They were very responsive. They scheduled appointment for same day we called which was important since our furnace didn't work and it was winter. They performed the repair that day. We then had them install an air purifier and reconfigure the box for the furnace filter. That was scheduled for a week or 2 later as there was no rush for that. What I was impressed with was how willing they were to discuss the issues we had with doing this work. They explained everything to my wife. I had some follow-up questions and when I called they were happy to explain everything to me as well. The repairman who did all the work for us was very professional and friendly. I think their prices are competitive but not cheap, but I am willing to pay a little more to get the kind of service they gave us.

Presidential Heating helped us when our boiler began to fail and was not providing adequate heat for the house. Their technician accurately diagnosed the problem, finding that we had a boiler with a peculiar design such that it could not be routinely cleaned, and over the years debris had built up internally. My phone call to the manufacturer confirmed that our unit had ineed been known to have this difficulty. The staff at Presidential were always easy to reach, pleasant to deal with, and gave us an estimate quickly. They even dealt with the manufacturer of our faulty unit to get us some rebate money. The technicians who installed the new unit were very pleasant to have around and cleaned up any mess. They did a beautiful job. Also they made efforts to install our new unit very quickly, which we really appreciated. Haaving to get a new boiler is really never a fun thing to do, but the experience was at least quick and very professional with this company.

The furnace at my parents house stopped working in the middle of the night. I called and got an operator who took my information. The technician called me back in 30 min. He seemed to be somewhat put off and told me he would be there at 9 am (it was 6:30 am when we spoke). He arrived around 10 am. He managed to get the system back on and informed me that we needed a new heat pump. I was aware of this and asked him for a quote. He called the office and put me in touch with his manager. The manager informed me that he would have to come over (seemed odd since the technician was at my house). He said he would call me back in the afternoon to make an appointment. The technician who visited informed me that I would be looking at a price range from $7000 to $10,000. The sales manager never called me back to provide me with a quote for a new heat pump. I went the Gaitherburg lowes that morning, spoke to a lady at customer service who sent a someone over that very day to provide me with a quote for the heatpump. The home depot quote was $4,500. Home depot came and installed the unit the next day. Everything is running well. I was promised a reciept to be sent by email. I have still not got that reciept.

The representative came out and let us know what our options were and what the cost would be. We chose the middle option with a humidifier. The representative didnot immediately get back to us do to a family problem, but did as a result, set us up with the top model at no extra costs!! The workers were prompt and completely cleaned up the area and old furnace. The workers were also very nice and set up the new thermastat and explained how to set it up and offered to answer any and all questions.

My heat was not circulating throughout the house. I called Presidential to see what was wrong with my unit. Gina was very friendly on the phone and even found a service man that could come that day versus coming on Saturday and incurring an additional service charge. When the service man came to the house, I took him downstairs to the unit. He asked me to turn the heat up to 80 degrees so he could see the temperature. He put a thermometer in a crack in the unit and said that nothing was wrong with the unit. He said that I needed dampers to close the heat off in certain parts of the house. He then criticized the people who had previously serviced the unit. He talked for a while and then finally decided to open the unit and check the filters and blower (stating that he didn't want to do this). He recommended cleaning the blower and filters and installing two dampers that would cost approximately $800 with a contract. He discussed buying a contract from the company (which would save me money) and installing individual heating/cooling units in each of the bedrooms upstairs. Don't get me wrong he was a very nice man, prompt, courteous and very respectful. I called another company who came out and looked at my actual heat pump in the backyard and showed me where pipes and wires were not secured to the unit. They fixed those and now I can once again feel heat in my house! Presidential put a thermometer in the unit downstairs and called it a day. Sorry I won't use them again.

Bought a winter furnace inspection. Quick scheduling, they were on time, and presented me with electronic copies of my invoice and recommended repair when done. I got a good verbal explanation of the system, but would have liked a demonstration of such things I asked about as how to change the filter (because he had such a hard time getting the old one out, himself), or what it means to have a "dirty blower". But overall, a pleasant experience, and I will likely hire them again.

The technician from the company arrived before he was expected. He asked to see the units which were located in the back of the house. In less than 15 minutes he was able to determine the cause of the problem. Once he was given approval to proceed, he finished the job in 20 to 30 minutes! It was amazing! He gave me an overview of what caused the problem and a recommendation for how to prevent it. I have never been happier with a company than I was with Presidential!

Turned out, I didn't really need service; the central plant had shut down, causing the heat pump to malfunction. All that was really needed was powering off and powering on. But the guy was really nice and professional and only charged me what he had to for his trip out, which I thought was fair.

