Josh was on time, kind and courteous. He diagnosed the problem with the heater. Advised us as to what the problem was and the cost to fix it. He had everything needed to fix the repair in my home. He was finished and our water heater fixed.

The plumber arrived on time, introduced himself and used boot covers to keep our place clean. He climbed into the attic to install shut off valves for our shower as it did not have any. After he could properly shut off the water, he removed the leaking shower fixtures and found that whoever remodeled our bathroom before we owned the house did not use brass fittings. The steel fittings were corroded and partially clogged. he replaced these as well. He installed a new shower head and handle that we purchased from an outside vendor. As for the plumbing work, everything went fine and I would recommend them; however, there was an unusual problem that occurred. The plumber cut himself on the new shower handle and bleed all over the bathroom. He asked me for bandaids which I gave him. He didn't tell me how much blood was all over the bathroom. He tried to wipe it up I think, but after he left and I went to straighten things up, I found blood EVERYWHERE - on my walls, floor, throw rug, shower curtain, sink and shower doors. I understand random things happen but I spent the next two hours bleaching my entire bathroom from floor to ceiling and washing everything on "sanitary" cycle.

Plumber was very quick to respond and arrived when they said. After they diagnosed what they thought the problem was, they stated they needed to return the following day with more equipment which they stated would solve the problem. When they returned the following day, they spent two hours attempting to locate the problem with their additional equipment to no avail. Ultimately we were charged almost $800 with no solution and ended up having to bring in another plumber to resolve the issue. We understood that we would incur some charges associated with their work (and were happy to pay) but felt the total fee was very unreasonable given that they were not successful in resolving the issue or even identifying where the problem was. A call to the owner to discuss the charges proved fruitless as he claimed they had identified the problem, which they hadn't, and said he would look further into it and call us back which he never did. We were stuck paying the bill as they insist on payment before they leave. Overall, we did not feel like we were treated fairly or with respect as we were never given the courtesy of a return phone call.

They were timely, prompt, efficient and professional. I was pleased with the service.

The employee who arrived was excellent. Courteous, did the job and explained what he was doing. Left everything very clean and tidy. The price was exactly as quoted as there is a minimum charge so no surprise and we needed the work done. However, i thought that given that the plumber was already in the area and fitting us between jobs, it was a very expensive 10 minutes.

Nice guy. Professional. Showed up on time. Can understand his having some problems installing given what he was working with. Did okay job. A couple of spouts aren't exactly at a 90 degree angle but I can live with the way they are installed. He did show me a few things I could do to save money and let me know that Moen replaces parts for free with the warranty, however, $1400 is a bit steep. They did warn me up front of their rates so I'm not really complaining, just not jumping for joy either. In the end, would rather pay more to have someone I'm comfortable with in the house for several hours, than someone I'm worried might not respect my stuff and pets so, again, not really complaining.

I decided that I did not want to go with this company at this time.

I was impressed that even though he (Chris) located a crack in the drainage pipe, he tested and checked until he had found another joint that was cracked. I can imagine a different person might have seen the crack, repaired it, and closed it up only to have the leak reappear in the upcoming months. He was so thorough and so careful. The job involved a leak in the wall in the basement which eventually led to cutting into the back of one of the kitchen cabinets to find the second cracked pipe (ABS) in the sub floor behind the cabinet. you can imagine how difficult to reach that was. But he did a great job and cleaned up afterward. In general it was everything i could have expected. The office people were also very responsive and courteous. PS: my neighbor saw the Stang truck and said they had used them before and were very happy with them.

Called with a leaking toilet and they worked me in to that day's schedule. Plumber arrived on time, complete the work in an hour and was professional in his appearance and conduct.

Water heater pilot light went out over the weekend. Called the folks at Stang, and they were able to come out on Monday (prompt, polite, and courteous). Our water heater is ~10yrs old- not ancient, but the parts weren't as readily available as a newer model. The guys were able to diagnose the problem, find the part & retrieve it, install and clean up within 1.5hrs. Given that they had to drive to retrieve the part (and in DC traffic), I'd say that's pretty good from start to completion. Left the work area clean and tidy. Business-like, timely, technically proficient and polite? Awesome.

Expert service. I appreciated that he wrote out a detailed receipt for us, since I needed to provide it to our landlord for reimbursement. I also appreciated the same day service.

He found an additional problem with the commode, which he was able to repair, too. He was right on time for the scheduled appointment, and found and fixed another problem with the commode, too. Cleaned up the area after he was done, and was very polite and courteous. I even got an e-mail from a lady in the company's office, asking me to remind Sean about the Angie's list discount.

Provider was on time and fixed the hose bib and leak without having to replace it and cut open our ceiling. We were certainly appreciative of that.

There was a problem with one of the toilets rocking after they left in a secondary bathroom and they were hesitant to come back out to take a look at it. It took two phone calls to get them to come back out. It went alright overall and scheduling was fine.

Everything turned out well. They were very responsive, they showed on time, and they corrected the issues satisfactorily. They also did a good job of cleaning up after themselves.

Service provider was extremely responsive and was able to provide service even sooner than initially expected. The plumber was outstanding - professional, personable, and competent! And the price was great!

On Saturday, May 3, 2014 @ 1:15pm we realized that our sump pump had stopped working: our pit was nearly full of water and the pump was no longer working. I called my regular plumbing company but they had no "emergency service" extension. Then I went to Angies' List to get the names of recommended plumbing companies that handle sump pump issues. I called 3 of those with "work on weekends" and left a message about the nature and its urgency. The first response, within 30 minutes, that I got was: STANG PLUMBING, plumber Rob: 1. He listened to what I had to say (I am a home owner, not a plumber). 2. He explained to me in incredibly clear language what the problem was and what my options were. He also explained to me the battery back up sump pump I was considering but found unsuitable. 3. He quoted both the rates for the weekend service as well as the cost for the new Zoeller made sump pump - it turned out the sump pump we purchased only 2 years ago and which stopped working, is considered "builders grade". 4. Rob also explained to me the cost of the service during regular working hours--much less but should I take a chance and have the basement flooded? I pondered but ... We decided to pay and get it done - Rob had all installed, the old pump taken out without any spills within the one hour included in the quoted rate--and we are very happy customers! Also special thanks to Angie's list that enabled us to find the appropriate service providers as quickly as needed. Thanks a lot to everyone!.

Ron showed us the high- standing water in the pipe, snaked it until he cleared a difficult obstruction and then gave us the news that there was a 99% probability that the pipe was broken. To replace it would require digging underground. His explanation and answers were thorough and excellent.

The repairman arrived on time and explained everything he needed to do in detail. My husband asked many questions and everyone of them was answered. These guys do an excellent job!
