Description of Work: DO NOT RECOMMEND. Peter came to the house in the height of the pandemic for a consultation. He arrived an hour late on a work day, made no apology for or acknowledgment of his tardiness and when completed the tour, he sat down on a chair in the backyard for another hour hand writing his estimate. He never followed up and the pandemic plus a new puppy delayed our fencing needs. I reached back out a week or so ago to Sabrina - who is great by text, picks up her phone and pleasant overall. She scheduled another visit because the new puppy requires a different kind of fence. Peter arrived 50 minutes late this time and only after I called Sabrina for a status check. It was nearly dark by the time he arrived, without apology again. He went on to complain that he had to come back a second time, argue with me about small details, rent that he could build things I saw on their website and then tell me how great his Angie’s list rating is. The meeting concluded awkwardly when he asked if he could use the bathroom in my home before he hand wrote another estimate. I told him there was not one available and the construction workers we have currently use their own porta potty. Peter told me he would go to his car to work on the estimate (idk what happened with the need for a toilet), but he called 30 mins later to tell me he would send it the next day. Well, if you’ve read this far you can guess, Peter never sent the estimate at all. What a HORRIBLE waste of time. Unprofessional and do not recommend.

+ -1 moreWe got an estimate within one day to repair our existing fence. I had received another estimate from a different company that recommended to replace a majority of the fence and it was too costly. They came to replace the fence, were very thorough in inspecting it and replacing only what was needed, which ended up being more than the estimate. However, without my prompting, since the cost was to be $600 over the estimate, they offer to reduce it by 1/2, so instead of paying an additional $600, it was $300 over the estimate. It was still more than the estimate, ended up needing more than 25 extra pieces of fencing. In the end, I was pleased with the work.

He came again and revised the estimate. I submitted my request to our HOA (ugh) and Carlos was very patient as we waited on our approval. Once granted, he was able to begin the work almost immediately. He finished in one day. There was no mess left and the fence is absolutely perfect - very sturdy.
Description of Work: We needed to replace a sagging, deteriorating back fence for our end-unit townhouse.

He arrived at the appointed time and we discussed what needed to be done. After measuring the garden and talking about the materials to be used the owner very quickly calculated the cost and provided me with a written estimate for the fencing alone and for removal of the old fence. My husband and I discussed the price and suitability of the fencing and decided that day to contract with Master Fences to do the job. This estimate was much more reasonable than another we had received. The job was scheduled for one week later. The crew arrived on time and took down the old fencing. The owner arrived to explain to the crew exactly what the fence was to look like and how the gates were to be set at the corners of the garden. The work went smoothly and was completed that afternoon as indicated. All the workers were pleasant and were able to answer any questions we had. The owner was on the job for a good part of the day. We are very pleased. We paid the bill and were assured if there were any problems we just had to call. All in all this was a very good experience.
Description of Work: Removed and disposed of old wire fence and posts. Built new, approximately 25' x 50' x 4',split rail fence around vegetable garden. Put up 4' wire fencing on the inside of the split rail fence. Built two wide, board gates to accommodate our garden cart. Posts for gates were set in concrete to ensure stability. All materials were pressure treated. All debris was cleaned up and removed at the end of the job.

Actually, the representative was suppose to be in SE, which was the address I gave the night before. Looking for another fence company as this would have been a $7k+ job and I don't feel comfortable spending that kind of money with folks who can't find the site nor admit when they are wrong or there is a problem. The representative knew he was lost before I called to check on his whereabouts.

He and his crew showed up as scheduled and constructed an absolutely beautiful, hand-built (as opposed to putting up pre-assembled sections) fence that exceeded our expectations in terms of craftsmanship and results. It looks wonderful. We are extremely pleased with this job and highly recommend Master Fences.
