Presidential Heating & Air Conditioning

We called Presidential for a second opinion when we'd been quoted an outrageous price to fix our boiler. They gave us a temporary repair to keep us warm, and when they came back to finish the job, they were very thorough in bleeding the radiators and restoring heat to a room that wasn't heating at all. They were extremely pleasant to deal with. I trust them, and they are our new go-to plumber.

The technician was punctual, professional, and kept me involved in the whole process. I was worried that being a pregnant woman "things might need fixing" since my husband wasn't there, but he was very thorough and explained everything to me. I paid an extra $50 for the damper and return vent fixes because he was there longer than planned. I loved that he wore shoe covers whenever inside the house. He was friendly to my animals and very pleasant to work with.

Earlier in Feb, our upstairs/downstairs HVAC with 2 controls conked out during our latest cold snap. Not only did they arrange to come THE SAME DAY, but they were on time, courteous, and very efficient. Technician Tommy Gray diagnosed the problem, called for the parts and had it all fixed and working within 2 hrs. The bill, including labor and parts was just over $800, a real deal in my book, considering what it was. Presidential has always performed just as stellar on another property I had. Today, our other HVAC wasn't working, and Mr. Gray once again saved the day, with a quick diagnostic and fix, with minimal cost. I recommend them heartily.

I thought it was a rip off. It said 79.95. We have 2 HVAC's so they charged us double. I complained about it as well to the company.

We have a 13-year-old humidifier built onto the furnace. My husband had cleaned and replaced the filter for the humidifier, but could not get it to turn back on. We figured it had come to the end of its useful life, and were dreading having to replace it or make an expensive repair. First of all, this company gets extra points for keeping this appointment, because they called the day before to say the Guy they had assigned to us was out sick, and wanted to know if they could come a day EARLY instead, which worked fine for us. So we were generally discussing the likelihood that a 13-year-old April air humidifier would need a replaced motherboard, motor, or new humidifier altogether. But when he actually took a look at it, he reported back that my husband had not closed the case up tightly enough, and therefore the wires had not made a proper connection. He demonstrated how to do this properly, and did not give us any song and dance about anything costing more than the charge for a service call. Total honesty and professionalism ? you can be sure we will be calling them back in the future! We also decided to get a service agreement with them. Their workers are excellent, and their dispatcher is a gem.

I have a maintenance contract for my heating/AC system with Presidential, and I am fully satisfied with the services they have provided so far. Little caveat on punctuality since they had once let me wait for hours and ultimately reschedule since the appointment before mine had taken much longer than expected.

It was good. There were no additional charges beyond the big deal amount. They were punctual and professional.

All interactions with Presidential have been professional, courteous and efficient. Replacment team arrived on time and worked in professional, efficient, and clean manner while also responding to my questions and giving me quidance on using the system going forward. The install looks squared away and professionally executed and the new system is wonderful. I have done a decent amount of research on replacement and have read from several non-vendor sources that the quality of the install an important factor to the quality and logevity of the heat pump. Based on my experience with them, I am confident I made the right choice is choosing Presidential for this job.

We used the service several times. First was when our AC was leaking and they did a good job fixing it. Then we signed a service contract to get labor discount and peace of mind. They came twice to inspect and twice the found issues with our system. This is not impossible since our unit is more than 10 years old. The first couple visits went fine but the last one was what ultimately why we didn't continue the service contract. I think the person who was assigned to the task didn't do a great job. He dropped his tool inside the furnace then spilled glue on my carpet. He wanted to clean the carpet and asked for napkins. I told him to just cut the carpet. It was extra carpet that we put on the unfinished part of our basement. I had requested to have another technician to do the work during the time when the part was ordered. But I was told that the guy I got was a senior tech.

they were really friendly, it was my first time living in a house with AC so he explained how the system worked, recommended services and was great and patient.

Technician was prompt and courteous. He provided a detailed quote within a couple days. He responded to my questions and did not pressure me into using this company for the replacement.

