First met with Sean Reilly to go over what I had in mind. He was extremely attentive and seemed very knowledgeable in all the different aspects of my job. He offered many suggestions and was very honest in explaining why some of my ideas weren't the best way of doing things. Based on my finished product I am glad I listened. There is nothing fun about having your kitchen torn up, but the crew that did the work seemed to go out of their way to make it easier on us and worked in a very efficient manner. We are thrilled with our new kitchen and would use Steve Myers Quality Home Improvements again.

Apart from the delay due to the countertops, which caused the work to take about 2.5 weeks longer than we were told, the job went very well. The tear-out was done within a week and the dust and mess was confined to the kitchen and cleaned up daily. The workmen got our laundry room back in useable condition in reasonable time. We were also able to get the refrigerator in and working as soon as the laundry room work and the electrical work were completed. This made getting some meals a little easier. As work progressed, we were consulted if there was a problem and if we changed our mind about something or discovered some additional piece of work, it was addressed to our satisfaction. Two examples: We decided to have lights installed in one of the cabinets after they were installed, we raised it with Steve and his crew and we came up with a reasonable solution that was not very costly. In another case, we had asked for a new outlet installed next to one of the light switches. Toward the end of the job we noticed that this had not been done. It was addressed within a day or two. Our new kitchen is beautiful and a pleasure to use. We were happy with the job done by Steve Meyers Quality Home Improvements and used them for another smaller job a few months later.

It was a little difficult to get the job scheduled but finally the painter arrived and at the end of the day the door looked very nice. 2 days after the door was painted I noticed that the paint was peeling off in two areas. I called Steve Myers and he had his painter come out to repair the paint on the door. When I returned home from work I noticed that there was still an area with peeling paint. The painter had removed the can of paint so I didn't have matching paint. I repeatedly called Steve Myers Quality Home Improvements to request that the remaining area with peeling paint be repaired or that they at least return the paint so that I could repair it but I never heard from Mr. Myers or the painter.

It was the worst job. The guy who came to work didn’t know everything, but he was out to work on everything. I think he didn’t know to read and couldn’t seem to follow instructions. There was so much that went wrong that I couldn’t tell enough. He was not a licensed electrician or plumber. We were not satisfied with the bathroom remodeling so we wanted to cancel the kitchen remodeling. However he tried to charge us more in the name of design fee. They took double the time for the job.

Steve Myers Quality Home were the primary general contractor for our renovation. They coordinated the work. Provided design details and subcontracted other services providers for this big kitchen renovation. Steve and his whole team, especially Brian the carpenter and project chief, did a superb job. Quality, professionalism and fine craftmanship were hallmarks of this contractor. They performed demolition, drywall, cabinet installation, appliance installation. The work was done on time, at the price estimated. They cleaned the entire area each evening and partitioned off the work so that other dust didn't enter the home.
