Had a brand new HVAC system installed in August 2016, replacing a 30 year old system original to the house that we had bought in March of 2016. System worked fine until 3/14. The heating system totally shut down down and stopped working. I called the "emergency number" listed on their website only to find out that it's been disconnected. So, their "24/7 Emergency Service" is untrue. I called the office number listed on their website to get "Dawn's" Voicemail, of which I left two. If she is supposed to be the "emergency contact" she needs to be removed from that position and someone who actually knows how to answer a phone when they have the office number forwarded to their personal cell phone for purposes of business. I never received a call back and continued to call until I got someone. They sent out a technician who stated it was a dirty sensor, which he serviced, and the system kicked back on and worked. The tech said that the system needed to be serviced at least once a year. Thought it was a little odd since it hasn't been a full year yet, or even close to it. Jump to the next evening, the system shut down again, with the same error codes that it was flashing when it went down the first time. My house is now in the mid- 50s with no heat, and my 18 month old daughter has now developed a cold. Again I've had to call and call waiting for the office to open to service this apparent piece of garbage I've been sold, not to mention a trip to the doctor's office. Their communications and emergency information are untrue, or at the very least, not updated. I'm now waiting for yet another technician to come out and properly fix this system, since we now know that it's not a "dirty sensor" caused by "lack of maintenance." Total joke, would not hire this company to sell or fix anything with HVAC. Unfortunately, I have a 10 / 5 warranty with them now, so I will have to continue to do business with them until the warranties expire.

I hired them to try to fix my Teledyn-Lars boiler during the holidays. They sent out a tech who looked at my system and said "flame too big" and said that the unit should be replaced. He didn't speak English well. He called a salesman who came out and recommended a new boiler, that as it turns out was more than twice the size of my old boiler with 1/3 less BTUs. The cost was over $3000 more than what Home Advisor said it should cost and the unit works very poorly. I came home yesterday and it was 50 degrees outside it took six hours for the heat to go from the setting of 55 degrees to 66 degrees. My old unit would have gotten to that tempature in less than an hour. The unit, which I could have purchased online for $2000 cost $8000 to be installed in a one day installation. I told the salesman that I thought the unit was undersized for our house and that we were being overcharged because it was the holidays and we had no heat. I would not under any circumstances recommend this company

The person I talked to on the phone got my address wrong, but the technician called and we ended up communicating by text messages to direct him to our home. Very patient and courteous, explained me everything I needed to know about the system.

I got four estimates before choosing Michael Bonsby. They were the only HVAC contractor to actually measure my house and recommended a system based on those measurements, which turned out to be a smaller and more affordable unit than my existing system. The other three just assumed the existing system was properly sized and proposed replacing it.

My heat stopped working on a Saturday morning! I thought 'oh no, how am I going to get someone to come out on a Saturday?' But Michael Bonsby has Saturday hours, thank goodness! Someone actually answers the phone! A technician came out that afternoon and fixed it quickly and I thought the price was reasonable. They don't charge extra on weekends! Would definitely call again! Great service.
