Was not happy with the quote as some of the specifications on the replacement quote, were contradicted by the sales person who followed up the diagnostic check up

I called first thing Monday morning and they were able to give me an appointment that same afternoon. They called me a short time later that morning and let me know that the technician could come 2 hours earlier! He was knowledgeable and efficient. The staff on the phone were very friendly, too.

The technician determined what was wrong with the AC and fortunately it was a simple fix. Punctual, professional, and thorough.

It went great, very happy with service. They were very professional, punctual and overall helpful, so much so that I signed up for a service plan and hired them to do more work. Later this month, they will be installing a new duct supply line in my basement as well as a better filtration system for my main HVAC unit. I would definitely recommend them. Gena in the office is especially helpful and both Gary and Arron (who will be coming back to do more work) were also great.

Our AC went out with the first warm day of the season. Our regular HVAC firm could not get out to look at it for almost 3 weeks. The service writer wrote it up as a "spring special", not an in-op unit. The first tech to show up could not access our very tight attic space. Not his fault, he is a big man and our attic and access hatch is tiny. Very tiny. He made arrangements for a smaller tech to come out 2 days later, and due to a scheduling error, a third appointment had to be made. The smaller tech was also under the false impression that this was a routine check-up. When he found out what was required, he balked, made excuses, and said the office would have to call me on Monday to discuss. Basically, I burned 2 vacation days and half a Saturday before anyone even put their head up into my attic. In exasperation, I researched Angie's list and found a local contractor with good reviews; Presidential. one phone call, and they had the on-call tech give me a call. Craig Sabol arrived the same day. While he was able to get into the attic space, the day's high temperatures made the tight space dangerous for prolonged work. Craig said he would come back first thing the next morning (Sunday) to give it another shot. And he did. Diagnoses and repair (ultimately, replaced a transformer on the fan coil unit) required multiple ventures into the attic (this can only be achieved be wriggling in head first and performing all work while laying on your side). Never a complaint, just plugged forward until the problem was fixed. Needless to say, I will be using Presidential for all future HVAC needs.

The control board on our old furnace burned out and our home warranty company wouldn't pay for the repairs because of the age of the unit. Instead, they gave us some money to put towards a new furnace, so off we went searching for a company to put a new one in for us. Presidential was terrific from start to finish. Wayne came by to give us an estimate for the job and he was easily the most thorough estimator. He asked questions about what we needed, took all the necessary measurements, and identified a few more things that needed to be fixed as well like holes in the ducts going to our return box. He also checked on what rebates we would qualify for and worked all of that into an estimate that was clear and detailed about the work they would perform. He answered questions that we had without any hesitation, and things he did not know the answer for he checked on and got back to us about. After we decided to go with Presidential, Kathleen scheduled the job for us. She got us a date that worked for us, and then contacted us when an even earlier date opened up - we're glad she did because the next week temperatures rose and we needed our A/C working (the blower wouldn't work with the control board dead, so our A/C didn't work either)! She's very pleasant to deal with and was great with providing us all the documentation we were to received such as product registrations and permits. When I left my permits at home with information I needed to schedule the furnace inspection, I reached out via e-mail and within minutes she sent me the required information. The installation went perfectly. Our technicians were Mike and Andrew. They showed up when they said they would and got straight to work. When they noticed that we did not have a place to put our air filter for the new furnace (the old unit had a slot built in), they got in touch with someone to have a box built for the filter. The box is terrifically easy to use - open it up, pull out the old filter, slide the new one in. They put in the furnace, sealed up the holes in the ducts going to the return box, made all the necessary connections, replaced the condensate pump, installed carbon monoxide detectors and tested the system to made sure it worked. Everything worked as it should, and the area now looks even cleaner and better organized than before! Great work all around. We should note that their price was not the lowest we received (it was, in fact, about $1,000 higher than the lowest). However, given their professionalism and quality of the work they did, we think it was fair. We'll definitely go back to them for future HVAC needs, though we're hoping not to have any problems come up any time soon!

They have called several time to make an appointment. They have contacted me. I have not had it checked out by them because I just moved in to the country and I was busy with other things. I compared them them with two companies and they were in the middle. Their estimate came $4500 and the two other companies was no where near that price. They persistently called me to come out and check. I persistently put them off. I was extremely impressed. They were chasing me, not me chasing them.

I was very happy with them. They were very good. They were very nice and they came right out and they took care of everything. They did a good job. I hired them to do a spring tune up. He was a nice guy which is why I did it. They did what they were supposed to do and that’s all I really care about. They did the job within the day.

On Saturday our furnace stopped working. Our house was freezing. They talked us through a diagnostic and were able to figure out what was wrong. They did not have the part we needed but they told us what it was. We ordered it from Amazon which saved us having a visit to diagnose and a visit to fix the furnace. They put us on the list for Monday and stayed in touch to see if the part arrived in time. When it didn't they came out today and fixed it. The technician worked fast and explained everything very clearly.

What a company ? they saved us in an emergency situation and how they responded. We just purchased a house in NW Washington DC and wanted a service contracting for the heating and air system ? they came and did a heat check in January 2015 and found the humidifier housing need to be replaced, but otherwise all is ok. On arriving at the house on a cold, snowy winter day we found the house cold and the furnace not running ? contacted Presidential and they came within the hour in the middle ofa winter storm ? got the furnace started. During the night the furnace stopped running and the house was at 40deg. In the morning ? called Presidential and they came within 2 hours, diagnose the problem, but wanted a confirmation from another of their technician, came the next day and told us that the heat exchanger was the problem. For all these visits we were only charged once ? they worked with us for a new furnace installed it within 2 days, worked with the home warranty company, got a rebate and now we have heat in the house. I would recommend Presidential highly for their efficiency, responding to an emergency in a timely manner, their office working with us to get the discounts on the furnace and their very qualified technicians. Good job !!

They were thorough even though the heat pump self turned on 30 min before their arrival. Checked for any ongoing issues.

The tech was at my home for a half hour and it went well.

The service was good. The recommendations was probably the best thing, and the price was competitive. They gave me a $400 discount for being a member, and the furnace has been fabulous. They were on time, and did everything as they said they were going to, and answered all my questions.

It was good, they were professional, timely and I would recommend them for anyone that has HVAC systems.

Glen determined quickly what was needed. The two installers wasted no time and did an excellent job. All arrived on time. When we thought the heat pump wasn't working. Dave and his assistant returned quickly and pointed out our error.
