Tile Center

Bathroom quickly and painlessly went from an embarrassing eyesore to a new modern showcase. Old bathroom was small and horribly cramped. New bathroom is roomy and comfortable.

Plans were fine, estimate was high.

Non-use of service had nothing to do with provider; I changed my plans.

Eddie from the Tile center helped me with the design and picking out the tile. In my master bath, a wall was removed and replaced by a half wall plus electricity for the new light was moved. The tub was removed and replaced by a glass walk in shower, new vanity and granite top and sink were installed, and new toilet was installed. The room was painted and a new light installed. All of the old tile on the floor and bath surround was removed and replaced. The new shower was built from tile and a new shower surround was tile. In the hall bathroom, I had the old tile on the floor and bath surround removed and replaced with the new tile. The old vanity was replaced with a new cabinet, granite top and sink. New toilet installed too. The room was painted. The powder room had new floor tiles installed, toilet replaced and a new granite top and sink was put on the existing cabinet. All rooms had new mirrors put up along with sink/bath/shower fixtures towel rods etc. All of the workers (Fred, Henry, and George) did an excellent job. They all arrived on time and took extra care not to leave a mess each day. They answered all my questions. Their supervisor (Mr. Kim) and Eddie came frequently to check out their progress. There were NO problems with their work. I am super pleased with the results. I would hire them again.

We purchased this as a Angie's List Big Deal. Immediately after purchase, we received a call from Anthony to discuss the project and set up an appointment. We met him at the strore and saw tiles available for the deal. An appointment was made for Design Specialist Eddie to come to our home to take measurements and make suggestions on tile, plumbing, and acessories. We then called to schedule the project. The Tile Center crew arrived on time. They were very pleasant, efficient, and kept mess to a very minumum. The project was completed on time and we are very happy with the outcome. We would love to use them again! Great job.

I purchased a big deal from them. They were responsive to me but the tile that they wanted to install did not look good. The other tile that I could have installed would have cost more money to have the tile installed so I did not use them.

When not satisfied, Tile Center promptly gave me my money back. Liked their store and their products. People easy to deal with. Do not remember the date of service but had to put in something.

Reza and his crew came out and installed my cabinets. They were very professional and went right to work to complete the job. It took them approximately 4 hours to complete the install. I am very satisfied with work done and especially my cabinets. I have maple cabinets, soft close doors and drawers in the exact style that I chose. I was concerned because I had to have a small sink base because I have a small kitchen, but it worked out perfectly. I have a 21" undermount sink and granite counter tops(this was not done by Tile Center) and everything fits within my vision for my new kitchen.

It was a little hard to finally get scheduled, but once we did, they came out, did their measurements and it took about a couple of weeks to get the design. To get the design, I had to travel to MD to their showroom. It was really more of a sales job and in the end, they gave me the drawings that I paid for, but would NOT give me drawings with any of the dimensions on it. So, I would have had to hire them to do the remodelling or redo the process with someone else. They did a good job with the design, but I wanted to get several bids on the work. Without the dimensions, you can't really do that. I felt a bit cheated. I would not have driven all the way to MD if I had known that I was not going to get something usable in the end.

They came out to look at my kitchen in June 2012 and I didn't receive the drawing until June 2013. I had to go into their salesroom to get the drawing and they had a sales pitch for me. It didn't seem finished and they were changing the design as I was there. They had a workshop that I attended and I signed a contract with them after the workshop. They will begin work on my kitchen later.

I was looking for them to create me an independent design and they just wanted to do the actual work.

The work went extremely smoothly. Frank Merrick was in charge of the project and he kept me informed about the progress throughout the process. There was about a one month delay in getting the work initiated, first because the vendor of the granite was experiencing some problems with their granite cutting machine, and then because of vacation plans for both Frank and my family. But when the work was started, it went very well and my family and I were very pleased with the finished product at the end. Frank used to stop by my house every evening to check on the progress made during the day. The entire project was quite painless and I recommend the Tile Center without hesitation.

Very well. They provided a professional computer rendered, 3-D drawing of the kitchen. Provider took measurements, asked the right questions, made proper suggestions and was very thorough addressing our concerns. Final design was prepared within the time they said it would be ready. Standard computer rendering accurately portrays the cabinets, counter top, appliances, etc. They even provided images for alternative designs. Drawings have been extremely helpful. Next step is to choose cabinets, appliances, etc., and of course the right price.

