The service was fine and they did what we needed them to do.

Great install. The entire job was done in two and 1/2 days. Eddie follow-up (twice!) to make sure we were happy with the work. You can probably find someone cheaper if you hunt around. However, for a floor that will be there for 20+ years you want a quality install like this.

Overall the installation went well. A few fixes/rework here and there (I'm picky), but the staff and crew were very responsive and easy to work with. Eddie and Sean were great. Will consider them for future projects.

are Because I found this provider on Angie's list and spoke with Eddie many times (was waiting to schedule the job until I was on vacation or work travel), I trusted the Tile Center to be in my home while I was away. Eddie made recommendations about the tile - I wanted non-slip for my pets and we looked at all of the options available for porcelain. He helped me to match my granite countertops and oak cabinets to just the right shade, and suggested options for installation and tile sizes. I went with 12" x 24" in a subway pattern. When the installer found that my underfloor was damaged, he replaced a number of sections. When I returned after four nights, there was still the final grouting to complete as the damage had delayed the job. The installers were present on Friday all day, so I had a chance to observe them. They were skilled, quick, polite, and cleaned up very well (important for grout). Originally we had thought that the tile would go all the way to the cabinets without any quarter rounds, but found out that my walls and counters were not quite square and this created gaps which would have looked strange with thin slivers of tile wedged in. Eddie suggested quarter rounds and gave me a nice discount on the price since he hadn't originally estimated it. Fred came to do the quarter rounds, and he went the extra mile by noticing that my bump-out window in the breakfast room was going to require awkward placement - he took a saw and sliced off the bottom 1/4" of the frame so the quarter round could be straight. He placed everything carefully, cut perfectly, and the finished job looks fabulous!

I think the service they offer I was able to do myself. They came out at a prompt manner and they gave me an estimate. I was satisfied with the service.

They quickly come up with a design, and work with us to produce a version that we like. Please note the drawing, according to the deal, was just a perspective drawing with no detail dimension. We ended up selecting them to implement the design; this was when things started going down hill. Since this review is just for the design, I just stop here and will provide a separate review for the actual installation

Absolutely perfect. Eddie he responsive and helpful, He helped us pick out materials. He followed up before installation began, And he came at the end of the job to make sure everything was just right. The installers were just as professional. Perfect attention to detail. We were very happy with the work and will use tile center again

Eddie Tirani, The Tile Center's design specialist, worked with us on a problem that was more than 20 year's old. The twenty plus year old ceramic floor in our house, had many tiles that need replacing. Mr. Tirani expertly worked with us to find an almost exact match. Not only did he check the color, pattern and size of our existing tiles, he also problem solved with us to find the best way of installing it. Mr. Tirani took our order for the replacement tile, and we received it within a few days. The Tile Center has a vast selection of tiles for every need. Their staff is knowledgeable and efficient. It was a pleasure doing business with them, and Mr. Tirani!

Came to my elderly mother's 1966 home to assess the condition and needs of the kitchen which had never been remodeled. Prepared a good design taking into the account its small size. Presented moderately priced items for the remodel which would result in the largest return when the home is sold. The owner and engineer came to the home to gather as much information as necessary to prepare for the remodel. Since my mother will be living there while the remodel takes place, they are devising an efficient and least time-consuming schedule to complete the remodel, which is to take place next month.

Very broad selection, great prices. I "over ordered" and the return was handled flawlessly. Staff very helpful.

I visited the Tile Center after being to several other tile retailers. I was immediately impressed with their selection and customer service. Eddie Tirani was very helpful and did an excellent job helping me. My tiles arrived promptly and even when the price was off a bit because of shipping charges, they held true to their price quoted. I am very happy with my experience and plan to visit them soon for my kitchen back splash - Nicole Urquilla

The Tile Center gave me the best service I have ever experienced in the 12 years I’ve lived in the Rockville area. They staff was always on time and extremely polite, answering all of my questions. They did a wonderful job placing the tile, and most importantly, they treated my home as if it were their own when it came to the finish work. The worker cleaned off the countertop and then cleaned up the floor, leaving it all in sparkling condition. Kudos to the Tile Center! I have recommended them already to several of my friends.

The Tile Center salesman and designer came and measured the bathroom and later I went to the Tile Center Store. The estimates were very expensive.

