Zen Windows of Washington DC

Found Zen windows on Yelp. Looked at other companies and got estimates but decided to go with Zen Windows. There was another company that was a little less expensive, but we just felt a positive vibe/gut feeling with Zen and decided that they would do a better job. Scott, the owner is very hands on. We also asked Scott a lot - and I mean a LOT of questions. We just emailed each other back and forth and he would answer very promptly, clearly, and concise. That's another one of the reasons why we wanted to go with him. He came out and quickly measured the windows. About a week and a half later, another person came out and took the very accurate measurements. Delivery time for the windows was about 6-8 weeks since it's all custom. About 6 - 7 weeks later they came to install the windows. All the workers were extremely respectful and did a very clean job. Nothing in the house got damaged. They came the next day to complete the outer part of the windows. Same deal, very quick, very efficient. They spent almost the entire day trying to put the door together because they wanted it to be perfect. Scott also came by the house both days to make sure that everything was going smoothly which gave us a lot of reassurance that they're very hands-on and want to do a better job than expected. There's a reason they getting great reviews and it's because they really do great work. Glad we were able to work with them.

We just finished having our replacement windows installed by Zen Windows! What a great experience. We had 5 windows replaced that were broken. Scott was really professional and easy to work with. The best part is everything was done on the phone and by email. We didn't have to sit through a long, high pressure sales pitch and feel obligated to buy. Instead, I called Zen, Scott returned my call and heard what I wanted to do. I took rough measurements of the windows, then Scott sent me a quote and answered any questions I had. After a quick measurement of our windows by Zen, they were ordered and installed 5 weeks later. The crew was excellent, I hardly knew they were in our house, and very professional-wearing a mask the entire time they were here. Everything went so well, we decided to replace the rest of the windows in our house using Zen, as well as our sliding glass door, based on the quality of window and workmanship displayed by Zen! We were very impressed by the professional, no pressure, business model that Zen Windows used to earn our business. Did some shopping around checked lots of web sites and reviews and kept coming back to Zen Windows for there quality and price. Had 16 windows installed the price was right the quoting process was easy Scott Hale was a pleasure to work with. The windows came in ahead of projected schedule the installation date was set and the crew arrived on time and completed the work in one and a half days.Karol and his fathers did a great job and were a real pleasure to to meet. The workmanship was quality and after they were done there was no signs they were there except beautiful new windows. Again thanks!

Scott Halle from Zen Windows far exceeded my expectations. I was dreading having to deal with door sales people and actually cancelled two appointments because the companies insisted on talking to "all the homeowners" during their sales call. None of that from Scott--he called me within an hour of my e-mail inquiry. Everything was done through e-mail until it was time to measure. His prices were excellent and he carries an excellent Provia door line. The installation went very smoothly and the door is beautiful. I highly recommend this company.

Very smoothly and stress free. Scott followed up immediately after installation to make sure we were happy. The father/son installation team (Zak family) were very efficient, professional and pleasant to work with. Cost was approx. 50% of a quote we had from a more famous brand. Absolutely delighted.

We were extremely happy with the service provided by Zen Windows. Scott, and Mark and his team were extremely professional and courteous. We had 13 windows replaced and they were in before 9:00 am and out around 5:30pm, which included removing the old windows, installing the new windows and wrapping a bay window and all exterior window trim. I was impressed with the way they cleaned up after themselves. As you can imagine taking out windows causes quite a mess. They swept and vacuumed afterwards, and raked my yard of debris. Other then the fact that my windows look brand new, you would have never known they were there. We had quotes from other window companies, and they all used the sales tactics that Scott warns you about in Zen Windows videos. Zen was the easiest to work with. They did not pressure us into buying and were by far the most affordable.

I HIGHLY recommend using Zen windows for window and door replacement. Scott Halle is a responsible and accountable owner, which is something I've NOT seen in SO many other contractors and it was truly appreciated. He came by during the day of installation to make sure all was going well and called after to make sure I was happy with the job. The work was done in a timely manner and the quality is outstanding. The same gentleman who came to measure did the actual installation. I was consulted about siding trim color for the exterior of the sliders and they confirmed whether i wanted a storm or screen door on the front and safely stored the other The 2 doors and windows were completed in less than a day. We had torrential rain a day later and everything was FINE!

We replaced a total of 12 windows with Soft-Lite Pro Series Solar Low E-Glass and replaced 2 french doors with Soft-Lite Kingsroyal Series Sliding Doors Solar Low E-Glass. These are upgraded window glass because our two story tall family room has a wall of windows and door that receive sun most of the day. The Solar Low E-Glass has made a huge difference in sun and heat radiation into the room. We no longer have to close the draperies on the hottest summer days. We could not be happier with the entire process of selecting the replacement windows, installation, price and payment terms. Scott Halle is genuinely interested in the best fit for your home. His precision installer, Mark, is easy to work with and have in your home. After installation, we discovered a slightly torqued window pane cross bar in the largest and most difficult window to install. Scott looked at it within a day or two and immediately arranged for the manufacturer to replace the window inset, obviously a warranted item. I would not hesitate to recommend Scott and Zen Windows.

