The Kitchen & Bath Studio

I needed to do a complete overhaul of two baths that were new in 1965. Kitchen and Bath Studio was very helpful in planning and estimating the work and spent plenty of time with me in the showroom to select all items that would be installed - tile, fixtures, toilets, countertops, cabinets, sinks, lighting fixtures, paint to complement counters and tile, etc. The crew was excellent and precise in their work, and the results are lovely! See pictures attached.

We absolutely LOVE our new bathroom and we felt like we were treated exceptionally well by everyone we worked with at the Kitchen and Bath Studio (TKBS) - especially the owner and managers Dan and Ray. They didn't try to guide us toward specific materials, products and colors like the folks at Metropolitan Bath did. Although I thought that was really helpful, we are definitely happier with what TKBS delivered than we were with the final design from Metro Bath. Metro was not willing to do paint, but TKBS did. Not only did TKBS exceed our expectations, their final cost was more than 1/3 less than Metro Bath & Tile. We couldn't be happier with our choice!

My stress over this project was through the roof, and a Kentlands neighbor highly recommended Kitchen and Bath Design. Prior to hiring them, we received many quotes and designs from other vendors but none of them "clicked" for us. Dan and the folks at KBD took the time to understand exactly what WE wanted (not what the designers thought we should have...). They guided us through the whole process of picking out the details. They completely gutted the 20+ year old master bath and turned it into the most beautiful bathroom you've ever seen. The workmen were fantastic - super hard working, punctual every single day, and very respectful of our home. My husband said that they left the house cleaner when they left every evening than I do on a regular basis. Our next project is the kitchen, and I wouldn't even consider having anyone else do it. What I anticipated being a stressful, noisy, intrusive experience turned out to be smooth as glass, and we couldn't be happier.

Remodel went well. Dan and his team were great to work with. While the remodel took longer then anticipated, much of the delay was due to dependencies on third party vendors and delivery of supplies.

We recently moved to an older home that was screaming for a complete kitchen overhaul. We had never considered a renovation project this large before and we were overwhelmed at the prospect of starting. We, like most people, had only heard nightmares about contractors and the renovation process. We interviewed and received estimates from 4 different companies. We called Dan because we had recently driven past The Kitchen and Bath Studio and we wanted to get one more estimate, but didn’t know who to call. We did not personally know anyone who had used him before. Dan was the only contractor of the 4 with whom we met who came to our house for an initial visit within days of our initial call; I think he came over the very next day. He then said he would have an estimate to us within two days. I didn’t believe him because the other companies took weeks to get back to us. Sure enough, less than two days later, we had our estimate and computerized drawings of an initial design. Dan continued to be that responsive to all our calls and texts throughout our decision process and throughout the project. If he couldn’t respond right away, I would at least receive a text or email confirming receipt of my inquiry and notifying me when he would be back in touch. He was a pleasure to work with from the first day through the last. Our project consisted of new cabinetry, countertops, backsplash, and major redirecting of some plumbing and the A/C vent. Our project also involved demo-ing an existing wet bar, breaking through to a closet in the bedroom behind it, and enlarging the space to install a desk and built-in cabinets. Also, we needed to add hardwood floors in the kitchen and under the new desk that had to perfectly match the hardwood floors in the adjoining family room. The demo phase presented a problem that we had not anticipated. For various reasons, Dan and his outstanding team recommended that we make our ceiling in the kitchen even higher, which in turn would mean that they would have to add trim to the top of the cabinets to make it look finished. We are so happy with this recommendation! Our finished kitchen is truly our dream kitchen and it is as functional as it is beautiful. Dan and his team completed the project exactly when they said they would, which was 4 WEEKS SOONER than the other 3 estimates we received. No one can believe how fast they completed this project and the quality is top notch. Dan cared about every detail. And we can’t say enough good things about his hardworking team. As Dan repeatedly told us, Jose, Edwin, and the crew are ‘no joke.’ These guys are somehow meticulously careful and exact and fast (and clean!) at the same time. Their number one priority was to keep us happy. Dan called the day after the project was complete to check on everything and to see if there was anything else we needed or wanted. We will not hesitate to use Dan and The Kitchen and Bath Studio again for future remodeling projects and we highly recommend them.

The Kitchen & Bath Studio was referred to us by a friend who used this company to re-do a bathroom. We were in desperate need to have our kitchen remodeled and went to the showroom. Dan was very nice and professional from the start. He scheduled a time to come to our house to measure the kitchen and had a very fast turn time on a cabinet design. He helped us with some key decisions and guided us when picking tile and granite. He and his team showed up on time and were quick, efficient and professional. They made the space perfect, even fixing and re-painting the ceiling and walls. I have recommended them to many friends and we would most certainly use them again. Five stars.

It couldn't have been better. Dan Linder was a delight to work with - his estimate was extremely competitive. Dan was very professional, responsive and honest and, because of his expertise, presented us with some options we had not previously considered. His skilled crew, led by Jose and Edwin, were always punctual, courteous and showed amazing attention to detail. I would definitely call Dan for any future projects.

Dan and his crew are wonderful! I called Dan about an urgent, time sensitive job on a rental unit. The kitchen ceiling was caving in due to incorrect studs being used, and the weight of the light was bringing it down. Dan immediately came out for an estimate, correctly assessed the problem, and fit us into his busy schedule for the week. Another contractor from the rental association came out to assess the issue, provided an incorrect assessment of the cause, estimated that the job would take over a week and provided a high estimate. Dan and his crew got the job in 2.5 days, his estimate was under our budget and they were very neat and professional! The new ceiling looks fantastic, and Dan selected an amazing light to highlight the terrific, upscale new ceiling. I highly recommend Dan and his crew!

