Have you ever been sent to collections for paying your bill the day of service? I am sure the answer is no, so read this review and NEVER use Service Experts/Parker Pearce. I called Service Experts/Parker Pearce earlier this month and asked how much was it to service two gas furnaces with respective AC units. I was told the cost would be $198.00 and I booked the service. The technician came out on 7/2/2020 and serviced both units. More about the service call later in this review. After he completed the job, I gave him a check in the amount of $198 and was given a paid receipt reflecting a zero balance. Then twenty days later, I received a letter from Transworld Collections trying to get paid on behalf of their clients, Service Experts/Parker Pearce. I find it very alarming this situation escalated from receiving a service on 7/2/2020 to collections by 7/23/2020 with NO communication on behalf of Service Experts/Parker Pearce. If they simply made an error on their part (which they did), it could have been cleared up with one phone call. I called Service Experts/Parker Pearce and asked to speak to their billing office upon receiving the transmittal. I finally got a call back telling me it was an error and I would be called back and provided something in writing. To date, that has NOT happened. Once again, this reflects their lack of customer service and obvious issues of communication and billing practices. Now, I want to move on to my comments about the actual service call and estimates for new units. In addition to being sent to collections for paying my bill the date of service, the service I received was below par. I had a duct that had fallen down in the attic and I was losing AC into the attic. However, Service Experts/ Parker Pierce that was paid to do the service, never even mentioned it. I had two other people that were here giving me an estimate for new units tell me. In fact, the last technician fixed it for me with 3 screws. I was also told by the service technician at Service Experts/Parker Pearce that I was low on Freon and the EPA would not allow Freon replacement if their was a leak. Finally, I requested an estimate for two new units, and the estimates besides being overpriced were a joke compared to their competitors. No model numbers, brands and information about the units, and the handwriting was terrible. Good luck reading it. They are also trying to get you to rent your furnace and ac units through the Advantage Program. Run away from that program! I took the time to write this lengthy review and share my experience. This company was bought out a few years ago and the quality must have gone with it. I would rate them an F on every level. Customer service, quality, presentation, value and knowledge. Please select another quality company for your HVAC needs. I ended up selecting GAC and Don Hoffacker’s was another high-quality company that I also considered.

The first technician who showed up to fix our broken heater told us some parts needed replacement but most likely we needed a brand new heater, even though it's only a couple years old. The second technician replaced the parts but was unsuccessful in fixing the heater. We paid a lot of money for nothing but they tried. That same night I noticed cockroaches all around the area the technician was working. I've never had a roach problem in this house. So we have no heat in the coldest part of winter and now there are cockroaches. We had to spend more money just to get rid of them. To make matters worse, a month later, I kept getting notices that I never paid. I have the receipts having paid the same day as each service visit. I called. They said not to worry and admitted it was a mistake on their part. Another month later, I get a Final Notice for collections. This is the most irresponsible, poorly managed, poorly skilled, dirty HVAC company I've ever encountered.

It was fine. They come right on time, did what supposed to do, and very competent to what they did, and make sure things are working.

I purchased the maintinance plan and it seemed as though once on that they just did not care. The people that came out were just ok. They kept telling me my blower was going to burn out soon. I hired another company and they came out and said the same thing but took out the blower and cleaned the whole thing which Parker never even brought the option up to me.

Horrible. They forgot me two times, I rushed home from my job and waited and waited for the technician who did not come. I called the company and was told the technician had a flat tire.... then he got stuck in the traffic.... Stupid excuses. I talked to the customer service manager who was not very polite but pretty defensive. To make it short: I did not renew my contract with that company anymore and I will not recommend this company .

I had been with Parker Pearce and Parker Pearce told me that a gas leak was my imagination. Parker Pierce was horrible. I been under contract with them for 10 years. We could've died. They weren't always perfect but they showed up quickly.

I have an contract with Parker Pearce, They do a good job. I don't know what an comfortable price is are. I have been with them for an number of years. That was eighteen years ago, and their price was good. They are good. They are very responsive. They are out seasonally for my contract. For the winter and summer. They should be coming out for the summer soon. It depends on the age of the furnace, and the furnace change. What is routine. The furnace filter changes, and what may be wrong. I can't put a price on the furnace. This is an eighteen year furnace. The contract we have an cost, and they do what is needed. I keep up my contract.

It happened three times that they forgot my appointement. I had taken off from work and was waiting at home. Calling them I was told the technician experienced a flat tire etc. And when he arrived the next day he arrived late. SInce two years I have not extended my yearly contract with them and I hired another company for the maintenance. I was a loyal client with them for 15 years, not anymore.

My heat blower went out during the worst snow storm of early 2016--I think it was February. I called the Parker Pearce number on the heating unit. thry asked for my address when I called and greeted me by the name of the former owner from service done 12 years earlier. So great record keeping. I got four estimate. Parker Pierce was the only one who provided a quote before the snow storm was over and the roads were passable--everyone else insisted on an on site visit even though I gave them all of the info they needed and none performed on site testing or measurements when they arrived. Parker Pearce called and apologized for not being able to get to my location, gathered info, and provided a quote over the phone. That was much appreciated as I was running out of wood for the fireplace and had a six year old son and wife running around wrapped in blankets. So, very responsive. When the others arrived, they gave me much higher quotes--the closest was $2K more for equivalent SERs on the a/c and rebate package. I gave the others the price I had been quoted. None could match it. Even an independent guy with little experience (friend of a friend) said he couldn't match the price. One laughed and said that the Parker Pierce quote was a mistake and good luck on getting them to honor it. I called Parker Pearce who said they stood by the quote and pricing. When I accepted the quote after a week of research with a spreadsheet, they installed the unit the next day--in the dead of winter when service calls probably peak and completed everything in five hours. So, very punctual. Other than one guy who complained about the salesman always over-promising and balking at moving the thermostat (which he quickly agreed to do after one call to the salesman), everyone was highly professional--so much so that I left them with the front door combination to lock up and left about an hour and a half before they finished. Very professional! I don't know enough about a/c heating units to say too much about quality. But, the tape and putty was perfectly done and the guy doing it talked about how he took pride in making sure the that the work wasn't just well done, but that it looked good (the same guy who complained about the salesman:-). And the pipes going into the a/c unit outside were perfectly bent into place with no excess or tight kinks. So, it looked and felt high quality. Quality is important since I read that most heating and a/c units and parts come from a very limited number of manyfacturers. 3 for parts and five for manufacturers under many brands. All of them meet six sigma standards--or whatever the measure of quality was. It's how the installer puts it together that matters on a heater a/c unit. The analogy was like having a dealer installer the motor and transmission in your car at the dealership after you picked the car. Parker Pearce just followed up with a free six month service call to check the unit. They called me to schedule it. I really do love Parker Pearce!

The last time they came out was when the electrical people were here because when they shut off the electric, my air conditioning, it affected it. They came out and tried to figure out what the issue were. They figured out because the electrician was turning off electricity for specific parts of the house which was affecting parts of the air conditioning. The machine said that there was something wrong so the machine shut itself off to make sure it didn't ruin itself.
