Master Fences

Carlos was the salesman and he was awesome. Carlos sr. also showed up on the job to verify that all was well. They did the job in one day and were kind and courteous. My husband noticed one of the boards had a pine-knott that would at some point become a hole and they replaced it right away. This was a very professional job.

They did a great job in the quote and in building the fence.

The work was completed in a timely and professional manner with no issue.

Pretty much all the quotes we received for this job were around $10,000. We choose Master Fences based on Angie's List reviews and the time we spent with the owner, Carlos, during his visit to provide an estimate. Carlos is very customer service oriented and I had a number of issues I was trying to work into the fence including picking up where a neighbor's fence left off, maintaining some view of the park land behind our house, and installing a high quality product that would keep me happy, the neighbors happy, and secure the pool that is in the back yard. Carlos suggested a few options and we decided to go for a six-foot board and batten fence on both sides and a six-foot, five-rail high paddock with wire in the back. Work began a week or two after we signed the contract. The fence was done over three days, one day per side. I appreciate the extra effort done to keep the property fenced during the construction. The area was left clean at the end of the project. A very nice job.

I had recently bought a ground-level condo and sought to put up a fence for my dog. After a different contractor failed to keep his appointment, I found Master Fences on Angie's List. Sabrina and Carlos worked with me each step of the way to provide an estimate for the job, obtain approvals from the city and my condominium association, and finally to complete the fencing project. I'm very happy with the result, and am glad to have a more private space for me and my dog to relax.

It was perfect. The best fencing job I've seen anybody do. They painted and finished everything as well.

They did a very basic fence for us. It looks nice and overall it came out fine. They were relatively quick in what they did. The only problems we had was the payment. They charged us over $600 than what they should have on our credit card. They ended up crediting us back when it was caught, but it was still inconvenient and concerning. They came out several times to talk through the options in fencing. We wanted some privacy between us and our neighbors, but it was a matter of how much privacy. They were very good at going through the options. They actually had a brochure and showed us the different style they had done. We might decide to put in more fencing and we may have them back.

It went very well. They were timely and did good work. I have already contracted them for another job.

I'm very pleased with the results. Master Fences had the best prices, completed work efficiently, and the quality is very good. I've received many compliments on our new fence. We are very happy with their work. I did have to call about two details that were not completed as was discussed in the initial consultation. In both cases, Master Fences quickly fixed the problem. I would recommend taking the time to clearly go over all aspects of the job before installation begins.

The repair work went smoothly as the contractor estimated. The completed job looked great. The site was totally cleaned up. I would recommend this contractor.

They responded quickly to my initial request for an estimate, were on time for the appointment and had the best price. Got an Angie's List discount! They were polite and finished the project on time and budget, no hassles. We're very pleased! Would definitely use them again.

Weather aware we watched reports closely to set the work dates to avoid this summers wettest days! The company owner, Carlos Ruano, called to let us know the deck materials would be delivered before the install days. When day one of install arrived the crew got to work early and worked all day (they must have taken a lunch break but everytime I looked at least two were working!) The first day was entirely used for removal of the old deck and inspection of the remaining support posts. Day two began the install of the new deck. Day three was job completion. Each day the job site was cleaned at the end of the day. After one month Carlos returned to stain and seal the deck. And he made a second visit to touch up the stain & seal. We are very happy with the results and strongly recommend Carlos and his crew.

Carlos Ruano, the owner of the company, worked along side his team to replace the broken rails and the interior wire on our split rail fence. We also had him replace rotting posts and broken rails elsewhere as after ten years they are failing. (We had another company install the original fence in 2001). They used top quality materials, worked fast, removed the old materials, and left teh job site clean.

I got a puppy fall of last year and wanted a space for him to run around without worrying he will get away. I contacted MF and they were prompt with responding so they can come out and see the work that might have to be done.There was a bit of a delay of getting the materials\other projects they were working on. Aside from that, it was really great. I was at school the day they came out to install my fences and I was really psyched to come home and see it all done. They even came back the next day to finish the cleanup and make sure everything is squared away since they were working til the evening the day prior. loved the new fence! Overall, really great company. Though I e-mailed them this August to possibly get the chainlink fence in the back with wooden ones, but alas, I have yet to hear back. Calling might be the best way to reach them. Still, I would recommend them.

I loved working with Master Fences. Their office staff was friendly and responsive. Carlos came out to give us an estimate and was very pleasant to work with. He understood what we wanted and was able to show us samples to verify. We were impressed with him in every way. We scheduled a convenient time (they were happy to work with us on our scheduled so we could be home while they did the installation) and they put in the fence today. It looks fantastic. I've been very impressed with both Carlos and his team. They're hard-working and were willing to work with me on the changes I'd come up with at the last second. The fence looks exactly as we wanted it to and we're very happy with the result. I'd use Master Fences again and will be recommending them to all our friends and neighbors.

They are absolutely excellent. They came right out, did the estimate, and they made a last minute change per my request. The fence looks great.

When I called back to the receptionist, she said "oh well, I messed up". She never apologized and thought that rescheduling for later that afternoon would be a satisfactory solution (it wasn't). I wanted to talk to Carlos but she would neither put me through nor give me his phone number. Basically, these folks have a front office that keeps you from getting through to the guy who is in charge. As I look through the other bad reviews from these guys, I see that it is the same problem: the front office. Don't expect professional service here.

I thought they did a great job. Carlos was very communicative and responsive. I was happy with the crew and the timeliness of their work. I'd use them again.

Work was delayed due to poor weather conditions. Once completed I was satisfied with the job. My only comment is that I left a couple of messages with questions and never received a call back with the answers. Overall, satisfied.

Called for an estimate and received a return call immediately. I scheduled a time for the estimate and Carlos was on time, polite and very helpful. We agreed on a price and time for repair. I was out of town for a week, but the repair was done while I was not at home and I called on my return and paid with a credit card. The repairs were done well and I am very pleased.

Carlos gave me the estimate. The price was fair and I wanted to go ahead with the contract just had few questions to clarify first. But Master Fences has never returned my calls. I called few times and left the messages to the receptionist. Strange. They are highly rated here. Other company installed the fence.

On one side of my home, I had a small section (around 8 ft) of old rusty chain link fence removed and replaced including having a small gate installed. On the other side of my home I had a small section (around 8 ft) of old chain link rusty fence and a double gate removed and replaced as well. They drilled a hole in the concrete for the metal bar that helps to keep things in place for the double gate, as there wasn't one previously. They did an excellent job and it looks great. I would recommend them to anyone looking to have fencing done.

They arrived on time, did the job cleanly, no complaints. They had to go through some concrete pavers to sink the fenceposts, which they did without any problems. Great price, great service.

Carlos Ruano met with me and managed the job. He was very attentive and professional and a pleasure to know and work with. His crew worked hard and did a great job. The price, quality, and timeliness were excellent.

The person came over right on time and was very pleasant. She obviously was very knowledgeable of what to do and how to do it. She gave me some options and explained the differences between things. The estimator was very professional as well as respectful. She had a level of integrity, knew that he was giving me an estimate and did not try to hard sell me on anything. They were very honest. I think the quoted price was about $4,000 but I did not get the work done.
