The contractor did not come to our residence to give an estimate on the day/time he stated. He did appear approx. 10 days later and (a) provided an estimate of costs & time to complete work and (b) tentatively scheduled removal three-months later (in the off season when he was less busy). This was an acceptable delay to us. The contractor returned in late January to schedule the work for the next week (six days later). THE CONTRACTOR DID NOT SHOW UP TO PERFORM THE WORK. THE CONTRACTOR DID NOT PHONE PRIOR TO THIS DATE TO ADVISE US OF CANCELATION/POSTPONEMENT Five days after the work was to be performed, the contractor left a voice-mail message with a "smorgasboard" of excuses why he couldn't perform the work on the day scheduled, but NO explanation why he hadn't called in advance to notify us why he wasn't coming as scheduled. Five other providers were then contacted and another provider was hired. The tree removal service was completed 8 days after the date this provider had scheduled, then failed to show.