I was not completely satisfied with them. They did not spend much time discussing time what I wanted, maybe a half an hour at the most in the kitchen,. When I called to find out when I would receive the design plans, there was a back log of many weeks! I found the final results rather standard, and not creative.

Mr. Zia Rabbani , Manager Cabinetry/Countertop division, was very hands on during the project. He measured the space where the work was to be done and proved plans that met the specifications that were discussed during the visits to our home before the plans were finalized. He was very cooperative and professional in dealing with us. He is also a very personable gentleman. He made changes to the cabinet installation as requested without additional cost to the customer. He was also very receptive to any questions we had during the process. The cabinet installer preformed demolition as well as installing the new cabinets. Existing appliances were moved to another and reinstalled after the cabinets and floor was installed. The work area was cleaned at the end of each day. The firm The tile floor installer (Mike) is one of the best we have been associated with. His work and professionalism were first rate. He also installed the new back splash above the counter. The only problem occurred when Cambria, the countertop provider, was late in delivering the countertop material to the fabricator/installer. After the material was received and fabricated the project was completed without further delay.

We purchased the Angie's Deal for kitchen renovation design by the Tile Center. While they came to the house at the appointment time, that was over two weeks ago, and we have never heard back from them, nor have we received any designs with options by email, as promised. This experience has soured us on "Angie's Deals."

It was fine. They did a good job. I thought it was good price and he's very professional.

We purchased a Big Deal with Tile Center for a kitchen design. We worked with Anthony and Mr. Tushar. The response time was very fast. They arrived on time and spent a good amount of time measuring and ascertaining what we wanted. They made suggestions and asked questions. The next step was to visit their showroom to view the designs and consider material possibilities. We discussed numbers and ways of reducing the cost. At no point was there any pressure or rush. Unfortunately, we decided not to move forward because of budget constraints. It was not that we felt that their costs were our of line, but we decided we could not do all we wanted and to do less, at this time, would be unwise. When we called to declline to move forward, they were gracious and there was again no pressure. For what we paid we got a bargain. In the future if we decide to do the work we would not hesitate to call them.

The work was done quickly and very well. The sales man who coordinated the work was not very good, but still overall I am happy with the work and with the price. I would use them again provided I do not have the same sales man.

I used an Angie's List "coupon" to have someone from Tile Center inspect my bathroom and provide a 3-D diagram of upgrades. Anthony arrived on time and I showed him the bathroom and briefly told him what I would like to do with it. I explained that I would like to expand it and since there were several different ways this could be done, I'd like some ideas as the best way to do that. He was upstairs for a while (I had a roof inspector and a basement inspector there too). When he came downstairs, he told me he would have some drawings for me in a couple of weeks. As of July 26, I have not heard from Tile Center.

First, the selection at both the tile and carpet show rooms is excellent. We took home many samples many different times and Eddie was always very patient with us. He worked with us and made suggestions to match the rest of our decor. He came by our house several times before, during and after the work was done to help us make a decision on type and color of tile and carpet and to check on the progress and quality of the work. He also brought us a Boma floor cleaner for the grout between the tiles. He made sure we were happy with the quality and urged us to let him know about any questions or concerns we had in the future Eddie has a great personality that makes it easy to work with him. We were also lucky to have found such an expert in the field. The tile center and the carpet center next door have A ratings and they are much deserved. I'm sure their ratings are due in no small part to Eddie! The workers were the very best they could be from start to finish. Very professional. They hung plastic to keep any dust out of the rest of our house. They were careful to protect all of the surfaces in our kitchen and laundry room. They worked all day with a break for lunch. They did a fabulous job installing the gorgeous imported Italian porcelain tile that Eddie helped us pick out. We will definitely use them again! Thanks Eddie!!!!

I really appreciate how much they try to educate their consumers. The showroom is very nice with lots of samples and model kitchens, and high quality products. The people were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Ultimately, I decided that I wouldn't need their Big Deal because of the additional cost of the specific materials that I would want to use and the larger cabinets that I would need.

Guy came and spent about half hour measuring and taking pictures. About a month later he emailed he drawings of my kitchen with changes I told him I had been thinking about doing.

Plans were delivered as advertised.