Dan and his crew were absolutely fantastic. They had our best interests in mind during the entire project. Dan is a true professional and perfectionist who won't rest until the client is completely satisfied. His follow thru on all aspects of the remodel was amazing! We would hire him again in a heartbeat.

We were so happy with the work Dan and his team did renovating the bathrooms in our previous house, that we knew we wanted him to do the work in our new house as well! On a tight timeline, they were able to move our cooktop, replace counters and backsplash, build a new island, and paint nearly the whole house. Dan again was extremely helpful in finding the perfect materials for the look I wanted in the kitchen- everyone who comes to the house comments on how beautiful it is! The Kitchen and Bath Studio were professional, friendly, and worked very hard (day and night!) to get this all done between our closing and move in dates. We couldn't be happier with the quality of work, all done at a very competitive rate. I highly recommend them for any kitchen, bath, painting, or other home renovation job.

Excellent job. Cleaned, scraped and two coats of paint. His team was on time and cleaned the area around the deck. We will be using Dan again to paint the master bath this week.

We are very pleased and delighted with the work, Dan and his crew were very easy to work with and dedicated to providing us a finished product that met our expectations He took the initiative, even at some cost and trouble to himself, to solve problems that arose from a supplier we had selected. We felt that he and his crew were as interested in the quality of the end product as were we - a good partnership in our book. Extra work was accomplished without any increase in price so no nickel and diming.

Initially I was not that excited about this project but it was a present for my husband and something he had wanted for a long time. I decided to do this as a surprise birthday present and didn't really know where to start. Dan made it easy! Our garage was a mess but he determined what was needed, offered great solutions for our needs, kept me within my budget and managed to get the work completed while my husband was gone for a weekend golf trip. Once again Dan and his crew were amazing. My garage looks like another room of the house! I can't say enough about the professionalism, craftsmanship and integrity of this company. The renovation is going great. Dan takes great pride in his work. He has helped us make selections, create a vision, and then execute that vision. Dan is great to work with and always accessible.

I cannot say enough good things about Dan and his team. They did high quality work at a very reasonable price, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. Working with a contractor and home remodeling can be extremely stressful activities, but working with Dan and his crew was great. Dan is very knowledgeable regarding kitchens and baths and what will look good, but he is also very respectful of his clients' tastes and preferences and wants to make sure they get what they want. He offered a good selection of cabinetry and other items, and also put us in touch with an excellent counter top provider. When planning the layout of our new kitchen and master bath, he showed us what was possible and helped us get what we wanted. He was very patient while we decided what we wanted and how we wanted rooms to look. He also pointed out things that could be done to save money. During the actual work on the house, Dan and his team were always professional, courteous, and helpful. They would often ask our input as things progressed (e.g., making sure we were satisfied with the placement of various things, how things looked, etc.). On a few occasions we asked for things to be changed, and it was never a problem. The work was done well and completed on time. As on most jobs of this size, there were some changes and additions along the way, but Dan did not nickel and dime us and did not charge us extra for a number of extra things we ask for (even though I told him several times I would pay more if needed!). After completion, we noticed a few minor things that needed attention (again, normal for any construction project). Dan has been very responsive and has quickly taken care of each of those items. I highly recommend Dan and would absolutely hire him again.

Our previous vanity with a different company was the wrong color. Dan was able to get us a vanity and stone in less than a week, which kept us on schedule!

Very well. I felt this was the most professional, reliable contractor I've ever worked with. When he set a deadline, he met those deadlines . The work was done well, and the workers were friendly and respectful and very careful about how they worked. Dan always had good suggestions about the selection of materials etc, and we were so pleased with the final products. I would highly recommend this contractor.

Dan and his crew are professional, pleasant to work with and do excellent work at reasonable prices. They arrive on time, work neatly and efficiently and coordinate with me as the work is being done. Dan also takes a lot of time at the onset of a job to consult with his clients from a design and build standpoint, as well as cost. I will continue to work with Dan and his team for many years to come!

The folks at Kitchen & Bath Studio showed up on time, completed the work on predicted time, cleaned up after everyday. Their workers were very professional and courteous. I cannot tell you how pleased we were with their work !!!! Would definitely recommend them.

Dan and his team at The Kitchen and Bath Studio are awesome! This is the second time we have used them for a remodeling project. Previously, he did a complete remodel of our laundry room and a staircase railing update. From start to finish the kitchen remodel went flawlessly. Dan helped us with the design and layout for the new kitchen. We wanted a wall removed and plumbing moved and his team was able to do all that we ask without any problems. The crew showed up each day on time and always cleaned up the work area before leaving at the end of the day. All the remodeling projects we have done with Dan have stayed on budget. Our kitchen went from dark and outdated to a open bright beautful kitchen!

Dan and the KBS team were great to work with, and we intend to work with them again for a bathroom renovation! They worked with us to create the scope of our project to ensure it met our budget and time requirements. They also worked with us to allow us to perform certain aspects of the project that we wanted to perform. The KBS team communicated very well with us and delivered a product that exceeded our expectations! We love the final product, and look forward to working with KBS on our next renovation adventure!

The day we moved in our new home, Dan and his team were the first ones there prepping the kitchen and getting started on the sensitive and intricate designed back splash that we had picked out. We had a lot of square footage and it was quite the job. They were all professionals during the process and we couldn't be more happy about the job The Kitchen and Bath Studio did. We highly recommend them. While they weren't the most inexpensive quote we received, they easily proved it was worth it due to the quality service and end product.

Dan and his team went above and beyond in our bathroom remodel - the new bathroom is AMAZING and even better than we could have imagined. There were a few problems and changes that sprung up, but Dan and his team handled them professionally and without any negativity. They went with the changes and were very patient in awaiting different things to arrive. A+
