They have been okay. The customer service was okay. The technicians were okay and very professional. I had no questions. I have no problem with the service they provided. The pricing was reasonable considering what was done; I have no complaints.

The provider ignored explicit instructions of what we needed repaired and ended up charging us for work that we did not want. The provider showed up late and was unable to perform the work necessary. He had to talk to my husband, not a ac/heat guy, on how to read a manual to install a replacement thermostat. They are extremely expensive and their quality is extremely poor.

Never again - We subscribe to the company's Silver Service, which provides for two HVAC inspections yearly and discounted rates for repairs or replacements. The inspections are more sales calls than preventative maintenance. The salesman found we were low on freon and suggested adding, but then told me the leak was probably in the coil which could not be repaired - only replaced. I asked about the cost of replacement and was given a Vernon Heating brochure with costs for unit replacement. The tech informed me that R-22 (freon) would no longer be available and my best bet was to replace the system. The brochure, which I could not keep, had a blue cover with the Great Seal of the United States as the only graphic - no company name on the front. It was clearly designed to make someone think it was an official government document. I told the technician I thought this was deceitful and he indicated hw would let the owner know and someone would get back to me. I am not holding my breath. After this experience I will cancel our "service" agreement and fins someone with a better rating.

Although the unit was dented and we were told we would be getting a NEW replacement unit, I suspect we got the same unit with a new panel. The fact that the unit's never worked well seems to back up my suspicion. What makes it worse is that when we had them come back several years later, the service men said the Amana was junk. And it was a unit they recommended! Go figure!
Description of Work: We asked for a unit that would heat and air condition our home and bought an Amana (junk). We haven't had a cool day in the summer since, and the unit doesn't heat well, either (we also have a gas unit). Company dropped the unit and I suspect that's what caused the problem. This was in 2006 and we've had nothing but problems with the unit. I wouldn't use this company again. They once were good. Maybe others have had better experiences.

The contractor arrived on time. He told me that my A/C was leaking freon, that the compressor was shot, and that the whole system needed to be replaced. I declined to have him add freon because he said it would just leak out again. After he left, I called another company and found that the freon level was slightly low (but not leaking anywhere) and that the compressor was working fine. We requested our money back for the visit and a refund on the two year contract. We received the refund for both in a timely manner. I believe that the contractor was more interested in selling us a new unit than servicing what we had.

They gave me the estimate within about two days. We have a 25-year-old system that needed to be replaced. When they showed up, they were prompt, clean, and tidy.

They had great pricing. They are great. The manager came out with the guys to make sure everything got done right. The manager even brought out a space heater for the night before they did the job, because they didn't have the parts yet.
