Normandy Carpet

If I had known that the rugs could get this clean again, I would have done it sooner. The stairway was really sad looking. Our bedroom carpet is white...what was I thinking. Mostly it was wear and tear rather than stains. I called to make an appointment on Tuesday. The woman was really nice and reminded me to get their coupon off the website. They were scheduled to come Wednesday between 11 and 1. At 1:20 I called the company and found out they were on their way. Since they gave me an appointment so quickly I could hardly find fault. The guys who came were professional and knowledgeable. They moved furniture and put plastic under furniture legs. I think the price was fair. It is .39/sq ft of wall to wall carpet, .75/sq ft of an area rug and the coupon was for $25.

The work went well. They did what I asked them to do. The price was very reasonable and they were easy to work with and I would hire them again in the future.

They were great, the carpets look great, the price was average, the ownership was great, they were very pro active, and they were very professional. They are a good company.

I called a week prior to set up an appointment and was able to get the day I requested. On the day of the appointment, I called early to reschedule the time a little later because of an appointment change. The receptionist was so nice and changed the visit w/o a problem. Two men arrived on time, the lead person that I communicated with, was extremely professional and nice. They were here for about an hour and 45 min. min. and did a wonderful job. I was very impressed with the total experience from start to finish! I would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends!

They do a really good job. They are very professional. They got the job done in the right amount of time. Their prices are very fair. I would use them over and over again. I would recommend them to my friends and family.

When the two men arrived, I showed them the very dirty light yellow carpeting they were to clean, all of which had been badly soiled by two new puppies. Even though the carpeting was only 2 years old and quite expensive, I was ready to have it replaced it looked so bad. The men steadily worked for an hour and when they were done, I had what looked like new carpets! They did an awesome job and got every mark out.

They responded quickly and the work cost less than their telephone estimate. The worker was polite and did a very nice job.

They were great! Arrive on time, the service man was very nice, did a wonderful job and the price was great!

Carlos was a little early which was fine by me. He came in and got started on the pricing and explained everything clearly before work began. He quickly went to work on the stairs working his way down to the family room. Carlos worked so quickly and quietly I felt that all I had to do was sit back and relax. When he was finished Carlos asked me to check over his work and pointed out a spot that he was unable to remove. I however do not see any spots!

The rugs came back as clean and nice looking as when I purchased them. They give excellent service and will even store them for you if need be. They pick them up very quickly after calling them and return them quickly as well. I recommend them.

Normandy was great. Their guys showed up right on time and did a great job. There were several stains that I didn't think they would be able to remove, but they did! The guys were polite, professional, and quick. I will hire them again.

There was a lack of communication. The initial estimate was fine, but when the crew came out to work, they barely spoke English, were upset they had to work on a Saturday, and refused to do all the work on the contract. Left one room uncleaned. We called the secretary at the office and she hung up on me.

Generally very well. They first came for and estimate and gave very good advice. The price seemed fair. The actual cleaners were about and hour and half late but did a very good job.

Extremely easy: I called Monday, set up an appointment for Wednesday. They arrived on time, did a great job, and even told me one area did not need to be cleaned (which it did not). Price was considerably lower than I expected.

First job was carpet cleaning. Scheduled for first appointment of the morning with crew to arrive at 9:30. Crew did not arrive until 11:00 citing "traffic on 270" as their reason..... Second job was two days later. Again, I was scheduled for first appointment of the morning with crew to arrive at 9:30. Again, the crew did not arrive until 10:35...and they never called to inform me they would be late. They arrived in an unmarked truck and did not have their Normandy Carpet shirts on (as the company states all their employees wear). Only one of the men could speak English--and not very well. It was very difficult to give them instruction. I was very concerned that I probably had undocumented workers/ day laborers in my home. Normandy states in their ads that they do not subcontract out--only use their own employees. Due to inability to communicate, unsatisfactory job was done. I will NEVER use Normandy Carpet again & intend to inform all my Chevy Chase neighbors of poor service.

They were a bit late; but the work was done quickly and well. Make sure you get an estimate first; when they came back they wanted to charge us more; they ended up charging us the original estimate.

We were extremely satisfied with the results. This house was a former model home and had seen a great deal of traffic! There were stains that we had repeatedly tried to clean ourselves that always came back. The difference in the way it looks now, after professional cleaning, is nothing short of amazing. We were able to get an appointment quickly, the technician arrived in the time frame specified and gave us an on the spot estimate. The work was done quickly and thoroughly. He was courteous and careful. We thought we were going to have to replace this carpet, but now it looks great! We will recommend this company to our friends and will call them again in the future to do any jobs that we have.

The cleaner arrived on time and started the work immediately. One stairway was pretty dirty but it's clean now. After drying, all the areas look totally clean. This is the best carpet cleaning I have ever seen.

I got this company from Angie's List. Everyone had good things to say and I had carpets that needed help. I scheduled an appointment for pick-up but it was overlooked. It took two subsequent visits to finally get the carpets picked up and on their way. The delivery time was scheduled between 12:00-3:00. I called the company and was informed that they were running a bit behind schedule. I chose to cancel my appointment and wait for delivery since I am in a urban environment and they couldn't just drop them off. The carpets were delivered, neatly rolled in paper and look great. Despite a few hiccups I would recommend this company.

The serviceperson was very friendly and courteous. He asked about specific stains so he could use the correct solutions on each. He was able to remove several tough pet stains and blood stains. He also used a deodorizer which helped a lot (due to pets). The carpets look terrific and I will definitely continue to use Normandy. The scheduler was also very friendly, even when I had to cancel and reschedule due to other projects.

They arrived on-time and performed the work quickly. They moved all the necessary toys and furniture out of the way.

Carlos the technician was late in arriving, but polite and cheerful. However, it later transpired that he had not ever been sent out on a run by himself before, and that gap in expertise quickly became clear to me: he did not place protective foil under furniture legs as usual, did not ask me the usual questions about how much of each room I wanted cleaned, and generally seemed inexperienced and a bit nervous, although eager to please. I was not pleased that he came alone, as he declined to move furniture to clean underneath citing no partner, which turned out to have been his own decision. In all other cases two tech's had come to this large house. His tool turned out to be broken almost immediately, he did not have the proper repair kit, and had to return to the shop; he did a hasty job on one room and had to be asked to return the following week. The whole procedure took up almost four hours of my time and attention, and several phone calls to the main office requesting their help.

Very polite and friendly person took my information by phone and made the appointment. The worker showed up exactly on time, did the work efficiently, and asked if I had any questions. Carpet and rugs look great.

This company did an excellent job. The representatives arrived on schedule, were friendly and were professional. The carpet was cleaned very well.