Presidential had a technician at my house just after noon time. He performed a thorough evaluation on the heating system and determined that a main control board was not functioning properly. The circuit board that had gone bad had been replaced almost a year ago, so it was still under warranty. The office sent someone to deliver the replacement board so the technician did not have to leave my house. The part was delivered in less than an hour. The technician installed the board, tested the system, and finished checking all components of the heating system. The part was a warranty replacement so a $400 part cost me $0, and the service call was covered as part of the service contract I maintain with the company so the cost to me was $0. The responsiveness, quality of work, and professionalism of Presidential makes them a company that you can depend on for expert care of two of your homes most important systems. As demonstrated by my experience with their Service Contract Plan, their plans offer an excellent value to help protect your systems and keep you comfortable in your home.

Though they submitted a competitive quote their lack of response on follow up inquiries eliminated them from consideration for performing the work.

Work was performed on time and finished ahead of schedule. Neat, pleasant and cooperative installers.

They did a fine job, were prompt, came on time, and explained everything. I now use them 2 a year for check ups.

The person arrived was very pushy and trying to sell me a new system instead of giving me an honest opinion of the issue/solution. When I called another contractor, they quickly came in and fixed the pilot issue for me. Thanks

Everything went perfect and I would definately use them again

We needed a new furnace. The representative came out and spent a great deal of time with us and educated us on a lot of things regarding the vents and the way the furnace worked. We were very happy about what we learned. He made some suggestions about the type of furnace that we needed. We asked for a written estimate. The representative said he would email it to us. We never received the email. A week later I called the main office and told the receptionist that we wanted to get the estimate and that the representative never emailed us. She said she would call him and get back to us. She did get back to us and said the representative would call us. He never did. We won't recommend this company and we are surprised at the lack of response.

All work was performed in a timely and professional manner. We will use this service again and again. We also have recommended this service company to others.

I wish I had paid attention to the review of Presidential's services that was posted on August 6, 2012! My experience with them was almost identical - a delightful representative arrived, on time (hence the C rating for punctuality), to assess the work needed to replace an old oil furnace in my home. Ten days after his visit I emailed him asking for an update on when I would receive the fee proposal (no response). Two weeks after his visit I called and left a message on his voicemail (no response). The following day I called Presidential and left a message with the receptionist, who assured me it would be passed on to the sales representative (no response). Two days after that I spoke to her again, and last Friday she put me through to the representative, who assured me that I would receive the proposal by close of business that day. I did not. I emailed him and called his cellphone over the weekend, asking for an update (no response to either my email or my phone call, naturally), and today, 20 days after the sales rep's visit, I abandoned all hope of receiving anything from them. What a waste of time!

George from Presidential came at the end of January to give us an estimate for replacing our furnace and water heater. We had decided to go with a direct vent for both since the liner in our chimney was in very poor condition and it would cost about $2,000 to replace it. The furnace was over 20 years old and reaching the end of its life span and was in need of repair. We knew we wanted Presidential to do the work based on our past experience with the company. George did not disappoint us. He is not a high pressure salesman. He gave us three options for the furnace and two options for the water heater. We also got a price for a humidifier for the furnace and an upgraded air filter. He answered all our questions and even spoke to my husband a couple times by phone while we were in the decision making stage. He told us that our existing furnace was actually oversized for our home. He recommemded the installation of a low air return to help improve air circulation on our lower level. The work was done in March. Mike and Ciro were sent to do the installation. They were hard workers. They had some heavy plastic that they used to protect our floor and rug. It took two days to complete the work which the time frame we were given. Since I only got the one estimate i have nothing with which to compare the cost. I can say husband and I are very happy with the work that was done. We got a high efficiency furnace and water heater. We also had the humidifier and air return installed and have the upgraded air filter. The entire job entailed a great amount of work. Most of all we feel that Presidential does quality work. We highly recommend this company.

Chris was the technician that completed the service check. We are on a contract with Presidential. Chris recommended that the condenser coil be cleaned since it was dirty and that could be the reason temperatures were running high. I told him to do the cleaning. When he rechecked the temps after the cleaning they were better.

The first technician took a lot of care to check, explain everything and find the problem. The guy who installed the new coil was also excellent.

We were very pleased with the check up. The technician did a very thorough inspection and made some adjustments. There were no additional charges. The price and the quality were good.

Serviceman arrived on time and provided a thorough check of the AC system. He found an obstruction that was degrading the AC performance; he very professionally recommended that we follow up on fixing it, but never gave us a sales pitch or pressured us to spend more money. Overall, we were very satisfied.
