It went well. They were prompt, quick, reliable, efficient, and professional.

I called early this morning and spoke to Jay who understood the problem and scheduled an appointment for me for later in the day, between 2:00 and 4:00 pm. Midday, the office called to see if I could accommodate an earlier appointment, between 1:15 and 1:30 pm, as the crew was finishing up a job sooner than expected. I agreed and the crew rang my doorbell at 1:30. (So far I count 4 interactions that place this company in an "Excellent" category.) David and Randy quickly diagnosed the problem (a leak in the hot water line where the galvanized pipe met copper), cut out the leak and replaced it with new pipe and fittings. Within an hour the work was done efficiently, neatly, and by two extremely nice and professional guys who explained each step of the repair to me. Up to now, I've been using a company that typically sends workers who spend too much time telling me how difficult the job is, who spend A LOT of time in their vans, who leave the site a mess, and who too frequently have to come back a second time to complete the work. The next time I need a plumber, I will definitely call Stang Plumbing and I recommend them highly. With regard to their price, Stang's hourly fee is higher than I'm used to spending, but not unreasonable given the quality of their work.

Couldn't have been happier with the service. The office staff was friendly and helpful. For personal reasons, it was necessary to reschedule the work three times. There were no problems with the rescheduling and every time I called, someone answered the phone immediately. They called 15 minutes before the plumber arrived (exactly at the time scheduled) to let me know he was on his way. The work was performed professionally, and completely to our satisfaction. The plumber also spent time explaining the warrantee for the spigot and instructions for its use. We were very pleased and will use them again for all our plumbing needs.

They were able to come the same day I called to assist with my hot water heater and bathroom faucet. They arrived on time and were very professional throughout. They quickly diagnosed the problems and clearly explained all the issues to me. I asked a lot of questions and they were very patient in explaining the problems and potential solutions. Very efficient, professional, and knowledgeable. Will definitely hire again when needing plumbing help.

There was one man that came to do the job. He did a great job; he fixed the leak. He also told me some things that I needed to fix in the upcoming future which I also appreciated.

We noticed the water all over the guestroom and the dripping water from the light fixture on a Sunday evening. I checked Angie's List for recommendations for local plumbers, for best comments, best price and for coupons and decided on Stang Plumbing. Since it was a weekend night, there was a message that said to leave a message and they would call within half an hour. In ten minutes a scheduling person called me back to take detailed information on the leak and tell me a technician would call me to schedule our appointment, again within half an hour. In five minutes a technician called to schedule an appointment and hear about the exact situation. He described their weekend service rates as $350 for the visit and the first hour, $250 for each hour after that; he knew about Angie's List and the coupon and said that would be part of the final bill. He arranged to be at our house in about half an hour and the reason for even that wait was that he described to us what we could do in advance of his arrival to have everything ready so that our time with him, chargeable time, would be minimized! Just to emphasize, it is now 15 minutes since I called the plumber. We have directions to move all the furniture from the area, cut through the ceiling drywall along the pipe, clear out the area around the faucet outside, clear out the area around the inside cutoff valve (for the outside), turn off the electricity to the guest room, get any strong lanterns we have for lighting the room, and remove any extraneous/decorative parts of the lighting fixtures. He is on the way and by the time we're finished he should be here to work on the pipe, without needing to help/wait for all this. I don't know if they started this policy through customer service or self-preservation, but how wonderful to have clear directions to follow and help save their time and our money. The technician arrived, diagnosed that there were two breaks in the pipe and that the indoor cutoff valve was old and leaking. He said he would need to seal the pipe, replace the valve and put more insulation around the pipe to keep any small, remaining amount of water from freeze/thaw, which would cause problems before warm weather when we could schedule a full appointment to fix the whole thing. While he started working, he gave my husband a list of things to go buy from Home Depot, e.g., the exact valve name and insulation. Again, he was trying to save us money by not having general, available parts coming (probably at a premium) from his service van. He patched the pipe, my husband returned with the valve and insulation, then he replaced the valve while my husband packed insulation around the repaired pipe. The bill was for the appointment/first hour plus a bit of a second hour. The price appears to be a little higher than the Angie's List advertised price for some of the local plumbers, but it was absolutely worth it. We got excellent, fast, personable service on a Sunday night and he gave us information on how we could save some money by helping out.

