Company sent their representative to do an estimate, and he was thorough and provided the estimate after some calculation. I thought it was a little high but called a day or two later to go ahead with it. He directed me to mail a key with the contract, which I did, though apparently the key did not make it along with the contract (envelope was weight at post office with key in it so this is surprising). At the time of the estimate, and then a second time when I scheduled the job, I emphasized that i would have tenants moving in the following Saturday so all work would need to be finished by then, and I was assured that would be fine. Work began on Monday morning (12/29) as scheduled, I stopped by on Tuesday and things looked like they were well on track, and I called on Wednesday and was told work would be done that evening (12/31), which was perfect and right on schedule. However, when I stopped by on Thursday, there were several things out of order, some which made sense and some which did not: there were paint blobs on the floor, light switches, and inside kitchen cabinets (why the cabinets were even opened I do not know), some window coverings had been removed and not replaced while others had been removed and improperly reinstalled, some of the wall shelves in the main floor were correctly left intact, while others were not only removed but had their holes filled in and painted over so they were impossible to reinstall (I had been told to just leave anything up that I wanted to stay up), some empty room-height shelves had been unstacked and left unstacked (they were empty and really easy for me, a short female, to move out of the way, so I don't understand why they were unstacked at all, let alone not restacked), and they left the heat turned up (it was very cold out, and I was paying to heat an empty house). I called Thursday afternoon (1/1) to tell Oconnor that these things needed to be fixed, and reminded them that they needed to be fixed the next day (1/2) because I had tenants moving in Saturday (1/3). I didn't hear back. I called again on Friday morning and left another message and again didn't hear back all day, leaving me with no option but to fix all of the things myself before the tenants moved in. This was really difficult, especially in a house where I had already removed all my ladders/tools, and a big unplanned inconvenience at a stressful time. Part of the reason I went with Oconnor even though their price was high was because their website emphasized that they put a high value on communication and that they would work on the job to my satisfaction. This was not at all the case for me (although I was getting calls once a day or more when I still hadn't signed the contract or picked my paint colors). I understand that January 1 is a holiday, but January 2 is not, and regardless, in my mind there is no excuse for not even checking voicemail for 3 days after a major job like this has been done, especially when I had made my time constraints clear from the outset. I put all of my concerns into an email (just for documentation purposes at this point) on Sunday afternoon (1/4), and then I finally heard back. The rep called to explain that the office had been closed for New Years (for 4 days I guess) and that they were sorry and would come back and fix the problems - ignoring the fact that I had repeatedly said that everything had to have been done by the day before, and that at this point I had gone ahead and fixed it all myself out of necessity. He also pointed out that they would not be able to remove paint blobs from past painters, which I found a little insulting after everything that had happened. We went a few rounds like this, with me stating my concerns and him apologizing. I was offered approximately a 2.5% discount on the job for the hassle, which I accepted. I will say that the actual painting itself was very good; I have no complaints. But I am really disappointed that I paid what I feel was a premium price, only to have no support at the end of the job, despite my emphasis that I had rigid time constraints. I don't begrudge anyone their vacation time, but any business needs to ensure that they have adequate service coverage for any job in progress or recently completed. I would only use them again if it were a job with no time constraints and where I had the ability to make several checks on the work along the way - and in that case, I'd do it myself if possible and save a lot of money.

O'Connor's did an outstanding job. We had estimates from three top-rated companies but Mr. O'Connor was the only one who recommended satin finish paint rather than the flat we had used in the past, and he gave good reasons for doing so. The company's surface preparation was also much more thorough than the others. The crew arrived on time, did an excellent job of preparation and painting, protected property, and did not leave any mess behind. We definitely recommend O'Connor's Painting Service.

T he crew of O'Connor painting did a wonderful job painting the exterior of our home. They also repaired and replaced rotting wood for a reasonable charge. They came early and left late afternoon. The work site was always cleaned and neatened at the end of the day. The only problem/ suggestion I have is that make sure you get the foreman's cellphone number. If we had, it would have avoided issues over a holiday weekend. Other than that, we are very pleased with the paint job and will not hesitate to use them again.

I would definitely recommend O'Connor Painting. The quote was definitely the best bang for the buck - that is to say they were not the least expensive, but they quoted high quality outdoor paint (more expensive than the next cheapest competitor) and were knowledgeable about what my house needed. The painters called ahead; arrived when they said they would; and completed a great job. They were also extremely conscientious of keeping the area clean. Basically, they left my house looking great and if you had not seen them you would have no clue there were painters there today. Thanks guys!!

