Three women came to our house as scheduled, they were on time and brought all needed supplies. They did a thorough job, about what I was expecting. Didn't go out of their way to do extras, but did clean the microwave, stovetop, mopped our wood floors and did a good job on the bathroom. I'd consider having them again even though we don't have our house professionally cleaned very often.

It went fine. I was hoping for more of a deep clean but they said they could do that when they came back. I would have preferred an emphasis on the deep cleaning as the advertisement suggested.

The cleaners arrived on time did a somewhat thorough cleaning. They actually needed more time.

Confirmed morning of appointment arrival time and gave cell number for team to call if running late. Main company number voicemail was full (when I called to see if coming) Team didn't call and arrived two hours late. Whenteam arrived they didn't look over area to better manage time. Ended up short on time with half house left to clean. Area they cleaned first 2/3 of time was well done. Rest of house had floors not mopped, surfaces not well dusted nor wiped down. Asked for sponges and paper towels to clean kitchen. Used owners tile cleaner to clean bathroom. Was very disappointed given the owner was so accommodating and pleasant on phone.

Provider confirmed the night before and arrived on time. They clearned thoroughly, quickly and professionally at a great price. Can't beat that!

We worked with Sky Maids about 7 months. For approximately 6 of those months, we used them weekly (then dropped down to biweekly the remaining month). They were pretty good for the most part. Some days they were spectacular, some days they were mediocre. Quality suffered a little when the owner wasn't present. Overall I would give them a B-. We have dogs and cats, so our house has its fill of dirt and hair. I made it clear when the owner did the walk through that the biggest reason I was hiring them was to help with the downstairs and the dog room. They require you supply the trash bags, paper towels, and magic erasers (to wipe the floor board/walls with since they said their cleaner would damage the walls). I also required the same team be there each week so we could have that consistency. I'm not here to nitpick everything they did wrong, so I'm only going to share a few of the major concerns I had over how Sky Maids operates that I'd want to warn other buyers of (keep in mind we had a recurring service, not just a one-time Angie's List deal): 1) They handed us a paper when they did the initial walk-through and said they do all those items. It led me to believe that they were going to do those items each time (they made it clear cleaning the fridge was extra, as well as a few other things on that paper). However, that is not what they ended up doing. For example, they almost never checked for cobwebs on curtains/corners of the ceiling even after pointing it out to them about 4 times in person/over text. Our house is all hardwood and tile with a few smaller area rugs that are easy to maneuver. They never moved the rugs/dog crates to mop the tile underneath. Often mud was right around both. The almost never moved anything (except the couches every other time) to clean under it. 2) After about a month and a half of cleaning, the owner showed up with a poorly-written contract (one that had other people's name and address on it in addition to my name, and the frequency of cleanings contradicted throughout). This owner promised that the contract was to protect me, the consumer, if something were to break inside the house when they were cleaning. But after reading it thoroughly, it was extremely skewed in Sky Maids' favor. One of the biggest issues I had was a statement saying I couldn't cancel without agreeing to giving them another 4ish cleanings. It also stated that they charge you the equivalent of one cleaning in November each year for cleaning supplies. None of this was originally mentioned during the walk-through or the first month of service. I never signed the contract because after several attempts to negotiate and get a copy of it so I can make the requested edits, the owner gave up and stopped requesting I sign it. 3) We had an agreed upon time during the weekly service. Sometimes they would come a little early, sometimes a little late. I forgave that because I had a flexible morning (they had never talked about a cleaning window with us, like others have mentioned in their reviews). But there were a few mornings I had early meetings and had to go into work by a certain time. I contacted Sky Maids days in advance to ensure that they were going to be there promptly so I could get to work on time. The owner said he would, but they showed up over 45 minutes late. I had to kick them out of the house early (without any reimbursement) to make my meeting. I was pretty furious they didn't try to contact me saying they'd be late. When they did get there, I told the owner we had texted him a set time because I had to go into work, and he apologized and stated they had car trouble. I forgave him, but I told him next time they were going to be late, they should call as soon as they know they're going to be late, ESPECIALLY when we confirm the time with him in advance. He agreed to do so. THAT SAME MONTH, he did the same thing again. They had car trouble and did not communicated like he promised. After texting him, he called back later and and apologized profusely, but we canceled their services due to lack of respect for our time and inability to communicate properly. After texting him that we're canceling, he never called or texted back trying to save the relationship.

