+ -1 moreThe provider returned our call immediately. He came to inspect the shower within a few days, gave us an estimate, and a few days after that began work. Two men worked two half days, then a single man finished the work in two more full days. The men were courteous, professional, and very conscientious about their work. Several of the other companies we called did not even bother giving us an estimate, and one did not even return our call until after the work had been completed. Not only was the shower back in shape quickly, but had upgrades to the door and hardware.
Description of Work: The tiles were falling off our shower, and the walls had slight damage. After a brief consult of options and directives, the provider removed the old tiles, shower door, and walls, then replaced some insulation, the durock, walls, tiles and shower door, as well as the water handle and shower head.

+ -1 moreThe job went extremely well (please refer to my previous comments as well). The workers promptly arrived to my house at the arranged time. They immediately went to work and they all worked like "clockwork"! The manner in which they worked together and the technical expertise (they thoroughly understood "load-bearing" construction and know how to apply it) gave me the impressive that they were doing this job as if my garage were their own garage. That's the type of pride and technical proficiency they consistently exhibited. When they maneuvered/"turned" that 19 foot long beam in my garage, they did it in a manner that prevented any contact with items on the many selves along the walls. When jacking up that 500 lb beam, they made sure the area was cleared and the jacking setup itself was well secured (that is, we were not going to have "sprung" 4 X 4 studs (which were placed between the jack and beam)). I had no reservations about how and what they were doing to "un-sag" the ceiling over my garage. I could not have had a more professional, hard-working and customer-service oriented team of construction experts doing this job.
Description of Work: The first thing I would like to point out is that The Kitchen and Bath Studio is a VERY VERSITILE COMPANY. This company is a "multi-expertise" home or business improvement company capable of accomplishing any project, large or small. I hired Kitchen and Bath Studio Team to install a heavy-duty "LVL", wooden, ceiling-support beam in my garage. Prior to the installation of the beam, the ceiling over my two-car garage was badly sagging (and getting more "sag-ly" with each passing day) due to excessive weight of the items being stored in the attic area over the garage. The Kitchen and Bath Studio sent a team of construction experts to my house, less than a week after I contacted The Kitchen and Bath Studio, on a Saturday morning. I needed a quickly responding contractor to fix a very serious, structural problem. The Kitchen and Bath Studio This team assembled one beam by using two, 250 lb beams bolted together (installing at least 3/4 inch bolts at one-foot, staggered intervals). Five workers hoisted and then carefully set this massive, 19 foot long beam into place using hydraulic jacks. They then secured both ends of he beam by using a set of 4 ("air-nailed" together) 2 X 4 studs. The beauty of this "LVL" beam is that it completely eliminated the need for an obstructive center post as I always keep two cars in the garage. The team used a special laser technology for achieving exact levelness. They also went further then most contractors would by re-nailing the surrounding ceiling sheet-rock surfaces surrounding the previously sagged area. This was a perfect finishing touch. Also I need to mention that safety and quality control were a foremost consideration throughout the duration of the work. The team was finished in about 3 hours. Thanks! for Kitchen and Bath Studio, I can now "rest easy" -- I have well secured garage ceiling under an attic space in which I currently store a ton of collectible items and large pieces of household items. Now when I walk on the attic floor, I can tell it's solid -- it does not "bounce" at all! As I recall the total cost of labor and materials was extremely reasonable. KUDOS! to Kitchen and Bath Studio!

+ 2 moreMr. Dan Lindner, the company's president, came to personally review the job and provided a detailed estimate via e-mail within 24 hours. The price we were quoted was extremely competitive, and we were especially impressed that the quote was all inclusive, they were not interested in nickel and diming us. Mr. Lindner was exceedingly professional in his manner, as well as being very pleasant and courteous to work with. We met with him first at our home and then at his showroom in Gaithersburg, MD, where we went over every detail of the job and picked out tile and cabinetry from his wonderful selection. We found their workers to be highly skilled, trustworthy, and easy to talk to about any changes necessary while the job was being done. The work they did exceeded our expectations in every way! Our two bathrooms are so beautiful!! We have received many compliments from people about how nice the bathrooms look and the choice and quality of the tile and cabinets, all of which we have Mr. Lindner to thank for helping us to find. Because we were so pleased with how our bathrooms turned out, we've gone on to use Fix It, LLC (an affiliated home repair service) for other jobs we needed done around our home, including lots of painting, and general handyman items. All work has been excellent in every way. We feel very fortunate to have found this team. We will be using their services again in the future, and we would highly recommend their company to anyone wanting to redo a kitchen or bathroom, or for any home improvement need.

We heard about Dan and his team from our realtor, and we couldn't be happier with the service he provided. Dan and his foreman Jose offered great design advice, were honest and forthcoming about costs and potential issues, and offered great solutions to anything that came up during the install. His team showed up on time every day, cleaned up after themselves daily, and took appropriate measures to make sure that the rest of the house wasn't affected by the construction going on in the kitchen. What we ended up with was a brand new, modern kitchen that we love using. When we ended up with some problems with plumbing a week later (which was the result of old pipes - a potential issue with the home itself that Dan warned us about during the initial walkthrough....above and beyond!), they fit us in within a day and came out and redid all of the pipes going to the kitchen inside of that day. The water has been fantastic since! Friendly, professional, prompt, clean, thorough....all of these words and more describe both Dan and his team. We're already looking at future remodels and will be happy to use them again!

