It was fine but at the end the representative told me I owed a $90 fee for the estimate. They never told me about this fee when I called to schedule the appointment. I felt like I couldn't trust them after that.

Work was done well, I was to be charged 220 an hour for the first hour and then 160 an hour after that. After review of the problem they told me it would cost 723 with the Angies List first time user discount of 10% that would become $650. I naturally assumed this was 4 hours worth of work totaling 700 dollars plus 23 dollars for parts. The plumber was there from 8-1030, so I'm not sure how the cost ended up being so much.

Tyler arrived on time and after I showed him the faucet, he went to his van and got the part to replace it. The repair was quick and simple. Then he told me he could do a free plumbing maintenance inspection of my home since he was already there. The upside of having the inspection is that if we need a part in the future for other repairs, they would know what parts they need based on the information on the inspection report. That would eliminate the need for them to come back with the part. Since it was free I went ahead and let him do the inspection. The price I thought was a bit expensive. The part was less than $30 but the labor was $140 for the first 30 minutes. I did get a 10% discount as an Angie's List member. After using several plumbers over many years, plumbing & HVAC service calls and repairs are never cheap. I will likely use Mallick again because they were so professional, polite, experienced and Tyler did not try to hard sell me to do any repairs that I really did not need.

They replaced new pipes. It was great.

The culprits were found and an estimate of repair costs given. The repair costs, although accurate, were so expensive that a decision was made to replace the system with another type that would not involve plumbing work. Plumbers, in this area, are, after all, more expensive than HVAC repairs.

Great! I requested a quote via Mallick's website and was contacted within 24 hrs and offered an appt for the next day. That didn't work for my schedule but they were able to accommodate an appt for the day after. I was given a service window of 9-12. Jeff arrived promptly at 9am. The installation was completed in less than an hour-no problems. I will gladly use again.

Excellent work, on time and everything worked fine. Removed all old parts and cleaned up after installation. I would grade them A plus.

Excellent job. Billy is an experienced plumber and explained everything that he would have to do. Took about 4 hours and Mallick is not cheap, but they do excellent work. We have used Mallick for any plumbing needs for 20 years. Great local company.

I was told that they would arrive in the afternoon but would call with a more precise time. The dispatcher called and said that they could come out by 11:30am if I was available. Dan arrived exactly on time, used booties as it was raining and got right to work. He was very professional and didn't stop, not once. He used a drop cloth and he cleaned up with the shop vac when he was done. You couldn't even tell he was there except for the perfectly cut drain system he constructed. He only stopped to answer questions that I had. I definitely would recommend these guys.

Work was performed in a timely and competent manner

Although we are on public water and sewer, our wastewater has to be pumped up to the street. When the pump system broke, Mallick Plumbing replaced and tested new pumps, floats, and an alarm system which would alert us in case of pump failure. Although there may have been other companies who could provide the work need for the septic tank, only Mallick could replace the alarm system which had broken many years ago. Other plumbers said we had to get an electrician to fix the alarm; electricians said we had to get a plumber. Mallick just did it. In addition, we've had them in for normal repairs to drains and toilets. Not inexpensive; the last was $250 to replace the float and valve in a toilet and replace a fuse in the septic alarm system. But, they quickly and efficiently get the job done.

The work was done professionally but their labor charge was $180 an hour for work that could have done by any plumber.

The work performed by the Mallick plumbers, Dale and Mike, was fantastic!! There were 5 jobs for them to perform, including a water heater and sump pump. They did them all fairly quickly, neatly and diligently. They went out of their way to minimize damage. When it would have been easier to make huge holes in the ceiling, or tear up part of my deck, they spent a little extra time and creativity to NOT do those things. They were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The work was done as well as anyone could have done it, with much less damage than I feared would occur. I would have given Mallick perfect scores across the board, except for some communication problems with the office. There were several times the office promised to call and they did not. I had to follow up with them, which became annoying. Finally, I went above the project manager's head and was able to resolve these issues to my satisfaction. Overall, though, I am thrilled with the quality of the work and the service provided. I recommend Mallick Plumbing, especially if you can have Dale assigned to your job!

Finding my basement flooded and water leaking from my water heater, I called Mallick and had a technician at my house within 30 minutes. He gave me options for a State and Bradford White replacement, the latter being about $300 more. We chose the less expensive State, although I knew that BW was a top manufacturer. The technician left to pick up the unit and returned 15 minutes later, telling me that the State was not available, but I could get the BW at the same price. No problem there. Couple of hours later, I had a new water heater and the tech left. About 3 hours later I went to the basement to empty the dehumidifier and found a huge puddle of water with water pouring out of a bad weld on the cold water feed pipe. It was now after work hours and Mallick sent a tech out within 2 hours. He replaced both the incoming and outgoing pipes and connections and put in a new incoming water shutoff valve. The new work was clean and well put together. The technician, Danny Tracy, was professional, competent, personable, and a pleasure to have working in my home on a major system. He sensed my concern about the welding and stayed until the water heater again began working and there was no evidence of leaking. I spoke with Mike Mallick about this project and he strongly apologized for the problem with the initial installation. I complimented Danny but did not need to express my concerns about the original tech. This problem had already been brought to the attention of management and was being dealt with. Mike offered me a refund of an amount sufficient to compensate us for the added aggravation and cleanup. Mallick handled the entire transaction professionally and courteously and I strongly recommend them. I would have no hesitation about using them again. They previously installed a new garbage disposal and did some other minor work for us and they were my first call to replace the water heater. They will continue to be the plumbing contractor I call when I need one.

They do a very good job. I have no problem. Perfection , no issue. They did what they suppose to do, I paid and they left. It was great.

It was an emergency call, as a pipe had burst because of the cold weather. I spoke with Mike Mallick, who was incredibly helpful. The response was VERY fast. Danny was at my house within 30 minutes (if not less) of my call with Mike. I am extremely pleased with the work done, as well as the demonstrated professionalism and customer service.

They were very responsive in tending to my needs. They tried several different options to fix the problem first. They were conscious in attempting to use lower cost options. They listened to me and were attentive. Ultimately we had to do a bigger fix which involved jackhammering the concrete floor and replacing a portion of the sewer line. They were professional, cordial, and on time. I would use them in the future.

We were very impressed with the customer service, punctuality and results. The plumber, Joe Lyons is a very nice man, helpful and would highly recommend asking for him if you want an experienced plumber.

I had phoned for estimates to replace our old 75 gal gas water heater the day before. All estimates were within $200 of each other. The provider sent a service man to check the existing tank, pipes, and space the next morning. Another company did not do preliminary checks and I did not feel comfortable authorizing work without knowing exactly what needed to be done and the cost. After receiving an estimate for the job, we decided to go ahead with Mallick the same day. It was a tight squeeze to get the old tank out and the new one in. We had the furnace replaced a few years earlier and it took up more space than the old one making it difficult to move a 75 gal water heater. The installation was completed and the existing system brought up to code. A service man explained what had been done and reviewed the bill. The area had been cleaned up and put back the way it had been earlier in the morning. The service men were pleasant and polite.

I called yesterday and received an appointment for today. The lady who answered the phone was very polite. Today, my husband was running late to be at home for the appointment as he was held up at work. We called, and the service providers waited 10 minutes for us to arrive at home. Once they arrived they fixed the faucet, explained how the new code worked, and fixed the basement drains all in under two hours. The price was great. The service person, Jeff Jarvis was very knowledgeable, professional and nice. We will definitely use Mallick for the rest of our plumbing needs.