Excellent service, hard working. Better clear your house before so that they don't waste time tidying away stuff before cleaning. Good to be there to make sure they clean under sofas etc, but we are super picky. Use them regularly now as they are flexible with our busy schedule and do such a good job.

Awful. I could barely tell they had been at the house. We'd recently moved in - I provided a pretty detailed list of what I wanted done. I know they did not do what was asked. Came in and started making beds - I never asked for that and even the way they made bed was substandard - really just pulled up covers. Here's example of how poorly they performed: I could tell they cleaned the shower door because they left corners dirty so just circled around most of glass surface. I asked refrig to be cleaned out and all cabinets none of that was done as far as o could tell. oh yeh they did vaccum runner down steps but left exposed wood step dusty. I will never use this company again.

Lauro Leonardo the co owner came by to give an estimate that day. After getting a tour of the house, he informed me that he would need one day to give me the price. Since I had not heard form him after 2 business days, I called him on his cell phone the 3rd day and he informed me that he was with a customer and would call back in 5 minutes but when he answered the phone, sounded genuinely upset at hearing my voice and got off the phone very quickly. Mr. Leonardo never contacted me again. They must make too much money and don't need my business. Since then, using Angie's list, I found a high quality/well priced maid service. And they are happy to take my hard earned dollars. My father was with me and I did not make a mistake I spoke to Lauro Leonardo and I am not a liar. This is who I spoke with in person. The house was built in 67 in potomac maryland

They called me less than a couple of hours before starting the cleaning to inform me they could not do the work because they were unable to charge my credit card (I gave them my credit card information two days before). I do not know why they were unable to charge my credit card, but I explained that I would pay them in cash upon arrival (before starting the job). They refused, and told me that they only accept credit cards. It is difficult not to become suspicious about their unwillingness to show up to do the work without providing another credit card (and not willing to accept cash before actually starting the work).

It went really well. Good communication, quality service.

Our home has never had such an in-depth and thorough cleaning. They washed the inside of windows and glass doors, wiped down the baseboards, cleaned inside and out of the microwave, oven, refrigerator and other appliances. They moved rugs (that were easy to move) and small pieces of furniture to clean and mop underneath (everything was put back exactly). They were friendly, prompt and professional.

Team showed up on time and did a great job, down to last detail (like folding toilet paper and towels), everything is very efficient - work very quickly and with high quality. Leticia (co-owner) is very responsive through email.

They were about 15 minutes late, but not more than that. The cleaning that they were able to do was good and thorough. I would have expected that three cleaners could clean one level of a house in 1 hour and 20 minutes, but they didn't. A little disappointing, but a good cleaning in the areas that they were able to get.

They arrived early and did an amazing job, all I had to do was stay out of the way. They had all their own supplies and were done quickly.

They did excellent work. They would show up on time and were courteous. They got the job done, in a clean and thorough manner. I will use their services again.

This was really hard to schedule. The scheduler took days to respond. Cleaning times were given as a window of several hours as to when the team would show up, a technique borrowed from the cable company that I think is a bad business practice. Team of 3 was very nice and efficient. Cleaning was very good but not above and beyond. The owner had said the team would clean baseboards and other little extras- I didn't see any evidence of this happening. I think the team wanted to get it done and get out. I paid $99 as an Angie's List deal and was offered a biweekly recurring price of $120. I don't see this as a good deal when I can find another company to do it for $80.
