Don was great from start to finish. This is now my go to painting company.

Great! Very professional. Painters showed up when Don the owner they said they would. Crew worked steadily every day without breaks everyday until job was completed. They finished the job when they said they would. Their work looks great. They cleaned up. They also use rollers and brushes not sprayers which give a much better result. The pricing was good and Don was fair with his quote, included an Angie's List discount and I would definitely hire them again. I've had bad experiences with painters before. I once had two painters ( not Mr Paintbush) paint a house inside and out that I owned that only showed about two days a week, dragging the whole process out over 6 weeks. I still have two unopened 5 gallon pails of custom paint that they never used but I paid them for. I had another experience where I hired a handyman to paint the inside of my parents house using the same color flat paint as was on the walls. He showed up, but bought the cheapest paint which took two coats and then took twice as many days to do the job. The end result looked like thin paint. So, if you want to hire professionals to do your painting and not have to wonder if and when they will show up or don't want to fool around with contractors who only do half a job, then contact Don, Mr Paintbrush. Extremely professional. Four workers arrived, and two worked on each of the two rooms. The first day they stripped wallpaper and prepared the surface; the second day, they painted and did trim work. Overall, an excellent job. Cleanup was excellent.

I needed the interior of our three-level townhouse painted. I received multiple quotes. Mr. Paintbrush won the bid with a reasonable price. Don and his crew delivered an exceptional job. The house looks fantastic. I will hire this company again. I would strongly recommend if you want a paint job done the right way to hire them.

We HIGHLY recommend Mr. Paintbrush. I originally decided to call Mr. Paintbrush because of the excellent review the company received on Angie's List. Don (the owner) returned my initial call promptly...within an hour. He then scheduled an appointment to do an estimate the very next day. After reviewing the work we wanted done, he produced a written estimate while still at our house....within a half hour (immediate turn around on an estimate...amazing!!). The price was very reasonable (we had received others six months prior, and this one was very competitive). We awarded the work to Mr. Paintbrush and the company did not disappoint. We were scheduled in before the upcoming "weather deadline", despite their busy schedule. The owner was involved and on site each day, along with a small team. The communication from Don was excellent when bad weather prohibited the team from working. I knew the status of the multi-day project at all times. I can't speak highly enough about Don Short. He is extremely professional, personable, and was a pleasure to work with. We will definitely be using the services of Mr. Paintbrush again when we move to our new home in the Spring.

I contacted Mr. Paintbrush (Don Short) through Angie's List. He responded immediately and came to our home within a few days. He provided us with an estimate on the spot. His communication with us before and during the project was excellent. The project was to scrape, prime and and paint exterior window frames on our 100+ year old home. This included a very high attic window. His daughter Ginger was the lead on the job and was excellent to work with. They cleaned up every day and after the job was done, you would have never known they had been there, except for the now-painted windows!! I highly recommend them. Great communication, prompt and professional.

At the beginning of December we received three quotes to paint our two-story foyer which included the ceiling, all the trim, connecting room doors, a hallway, and a custom paint on the stair railing. The first quote took a few days to receive and was for $7,500, and that in our opinion was ridiculous. The second one was reasonable that also took a few days to receive; however, the painter was a one-man-team which would?ve taken longer; thus potentially increasing the cost and we were worried about the quality of the job. The third one was the one we hired, Mr. Don Short; owner and lead painter of ?Mr. Paintbrush,? a crew of three. Mr. Short promptly returned my call, came out the next day, and gave me an on-the-spot quote. He explained everything in a manner that was clear. Due to the upcoming Christmas holiday, he broke the project into two parts; first was to paint the foyer, trim, doors, ceiling, and hallway. He and his team came out the next week, spent three days and did a phenomenal job (see photo below). The second part, was to custom paint our stair railing with the pickets white and railing and newel posts black. Although we knew this would be a tedious job, Mr. Short and crew came out right after the new year just as he said they would; took three days to sand everything, prime and carefully paint giving us the exact result we were hoping for. Highlights: Mr. Short give me a quote for the job on the spot. He sat down at my counter and wrote everything! That was nice. The other quotes took several days to receive. The quote also included a 10% because I found him using Angie?s List. Crew: Mr. Short?s crew includes him, Max, and Sue. They are wonderful people who can be trusted in your home. On several occasions I had to run errands leaving them in the house never worrying about what they were or were not doing in our home. Work: Each day they showed up on time and worked hard throughout the day. My husband and I are very pleased with everything. He will be coming back out to our home in the near future to paint another room. I highly recommend Mr. Paintbrush. Mr. Short is a professional painter who is a nice person with fair prices!

Don was wonderful to work with! The day I contacted him to set up an appointment for him to come over to take a look at the work I wanted done, he re-arranged his schedule so that he could get to my house before I took my dog for his afternoon walk! We discussed the job, he gave me a price, and we set up a date for him to do the work. This morning Don and his team arrived right on time. They didn't dally around. They brought in their supplies and got right to work. Fortunately, the wallpaper didn't give them a hard time as it sometimes does, and they were finished with the job in under 3 hours. When they finished the work they did a fabulous job of cleaning up the mess and left both rooms clean and neat. It was hard to believe that a messy job had just been done in the rooms. Don even brought treats for my dog!