This was my first time using Stang Plumbing and Heating, Yesterday, late in the day I left a message with their answering service. A representative called me back first thing this morning and they were able to schedule me in for 10:00 A.M. Luis, the technician arrived right on time. Work was completed promptly. Everyone I dealt with was extremely helpful and professional.

Service went well. Technician was on time. Described the drawbacks of low flow toilets.Explained alternatives if clogging persists.

Have used this plumber before for a water heater repair, I find them to be highly professional and courteous. Scheduled quickly and efficiently. Upon arrival, plumber took time to listen to the problem and explain the issues, did not try to up-sell on labor or materials. In fact, for this problem the plumber advised it was simply a matter of keeping drains wet in unused sinks and bathtubs. I believe that their prices rate higher than competitors, but I believe it is reflected in the quality of service.

During the first trip, the technician was not able to diagnose the problem. We knew that the water line was frozen, but did not know where. He ran out of time before the job could be finished, so they charged us for another trip, which basically doubled our costs. After the technician left, we were able to figure out the exact location of the frozen and damaged section of the water line which enabled the technician to replace it on his second trip. Although they were very willing to fit us into their schedule for the second trip, he should have been able to diagnose and finish the job in one trip. It also seemed that we were significantly overcharged for parts.

It went great. The job took about two hours. There was nothing that I disliked. They did a great job. He came in and worked. I would use them again. They were here right on time. They were very professional.

I have hot water! Called them on the coldest week of the year, maybe the decade. A tech called me back in ten min and we convinced each other that the water heater was dead. They came at noon the next day, amidst a million frozen pipe calls and installed a new unit. They only use one brand, it was just a question of gallons. I then had warm but not HOT water. I called, a tech came by at my convenience, and elevated the temp. No charge.

Two employees arrived to clear a blocked drain. They spent a large part of the day trying to do so with no success. Finally one of them called his supervisor and explained the situation. The supervisor told him he was using the wrong equipment and told him how to clear the drain. He did as the supervisor suggested and the drain was clear within 15 minutes. We were billed for two employees for the whole day who, had they had a clue what they were doing, could have done the job in well under an hour. These two also told us that we would need to have pipes to the street replaced or cleared of roots or we would have the same problem within a year. Now, 3 years later - drain works fine. We were charged over $1,000 to clear a drain which could have been done by a knowledgeable plumber in a tiny fraction of the time and a fraction of the money.

We arrived home Saturday evening (after snowing all day Saturday) to a burst pipe in our kitchen flooding our garage. I called 10+ plumbers on Saturday evening to see if someone could do the repair on Sunday and was only able to get a hold of Stand Plumbers and one other provider. David from Stang Plumbers put me on the list for Sunday. He called around 1:30 pm and was able to identify the burst pipe, do the repair and make recommendations for repairing the drywall in our ceiling in just over an hour. Would definitely recommend again!

Stang Plumbing was great - helped us quickly resolve an emergency situation, and taught us what we could do long term to prevent serious damage. Very nice people too, would call them first for any repairs, predictable or emergency.

They did the job in about an hour. They gave me the discount that I had bargained for and the work was done perfectly. I liked them well enough that I have called them back for other work to replace another valve.

It was fine. They guy was great, nice, honest and straight forward. He took care of it.

Scheduling was fine and they were punctual to the appointment. They completed the job within an hour. Everything worked out fine.

He explained what was wrong and fixed them quickly and was very courteous. Would definitely recommend and use them again for future plumbing needs!

I cannot remember if this was in the original offer but I guess the onus was on me to have supplies on hand. I needed my kitchen faucet replaced but they didn't have my type... single handle -vs dual. Thus, they could do nothing for me on that visit so I had to make a second call which cost me more than I had hoped and paid for. I went to home depot and bought the faucet myself for their next visit. Fortunately, they allowed me to extend the call instead of paying full price for a second visit. On the first visit, the tech was at least kind enough to try to help with other minor plumbing issues since he could not help on the faucet. Only advice I could give is to make sure you know what they have in stock and that they know what your needs are BEFORE they arrive. You'll save yourself some aggravation. Silver lining is that they were EXTREMELY professional both in skill and courtesy.

Went well. I was actually unable to talk with as I was bedridden but they worked well with my ex- husband in figuring out problem and fixing it quickly.