The estimating process was great - the owner of the company did the work himself, and answered all our questions. The work was performed on time and the crew was polite and careful with our home There were a few little things we were less than satisfied with - but I mention this not because of these minor issues but rather because of the excellent response we received when we voiced our concerns. I think the real measure of a company's customer service is how they treat customers when something doesn't go exactly as expected, because it's inevitable that'll happen sometimes. The key is prompt, courteous attention which O'Connor's provided. Not only did Dave O'Connor call to follow up about our concerns, but so did the painter, who took a personal interest and pride in making sure that we were satisfied. Note that this is not the first time we've used O'Connors, and our previous experiences were flawless in all respects (including a very messy job that included taking down old wallpaper). And the courteous and concerned response we received when some minor things weren't 100% to our satisfaction in our latest project only reinforced that O'Connor's is a top notch organization seriously committed to customer satisfaction. We will definitely use O'Connor's again.

Dave O'Connor was contacted to provide us with an estimate to completely repaint and repair, if necessary, the exterior to our house. Within several days Dave was at the house to discuss the work and provided us with a written estimate before he left. As part of the package left with us was a large number of written, local references as well as numbers for customers who have had work similar to ours done by his firm. He also provided us with a color palette that we used to select all our colors. His estimate was slightly higher that others but we were confident of the expertise of his work staff and the quality of the work to be performed. Once Dave's firm was selected he returned to finalize the estimate and offer some very helpful suggestions as to the trim colors that we incorporated. The work was started and finished on time with the exception of the timing delay, not O'Connor's fault, of acquiring the replacement window shutters. The on site project manager, Hyme, was present throughout and kept us abreast of the progress and any issues they came across. All of the work team were O'Connor employees and conducted themselves professionally. We were extremely pleased with the end results and are now working with them on some interior painting.

They came out and steam cleaned the exterior of home and painted the exterior trim. They were a little more expensive but they did a very good job. I had to call them back out for a few knicks on a post that I had found and they came right out and touched it up, no problem. I would use them again.

His company was excellent. They arrived early for work with a crew of three. They provided the work as expected and cleaned up each day before leaving. They scraped and sanded the surfaces and caulked where necessary. They used quality paints and have guaranteed the work for three years. I was extremely satisfied with the work, and the appearance of my property when they had finished. When I need painting in the future I will call their company. I would recommend them to anyone.

David O'Connor came to the house to see work to be done. Provided estimate, we arranged a flexible schedule to fit our times when we were away. Work completed on schedule as promised. Great!

O'Connor's Painting Service is an excellent company to do business with. Dave O'Connor, the owner, did all the estimating personally and carefully, taking the time to figure out and explain exactly what needed to be done, and providing helpful advice as to the what kind and color of paint to use for each part of the job. He then produced a complete, detailed, computer-generated and printed contract on the spot in less than half an hour. Dave also told me that the crew who would do the work would be the same ones who had painted the exterior of the house seven years ago. He uses only his own full-time employees, most of whom have been with him for quite a number of years. All the work was done professionally and efficiently. They put special emphasis on the prep work. The crew of three worked a full eight hours every day, and when they were finished their cleanup was so complete that there was no sign that they had been there except for the new paint. The outside work last fall took about six days, and the interior work just completed was done in just over three days It's easy to find painters who will give you lower estimates, but I have learned the hard way that in painting as in most other things, you get what you pay for. When you use O'Connor's, you pay a fair price for high-quality, truly professional work.

The entire process was an excellent experience,starting with David O'connor. He did the estimate, supplied all the appropiate information, a folder full: customer surveys,reference lists, explaining the 3 yr. guarantee, master color sheets,lists of preparations, helpful hents, and company profile. He answered any and all questions. The workman were punctual, polite, did their job well, always cleaned up after themselves everyday. Their years of experience shows in the finished product and I had no communication problems. I would and will use them again. The end results were beautiful and well worth the cost. I have used other companies in the past and had the opposite experience. In fact I was told by one that I had high expectations.

My contact person was David O'Connor, President and Owner. Dave was the very best in a contractor I could have wished for: always on time, clear in his explanations, happy to explain, and prompt answering my phone calls. His staff are his permanent staff members, not sub-contractors he is proud to note, qualified, pleasant to have around, and prompt. Why did I rate PRICE only with a B instead of an A? I had gotten 2 other estimates which were lower - one even substantially lower - than Dave's quote but I am glad I followed my instinct and chose him, even though I had to spend more than I had anticipated. And I was lucky: O'Connors Painting fullfilled his promise of quality work and timely completion. So I guess I should rate the priceB/A= with both a B and an A--you decide for yourselves! It all worked out well, the house looks beautiful - Thank you, Dave!

I am still not sure what I am going to do. It was fine. They were efficient. The price was high. The experience was excellent .They were very responsive and very professional. I don't know if I will use them; it will depend on whether or not I get a better estimate.