Scott Halle, the owner, gave us an estimate over the phone, which was almost 40% lower than three estimates we received from other companies for the same work. He then came out to our home, precisely measured for the windows, and his crew professionally installed them about three weeks later. My husband and I couldn't be happier with the quality of the windows and the work. It was a pleasure to work with Scott. I highly recommend Zen Windows.

Scott Halle from Zen Windows is an absolute professional. His work is excellent, he is a great communicator, is flexible in working with customer's needs/timelines, and his prices are extremely fair. I wouldn't turn anywhere else for window work.

I had difficulty finding a window company that would be willing to replace only two windows, most require a lot more, but Zen had no minimum restriction on the number of windows. It only took a few weeks from order to installation. There was no downpayment required and the cost estimate and measuring was free. There was only one installer but he was on time (in fact early) and installed the windows surprisingly fast and did a perfect job. The Provia windows function very well and look great. The owner Scott stayed on top of everything and made the process effortless. Would definitely use them again.

I am SOOOO GLAD I found Zen Window’s. They had top ratings and the best reviews and not a single one was negative. That should tell you something. I can't say enough about how painless and worry free this whole process was. If it wasn’t for Scott (the owner) I wouldn’t have my new windows and door today. It says a lot when the owner of the company takes time to ease your concerns and honestly talk to you about your project. He was so Great! Very responsive and informative. I ask a lot of questions and never once did it seem like he was annoyed or irritated by my desire to know what the whole process was about. He never once pressured me in any way to rush into a contract for a better price. Even told me to take my time when I think he felt I was getting anxious and ahead of myself. It was such a great experience. Mark (one of his installers) was also just as patient with me and my questions. He never made me feel like I was bothering him when I had questions or concerns as the remodel was happening. The crew was very respectful of our house. They laid drop clothes everywhere they were going to work and cleaned everything up when they left. I had 13 windows and a door with one side light installed. They got them all installed in a day. I wish Zen Windows did more remodeling projects around the house so I could use them for all my future projects. I had THAT GREAT of an experience! This was a fantastic company to work with for our new windows. Cannot recommend highly enough and would definitely use again. Windows are great, and service was excellent before and during installation. A low stress experience.

Wonderful service from start to finish. No high-pressure sales, professionalism presentation, great pricing, amazing products, and the best installation we have ever had at the house. After they were done, you could not even tell they were there (except we had new windows). The window product is great quality, far exceeded my expectations.

The team he sent to our home was also very professional, thorough, clean and speedy with the removal of the original windows and placement of the new windows. We hired Zen to replace our back sliding door. Scott is a consummate professional - he knows his stuff, he is very responsive, and kept us informed every step of the way. We are very happy with the final product and would happily use them again.

They were polite enough to inform me that they only install windows they sell so I did not hire this company as I'd already purchased a window to match those in my home. (That was a requirement to satisfy the HOA.)

Scott, the franchise owner could not have made this process any easier. He was very responsive and easy to work with. We put off getting this window replaced because we thought it would be a hassle. We were wrong. If we ever need another window or door I will not hesitate to call Scott again. I sound like a commercial but I very much appreciate an professional, efficient company at a reasonable price.

Excellent experience from the first contact to the estimate/measurement to the discussion period and finally installation. Everyone associated with Zen was professional. Scott didn't badmouth the competitors but focused on the services Zen provides. He responded to all of our emails promptly. The installation team not only made sure the windows and doors looked great from the inside but they also replaced rotten wood on the outside frame. Very pleased!

We did not go with Zen windows, but from my initial inquiry and their almost immediate response, professionalism and no pushing, to straight forward quote, I would definitely go with them next time and I would recommend Zen Windows to friends, family and neighbors.

I needed 10 windows replaced, after sending an estimate request to several companies, Scott from Zen called me within 30min of me hitting send. In the initial call, Scott was able to provide a rough estimate via phone, and when I mentioned I had a tape measure, he was able to refine the estimate right there as I was feeding him the window measurement. I was able to discuss the options for windows, casement pro/cons, etc. right there. Scoot explained everything and provided good insight across the board. Given some stories I've read about other companies, it was refreshing to have an estimate within 60-90min. Once several other companies emailed me their estimates, Zen was right in the ballpark of the others. While originally I wanted the double pane Classic for all ten (10) windows, I ultimately decided to have the bedrooms have the triple-pane Pro series windows. Once again, altering the quote was easy. In the end I got: - 5 double pane Classic/Zen - 4 triple pan Pro/Lotus - 1 double pane, tempered for Bathroom Installation was smooth, crew of two installed all the windows between 9-4. They were professional, when I had couple questions about foam insulation, they answered it and I was able to confirm that all gaps were being sealed with foam. The end result looks awesome. I really like the new windows and can tell the difference in the noise reduction in the bedrooms where I opted for triple panes. Another plus was the paid-in-full discount for writing a check at the end of the job.
