in charge of assessing the load and ultimately charging the customer: a) was very bad at estimating the total cubic feet of items, b) has no idea how many cubic feet a 26 foot truck will actually hold, or c) intentionally inflated the number knowing full well that we didn't know the difference between 1700 cubic feet and nearly 3200 cubic feet, especially since at no time did he call for a second truck, which suggests to me that he knew they could get everything on a single truck, even though he estimated a volume that would have required almost 2 full trucks. Either way, it's either complete negligence or extremely dishonest (or even both), but it inflated my cost significantly. My whole experience with them makes me feel like they tried to overcharge me and hope that I didn't notice. Very shady to me. I would definitely not recommend using Zip. UPDATE 9/8/2023: A satisfactory settlement has been reached by all parties.

The actual movers were sweet and very hard working but my overall experience was terrible. They also seem to struggle with my piano like no prior mover. The estimate was o half of the final cost. The truck broke down and when there was a delay for delivery, they charge me for storage. I was also told my stuff would not be mixed with other customers' and it was.

(June, 2022 move) Significantly adverse experience/would not recommend: cost over-run, several damaged items (only by sheer luck were several more expensive and irreplaceable items not damaged) and many items not moved as contracted. 1. Cost Over-Run: The initial quote was based not only on the detailed list of key items I provided as requested but was also backed up by a “video tour,” where Zip Movers examined all of the rooms in my apartment and their content. The estimator promised me that his figure was highly conservative, and he expected a lower final price. On moving day, as soon as the team entered, they called the home office, who “authorized” a price $1,000 higher than original estimate; they were not able to explain why. Adding to the time-based pricing concerns, the movers themselves were not terribly efficient. The team leader disappeared for a period of time and couldn’t be found. One of the workers was found chatting up a staff member in the apartment building. In the end, the final bill was only a few hundred dollars more than the initial estimate—but that takes into account my labor and that of a friend who greatly supplemented the Zip Movers team’s effort. A friend jumped in carrying furniture/boxes at the same rate as the movers at the new home (destination), and I also worked as hard as the mover, packing and carrying, throughout the day (origin and destination). So I expect the bill would have been even higher if my friend and I hadn’t supplemented the team’s effort significantly. I also declined most of the unpacking service. 2. Damaged Items: And it is unfortunate that I spent so much time packing myself, because I should have spent more time supervising the care of the movers’ work. Several items were damaged, and more were placed at risk of damage. A several-hundred-dollar Panama hat from Italy was crushed inside a box of heavy items. New Ethan Allen chairs were packed in the truck without any wrapping or protection, and the wooden legs from one chair stained the upholstered seat of others (see photo of chairs in truck without any wrapping). A large Serena and Lily arm chair was left without wrapping, resting its weight directly on top of a sharp metal corner of a bed-frame (lucky that it did not destroy the upholstery; see photo—I had already moved the chair off of the sharp corner before taking the photo). In the packing process, several pictures were stacked flat, directly on top of a nice oil painting—with the metal hooks of one picture sitting directly on the painted surface, without any protection. The base of an Aeron chair was cracked. The level of care was far less than that of the movers I used a year ago for a different move. When I reported the damage and the cost of repair from the original manufacturers, the corporate office only offered $50, which was well less than the actual cost of repair. 3. Unmoved Items: I left my apartment (origin) before the team was finished packing so I could buy them no lunch and meet them to unpack (no good deed goes unpunished…). At the end of the day, after delivery at my new home, I returned to apartment and found all sorts of items that were not packed and moved as they should have been. See attached photo. (Bottles with liquids were, by company policy, properly my responsibility to move, but the other remaining items in the photos should have been moved.) It took me a day of subsequent work to move the items that the movers simply left in the apartment. Zip Movers was made aware of all of these issues either during the move or immediately afterward, and, beyond platitudes, they offered either $50 or the opportunity to use an independent claims service. I would not that all of the movers involved claimed that had been working with Zip Movers for several years, so I do not believe these issues are due to new staff.

Jason fromZip Moving contacted me immediately as soon as I asked for a quote, and went through my inventory room by room. He was not pushy on me picking his company and was upfront with the costs and what was covered. It was then followed by my coordinator Dean to confirm my inventory and walked me through what to expect during moving day. The movers: Robin Hernandez, Alfredo, and Bezzer were professional. They were on time and efficient… got in and got to work right away. They were careful with helping me getting the rest of my stuff packed and moved, which included at least 200 lbs of babrbell plates, pair of dumbbells from 5lbs to 50lbs, my Peloton bike and treadmill. Even moved it all to my basement and made sure that everything was moved to the appropriate rooms. Apt to Ranch House. Apt was 3 BR, 2BR, living room, dining room, kitchen. Total hours from start to end: 9 hrs. I highly recommend Zip Moving for your next local move.

Zip Moving and Storage was the first moving company I ever used and everything went great! My movers were the best and they couldn't have been better. They showed up on schedule, were communicative, and took good care of our belongings. They work very fast, without any damage to my property and my belongings. You can just sit and relax. Highly recommended.

We have had to move long distances multiple times in the past, but our experience with Zip Moving far exceeded our expectations. The crew was very cordial and very hard working! We also experienced a few snafus due to the age of the building we moved into and they found ways to work around very big issues, demonstrating that not only are they big muscles but big brains! We were so pleased with the services. We also found it easy to communicate with them in the booking process (they actually take their calls whereas others I tried to call insisted I use email and still managed to mess up our inventory list so we dropped them). Tony was friendly and confirmed all our details at the time. Also, online payment by link is super easy. So happy fate led us to Zip Moving and Storage. We would STRONGLY recommend them!

This company came recommended by a friend and it was my first time using a full-service moving company after moving too many times on my own. Zip movers are absolutely amazing and I wish I would have used them sooner. The team of 3 arrived on time and were friendly and organized. I chose the full packing service and after a short intro, I could sit back and relax. By noon they finished packing up everything to move to the new location. I am also using their storage facility, which was cheaper than some local alternatives. The customer service is also worth mentioning, as they are extremely helpful and very responsive. I definitely recommend Zip.

HORRIBLE! UNPROFFESSIONAL! The movers not only damaged my belongings, but punctured holes in the walls while moving me. DO NOT chose this company. They are the most lackadaisical, negligent, and incompetent set of movers that I have ever experienced. Most importantly, the team lead completely broke my headboard, which could of have been easily prevented. However, the team lead remained on his phone the entire move, as he was puncturing holes in the walls. The movers did not properly disassemble my headboard, while rushing to move me. The team lead was completely unbothered and unfocused from the beginning to the end, which costs me additional money for the repairs that was required due to their negligence.

The movers were very organized and managed to disassemble and wrap our furniture and load everything in the truck in under 2 hours. Moving is never an easy task, we felt sad the day has come we’re leaving our neighborhood and friends, but the movers were cheerful and really made our day brighter and the move seamless. We’ll forever remember this great experience and recommend Zip Moving & Storage to our friends and family!

Terrible. Like random people dumped all our precious family things in cardboard boxes, no packing, and chucked them in a meat grinder…for $24,500. Offered, after much fighting with them, only $1k for damages. Painful, disastrous company.