The overall quality of the workmanship was great! The precision of their tile layout is fantastic and a first rate job! Our new vanity cabinets and countertops are beautiful. We are extremely pleased with the overall work performed. Our only issues stem from communication challenges with our salesperson and the workers. During the process of securing our estimate, there were areas (ex: mirrors) which were discussed and requested to be framed out of the same wood as the vanity cabinets. However, these were left out of the estimate. So, if you use them, please double and triple check your estimate to make sure the scope of work is complete. After bringing this to their attention, they made the situation right to our satisfaction. Other communication issues involved our reuse of our 2 bathroom faucets. During the selection process, we chose our vanity cabinets and selected a type of granite. However, no discussion took place as to the thickness of the granite. In the end, our faucets were not made to accommodate a greater than 1" thick countertop. After dealing with Moen, the faucet manufacturer, we came up with a solution to make our existing faucets work. Had we known this up front, we would have gotten new faucets OR made the granite 3/4" which is standard for most faucets. Lastly, our salesperson seemed to be newer to the design aspect of this and wasn't as good at making suggestions on tiles, decorative accents, cabinet / granite combinations as I would have expected. We did, however, work through this and our selections turned out great.

Our salesperson was very helpful in the store. He showed us various options and had some good suggestions. He ordered samples and had them sent directly to my home, which was helpful. I'm still deciding between two colors, but have selected the tile I will use. The salesman also gave us an estimate for installation by email. My only complaint is that it took him a long time to respond to my question about the specific breakdown for each cost included in the estimate, but in the end he did respond and I intend to use them. They have a good selection; better than any other tile store I've gone to in the area. One warning: they are closed on Sundays. I found out the hard way, by driving all the way up there from DC.

I am repeat customer. I always have a good experience with them. They have an excellent selection.

Everything turned out excellent. They were outstanding, punctual, did everything they said they were going to do, cleaned up after themselves, and reasonable in price. I would recommend them to anyone. I had a lot of questions for the guy who performed the work and he was very knowledgeable in what he was talking about.

My salesman, Eddie is such a gentleman. He's not pushy, is very sincere. He's so creative. He had drawings made up for the 12 X 12 space. He is going to be building me a handicapped accessible shower. The tile he picked it solid porcelain. He's putting tile on the shower floors and walls. He is putting a niche in the shower. In addition they tiled the dressing area and both closets. They will provide all new fixtures (shower head, which has a separate hand-held unit. They are also going to install grab bars and towel bars.) The tile I picked is solid porcelain and is manufactured in Germany by a company the uses only 'green' technology. At my request, work did not begin until April. From the moment the job began, I was amazed that the pride which each person displayed. Each member of the Title Center staff arrived at the specified time and did not leave until the work for that day was complete. It took almost two weeks to tile the floors and walls in my master bath. And the quality of the workmanship is just amazing. I am so happy I picked Tile Center to do this job. Each member of their staff was so talented and caused so little disruption to my life. The end product is more than I expected. I feel like I had and army of Picasso's working on my bathroom.

They came out and pretty much just gave me the same layout I already had. There was nothing new or extra about the design.

The Big Deal was to include construction drawings, which they did not provide. They only provided the computer generated images and not the construction drawings. We asked the designer to ask his manager, but he said he was not available and would get back to us via email. He never did. Their personnel were pleasant, attentive and incorporated our design desires well. My only complaint was not receiving the construction drawings.

They were fantastic! Each specific task was done by one or more specialists with speed, accuracy, and precision. The crews cleaned up at the end of each day and were very professional. Although we found a minor issue after the work was completed and paid for, the tile center staff stood behind their work reordering and installing a replacement part with no hassle or charge.

The designer was pleasant and professional. The kitchen design was simple and functional. In the end, we wanted a more detailed kitchen design with higher end cabinetry and a better sense of the entire process ahead of us (e.g., ideas for better flow, selection of appliances, flooring, tile, lighting design, cabinetry, etc). We finally selected a local "soup to nuts" company that delivered years of experience, vendor references, custom cabinetry and a step-by-step schedule -- certainly a more costly choice but one that met our needs. This vendor delivered what was promised, in a pleasant and professional manner. The end product just wasn't exactly what we were seeking.
