Description of Work: Measurements taken & explanations given for the project of replacing an exterior door. replacement windows
 + -1 moreThe work was finished within 6-8 weeks, as promised. When Mr. Lukacs inspected the finished work, he was not satisfied with the interior trim around one window (the edges didn't fit closely enough to satisfy him); so he ordered that it be re-done, which it promptly was. Our confidence in him was well justified. The windows look great. We've also noticed that the house retains heat and cooling better than before, and our electric bills are actually lower than they were five years earlier. It's been two and a half years since the work was done, and we have had no complaints.
Description of Work: We got estimates from 3 companies to provide and install 15 wood replacement windows with aluminum exteriors. Ten were casement windows and the rest were double-hung. Some of the new windows would require staining of the interior wood, to match our cedar paneled walls. Peter Lukacs (Rockville Window and door) was hands-down more experienced and professional than the other people who had provided estimates. He even suggested a less expensive kind of window (double-hung as opposed to canopy) than what we originally had in mind for the bathrooms and explained why it would be a better choice. That reduced the cost and won our trust. His overall estimate was significantly less than the two previous estimates we'd received. Going with Mr. Lukacs was a no-brainer and we've had no regrets.

 + 0 moreIn the end I went with another company for replacement windows, but Rockville Window and Door are worth a look if you are in the market.
Description of Work: I was shopping for replacement windows and gave Rockville Window and Door Company a call. I requested Peter Lukacs for an estimate. He was great. He came out the house. He was very professional, answered all of my questions. I really liked him. I asked him for an estimate on 9 double hung windows, a garden window, 2 picture windows, an entry door and storm door. He sent me back an estimate via email which I appreciated. I thought the estimate was reasonable, I just never made it to the show room.