+ 5 moreThe professionalism, punctual appointments, courtesy and ability to modify your contract with changes on the fly. This is crucial because contract modifications can be burdensome with other contractors but Dan e.g. owner of Kitchen & Bath Studio motto is tell me what you want one phone call it's done after he told you verbally what the cost differential would be and it was always as he quoted. You might have to purchase your own materials because one it's cheaper, two you know what you want more so than the contractor and three the materials will be there when you need them to be because you got them but it helps your pricing tremendously! You can of course get them to get everything for you but then the price I quoted grows exponentially. So how good was his work? Well we'll tell you that we recently refinanced the home several months after the appraisal came in over $50k over what we paid for the home I think that speaks for itself. I don't believe you will find a contractor who is more economical and accurate in their material, costing, scheduling etc. Dan tells you up front what looks right, what's worth it and what's not worth it, what you can do later, etc. very honest and sincere. His team or preferably his right hand partner pays attention to detail and micromanages his workers as Dan does. It saves you some time having to go behind a contractor for the entire job. Even if you find things they don't see they fix it with no arguing and promptly. The only criticism I can say which is more of my ignorance than theirs is make sure you know your paints. I am not talking about color and finishes I am talking about builders grade versus non-builders grade, premium vs standard, etc. even if it is all Benjamin Moore not all models of the paint are considered equal at all. Unfortunately when you have small children you learn the hard way and simple scratches will not buff out with magic eraser as you think. Outside of that there is nothing I can say else. We will use Kitchen & Bath when we redo our kitchen and bathrooms entirely which are the largest final phases of our remodeling.
Description of Work: Repainted interior of entire home, touched up exterior, surround sound speaker installation in basement, ethernet installation for basement, den and main floor, crown molding on two floors, recessed lighting LED in basement, replaced every switch, lighting fixture (ceiling included) and fans in the house. custom built shelf above fireplace, replaced all toilets in the house, shadow boxes in dining room and replaced baseboards in all bathrooms.

Beyond that, he had great ideas on ways to utilize our space better AND save us money. Dan and his team have an impressive attention to detail, and are a pleasure to work with and have in our home. We have already had them back for other small projects and will continue to use them for any projects we have!
Description of Work: We bought a new house and wanted to overhaul the entire main floor. The Kitchen and Bath Studio remodeled our kitchen and powder room, removed a wall, removed a fireplace, replaced all flooring on the main level and painted the entire level.

The project came in on budget and EARLY. We were without our master bath for just two weeks! Amazing! Our bathroom could now easily be in a magazine or on Houzz - which is where I sent our pics! I'm very particular when it comes to house projects - there was no finding fault which this top notch company!
Description of Work: The Kitchen & Bath Studio did a total reno of our master bath and the results are nothing short of stunning. This reno included design advice, multiple complimentary consultations about the design, (the owner even accompanied my husband and I to the tile store to help us sort through the overwhelming choices), the job itself which entailed moving our shower and double vanity to another side of the bathroom and then any punch list items upon completion. This was a massive project that uncovered one uneven wall that required work in order to properly lay the tile. All of this was performed with the highest degree of care by a skilled team whom I couldn't wait to tip because they so clearly care about the client and the project.

Their responsiveness to any ask that I had was immediate. From the planning of the renovation with Dan and Jose to working with the team daily while I still lived in my house, they were always kind and courteous. Even after the job was done I noticed something on a cabinet and they were back within a day to look at it and the panel was replaced within the week. Dan shared great ideas, was honest and it was a true collaboration working with him and the result is a home that now "feels like my home!". They already know they'll be coming back next year to do the master and guest bathrooms! It was a true pleasure working with them throughout this whole process and I would, and have, recommended them to so many friends and family. Thank you Dan!

The bathroom is beautiful and adds so much to our homes. Each of the other bathrooms also had significant work done (new flooring, toilets, faucets, counters, new vanity or painting of vanities, new wall paint). The quality of their work is top notch, and the staff was always very professional, friendly, helpful, and punctual. They even went out of their way to help me with a some things that weren't technically part of the job. I would highly recommend the Kitchen and Bath Studio to anyone considering a kitchen or bath renovation.

+ 1 moreFrom start to finish the proccess was proffesional, prompt and on time. From picking out the cabinets and choosing granite, Dan was patient and helpful. He gave us some great suggestions that we weren't even thinking about. We had a wine cooler, under cabinet lighting, and backsplash done. The project also included changing our island to accommodate stools for a eating area. The taller cabinets we went with allowed us to store so much more than we could previously. Changed several outlets that allow us now to charge all the phones and tablets we have. So convienent! We are getting ready to to our Master Bathroom next. I will be using them again for sure. I'm sort of picky when it comes to details, and these guys do it right!
Description of Work: The Team was incredible, my wife and I decided we wanted to redo our out dated kitchen. The team came out and in a week transformed my out dated kitchen into something very special. Several neighbors after seeing our newly remodeled kitchen, also redid theirs using the Kitchen and Bath studio. What was nice is they can do it all. Flooring, walls, electrical, plumbing ect. One stop shop!
