Alex contacted me with a very poorly written email about photos of the water heater and the location for the install. I supplied the photos and on the morning of the install he called to ask if I had the valve kit. I did not know what he was asking for so after some discussion he said he could go to Home Depot and get the required part. Once he arrived and started draining the old water heater and preparing for the installation, he read the manual for the new water heater and realized that I needed additional circuit breakers for the new unit. As it turns out, he should have known this as a tankless water heater requires much more electrical capacity than a water tank. He then said he did not have any parts in his truck and it was my fault for not telling him what he needed. I replied that I am not a plumber and did not know what he needed, but that he should have either known or called and asked for more information if that is what he needed. (A subsequent installer did ask the correct questions and I was able to answer them for him). Alex left and said he could not install the water heater until next week once he got the correct parts, Since I have NO hot water I told him that this is unacceptable and don't bother returning. I am working with Amazon to have him removed from their service and also to get a refund for the service (which is about twice the price of finding a qualified plumber through Thumbtack.com. Do not hire this company!