An absolutely superb job. This was not an easy task. On the first day a crew arrived and did the prep work; primarily to protect the screens that are very close to the railings. A crew of up to 4 worked for the next 3 days in weather that was a bit chilly to get the job done. No day labor here. Don and every crew member was skilled and meticulous. We chose Mr. Painbrush due the the honest advise and lack of hype. We were a bit reluctant to go with the lowest estimate. In this case it really paid off.

He is excellent and diligent. He is on time and he communicates very well and helps with the tough decisions. He is very respectable of keeping the house in good condition and makes it look like he was never there.

They're excellent. They did a great job. They were here on time. Their prices were great. They're the most competitive I could find. I actually looked at two or three different quotes from different painters, he's $200-$300 cheaper for the same service. The fact that he came over and took the time. Before he started the project, he came and showed me some paints so that I could decide on my color. I would definitely recommend him. I think I'll have him paint some more around my house in the future. He's very personable. You have the sense that he cares and wants to get the job done right the first time. It's a family-owned company. He didn't have a lot of people here working, just a few and they got the job done really quick.

Don Short and his team painted my brick house exterior and touched up my exterior arbor and gate and did minor interior touch up painting. From the first contact Don was extremely professional. He returned my call immediately and set up an appt. for an estimate. Based on two estimates I chose Don because I felt he would do an excellent job and the cost was about a third less than the other estimate. Don kept me informed on when he would be available to do my job, as well as confirmed all my color choices. Don and his team - Sue, Ginger and Max - arrived on time and got right to work. Despite the extreme heat, they were able to do my entire job in 2 1/2 days. The finished product has given a complete face lift to my house and looks fabulous. Extremely happy with the work. I will definitely use Don again for future painting work.

They were friendly and professional. More importantly, they did a very good job and did it in a timely manner. The price was reasonable. They also cleaned up nicely before they left. I recommend their service. It's been almost a year and the paint still looks fabulous. I waited to write this review because other houses on our street experienced peeling paint a few months after they had their house painted by other painters. Our paint is still in good shape. Mr. Paintbrush was really good. We liked him. He was very reliable and I thought he was reasonable for the work that he did. He seemed like a very honest man and he did very good work. I would highly recommend him. It was a job well done, there's nothing more that I can say than that.

While looking for an interior painter, I came accross Mr. Paintbrush. Don Short is the owner of the business and is very respectful. When he told me that he could meet me at 9:00 am to look over the master bedroom that needed painted I agreed. To my surprize Don had arrived 15 minutes early, which in my book is a plus! "To be early, is to be on time!" After scouting the area that needed to be painted Don gave me an estimate of approximately 800 dollars. The room is 12'x26' with a ceiling height of 8'. In addition to painting two coats on each wall, him and his two employees sanded, touched up, and painted the drywall ceiling. Don and his guys completed this room in an estimated 8-9 hours. They worked great as a team and were respectful to my home and family. I have to say that the painting is flawless and there are no complaints here! Don Short and his crew were consistently punctual for both the estimate and the painting job. Removing the wallpaper went off without a hitch, which took one day off the estimate of the time it would take to complete the job. The whole job went smoothly, and it was a pleasure to deal with Mr. Short.

Don Smart came out to give us an estimate the day after my initial call, and the work was scheduled for the Wednesday following. They showed up on time, very courteous, and did a great job. They were done by early afternoon.

Don's price was about half the other 3 estimates I had gotten (from non-Angie's List companies). When he had finished everything was cleaned up and the house looks great. I have already recommended him to some friends in my area.

The company did good work and came back to respond to a small issue that I pointed out. I highly recommend Mr. Paintbrush.

This was our second time using Mr. Paintbrush to paint interior rooms in our condo. Don and his crew are excellent; prompt, neat and professional. Felt the pricing was fair. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Don and his team arrived on time and immediately began setting up to work. All of the work was completed in a very timely manner and the results look better than we had hoped. Don was very accommodating and he even worked around another contractor that we had on-site that day. We liked that Don was onsite for the entire job and the entire team was professional and courteous. Everything was cleaned up when the work was completed.

I really appreciated the following: Used quality Benjamin Moore paint in colors I wanted.When weather changes threatened to delay the project, added workers to crew to finish before the forcasted problem days.Though quoted for priming and two coats to provide coverage over red stained siding, reduced final billing because prime and single coat was all that ended up being needed.Crew was on time and very professional.Absolutely recommend using.

Don Short arrived on time Sept 16, 2011. They immediately began preparing the trim with scraping and priming with a primer that worked on oil and latex paint, both of which were on the trim. Also water damage on two interior ceiling was repaired with spcackle and then sanded and primed. The painting proceedly well since there was no rain on the next three days. All work debris was removed.

Went very well. First day they powerwashed all of the aluminmum siding and trim. Second and third days were devoted to painting.