My AC unit stopped working on Labor Day evening. Checked Angie's List for the most reliable HVAC company that I could get.....and did I ever hit the jackpot! Presidential Heating and Air Conditioning is all that I could have hoped for and more.The customer contact person that answered the phone first thing Tuesday morning was helpful in answering my questions. She was very friendly, courteous, and professional. She gave me a 3 hour window of between 1:00 and 4:00 as to when the technician would be at my home, but said that she will call to let me know when they are on the way. As promised, I received a phone call shortly before 2:00 stating that they were on the way and gave an approximate time when they would arrive. Chris (technician) arrived promptly as promised. Introduced himself, gave me a business card and an information brochure. He asked questions to get an overview as to the problem that I was having and then proceeded to check the outside compressor and checked the readings. Chris then came inside to check the actual unit. He noticed right away that the red light was on, on the hockey and that the moisture had tripped the unit off. It was then determined that the drain hose was blocked and he proceeded to clean the hose, dried the hockey, and reset the unit. The AC unit is now working great! Aside from the actual work on the AC unit, Chris took the time to answer my many questions and to explain the unit, pro-active maintenance, and explained the service plan that they have. At no time did I feel pressured to buy anything that I didn't want. I fully trust Presidential to give an honest quote for services and not to take advantage of the consumer by giving false diagnostic results causing unnecessary fees. I will call Presidential Heating & Air Conditioning for all my service/maintenance needs. I will also request Chris, as he exemplifies professionalism and knowledge of the business and takes pride in a job well done. Thank You!!

They are terrific. They are prompt and professional. They don’t try to up sell or sell anything that is not necessary. They let me know what is wrong and give an honest feedback on what is needed to get it right.

The company did not return any of my phone calls. I called them twice to schedule service

I got a brand new electronic ignition furnace and brand new air conditioner with a SEER 13 rating. WSSC and Montgomery County came out and both the furnace and AC passed both inspections with flying colors.

Presidential sent someone to do an evaluation the day after I called. I wasn't at all surprised that it was time for my old system to be replaced -- he told me the options including repairing and refilling the existing system, but it really made no sense to do that. They provided a proposal the next day, providing 4 options of varying costs and gave me good advice (did not try to sell me the most expensive system, which would not have made sense for my small house!). The installation team came a few days later and was great -- cheerful and courteous and professional, and not even complaining about the heat and difficulty of working in my cramped attic, filled with blown-in insullation which made getting around very hard. The job had to be put on hold for a little while because of an asbestos scare. Since the weather was getting qutie hot, they kindly provided a couple of window units at no cost for the interim. After the environmental lab came and confirmed there was no asbestos in the attic they finished the job as soon as they could get me back on the schedule a few days later, and I'm very happy with the result. The crew even voluntarily did a few little extra repairs along the way (such as repairing the latch on trap door leading to my attic and replacing the intake screen with a nicer one). I really appreciated how they put down cloths everywhere to avoid dirtying my floors, and were very careful not to let my pets out. They came back a week later just to check that everything was working properly, made a few adjustments. They clearly cared a lot about doing the job right and maknig sure I was happy. I will definitely recommend Presidential to friends.

Very well. The AC was broken on a very hot day. They cam on a Saturday and finished the job on Sunday. They ordered a new fan motor and will replaced it this week.

They are always polite and prompt. If you have a problem, they take care of it right away. A great value for the money.

They diagnosed a lot of things that probably aren't wrong with the heating system. Said one thing that was like a $1200 part was defective and if it doesn't work, your system wouldn't work. The system has worked a year without it. I suspect that they over-diagnosed and padded what was wrong. I'd say be very cautious because they're probably going to over estimate what needs to be done for the sake of selling you services you might not need. This is the first time I'd used this provider. They came when they were supposed to.

this was fantastic! In March, 2013, Wayne Shenk came with a colleague to make an estimate on a replacement HVAC system. They were thorough, efficient, polite, and professional. When I explained that I was in negotiations with my credit union for financing, they were completely accommodating - no pressure. There was a question about whether a chimney liner would be required and they managed the negotiations with the county. Removal of the old equipment and installation of the new was done with care to the newly installed floor. The area was spotless when they finished. They also needed to do some creative modifications to the ductwork (this house was built in 1954) and they did so at NO additional charge. They made all the arrangements for required permits and rebates from the utility company and the tax credit from the IRS. The system works beautifully - heating and cooling. Extraordinary professional and personal service!

Good experience - done on time with great efficiency. I have been dealing with their company for over 20 years.

They did a good job. They advised us what we needed to do to fix the issue we were having and we did it. He did it the same day. It wasn't a big deal.
