I contacted Phil Termini in December to get an idea of how much it would cost to refinish an old cedar chest that had belonged to my mother-in-law. He was with another customer but took my number and called me back within a few minutes. When I described the piece he told me he thought it would cost about $400. When we arranged to drop off the piece he was very flexible. Phil is a very professional, down to earth, friendly person. We talked about the damage on the piece and I felt confident Phil would do everything possible to restore the cedar chest to its original beauty. The work was completed in a couple of weeks as promised and we are so pleased! All of the damage was repaired, the lock was cleaned and reinstalled, and the finish is just beautiful! My husband remarked he did not know it was such a beautiful piece of furniture, and that his mother would be very happy if she could see it now! I would not hesitate to recommend Termini Furniture to my family and friends, and I would certainly use their services again.

I am beyond thrilled at the job Termini Furniture Service did to restore my furniture! My two pieces are gorgeous now. The color of the wood is warm and shows the beautiful grain of the walnut in one and cherry in the other. It was obvious to me that Phil appreciated the pieces and he even did some repair on the drawers (tiny add-on cost with my permission) and put in new, more fitting little knobs on the desk's cubby holes (no charge). I will absolutely use them again.

As part of a family room renovation, we were planning to updating our interior window shutters from the original 1970 dark 4 panel 1and quot; louver to bright white. We had a bad experience special ordering vinyl replacements, but got our money back, and decided to retrim and repaint the old shutters. We had a three week deadline with company coming. We got only one very high estimate from a single painter with no guarantee to color match them to room trim. With no other options, I thought about painting them myself, but could not figure an approach to make the deadline. I went to Angie's List not expecting any hits on and quot;shutter paintingand quot; but got a number of furniture refinishing people. One of these was Termini Brothers, which I remembered a friend recommending for an earlier project. I called and Phil Termini answered. I told him that I had 16 shutter panels and 8 mounting strips to be painted and did not expect him to be interested, however, he not only said he could do the work but also gave me some tips on how to do it myself if that's what I wanted to do. I next told him my deadline, assuming it would be a deal-killer, but he said he thought he could work with it, and he gave me a rough price subject to inspecting the shutters that was quite a bit less than half of the other one I had gotten. I removed the hardware from the shutter pieces and brought them in along with a gallon of our trim paint. Phil stuck to his phone estimates for cost and schedule. He said that he would like to spray paint them with his own top paint, but he agreed to test the color against ours before starting. He found that they didn't quite match, and used our paint for all but stain-block primer, without changing the estimate. The results were as good as I could have hoped for and three days ahead of schedule, more than enough for our remodeling contractor to install them by the deadline. The shutters look great and they complete the room. What makes this a special effort, above a job well done, is that Phil's usual work is restoration, refinishing and reupholstery of some extremely fine furniture pieces, some of which I admired in various states of completion in his shop, yet, he took on our humble shutter project without hesitation, and with, I might add, very good humor. I would recommend Termini Brothers for any furniture projects anyone might have, and certainly shutter repainting, although I would not wish the situation that Phil saved us from on anyone else.

Initial contact was by email. Received a phone call from Phil Termini within a day. He described the likely problem and provided an estimate of the repair cost: $400 for the repair work including materials, and $100 for pickup/delivery. I waited a few months passed before I got around to scheduling the work, but he honored the initial price. Their repair schedule was light, so we scheduled the pickup some time within the next week. I got a call later that day that the repair was going well and would be completed the next day. So, the repaired sofa was returned only two days after they picked it up. It feels great--like new. Our sofa uses a slipcover, so it wasn't terribly important that the cloth covering/upholstery over the sofa frame be replaced perfectly. Still, they reattached everything perfectly and cleanly so that it was impossible to tell that work was done. Also, Termini's price was the lowest of the three "A" Angie's List vendors I contacted for quote.

Phil took my chairs and painted them to look like stain. He did such an amazing job that NO ONE can tell it is not really stain! Wonderful price, fast service, great guy. I am totally delighted. I would hire him again in a heartbeat!

He is very good but is not super cheap; however you get good quality. He is prompt; you deliver the furniture to his house and he will call you when it is ready and then you pick it up; it works. He did the leg on the coffee table job for free. He has done caning on chairs and tightened up an old antique chair that I had. He has a nice manner and is easy to talk to; he is a nice man. He does what he says he is going to do.

Mr. Termini did the work exactly as promised and actually finished sooner than he had estimated. The chair is now good for another 30 years!

I am very happy. Company did a terrific job. Love seat needed a lot of attention and now it looks great. Bench had accord seat which was frayed and now it looks brand new. Rocker had needle point seat which was coming apart and company did a great job on that, also. Phil Termini is very personable, polite, courteous, respectful and a gentleman.

The Termini Brothers' work is of the highest quality: attention to detail, and respect for and understanding of antiques. He is a true craftsman. He finishes projects at the promised deadline and is a pleasure to work with. The completed projects are perfect and I have complete confidence in him.
