Description of Work: We contracted with MAB Home Services for a complete remodel of our kitchen. We were on a very tight budget, but Micheal agreed to take on the project. Let me just say that he was on time, on budget and we love our beautiful new kitchen. Now for the important stuff: | |When we contracted with MAB Home Services, we really contracted with Michael. I can not praise him or his work highly enough. Michael is the person who does everything. Yes, he calls in a plumber and electrician when needed, but it is really Michael who does 98% of the work-- and he coordinates with his plumber/ electrician/ etc. so well that it is all seamless. The month we spent with out a kitchen was a pain, but he made it as pleasant as possible. Michael is meticulously clean and thorough, and I swear that our house was actually cleaner when he left each day than when he started. | |If you have very specific ideas about what you want, he will respect and follow your ideas. If, like us, you are somewhat clueless-- he will guide you and make suggestions and provide explanations in a completely friendly, non-judgmental way. He was very realistic about what we could and could not do within our budget and had plenty of ideas and options for us. | |Let me provide a example of his work ethos: When we started our kitchen, we hadn't factored in the price/ schedule of a tile backsplash. But as the kitchen progressed, Michael and I decided that it would be best to have it done for the completion of the kitchen. I had NO idea what we wanted. So, he met us at a tile store and we worked together to come up with an idea. He went home and put it on paper. I called him up on the Saturday before he was going to begin the tiling to let him know that I wasn't thrilled with the tile (which I had chosen) and plan (which I had approved) and that I was going back to the tile store to get some more ideas. His response was something like this: "All that matters is that you are happy with your kitchen. I'll meet you at the tile store in 30 minutes." So, we met at the tile store. Sunday he got me a new plan. Monday he started the tiling. And it looks fantastic. | |I have heard so many horror stories over the years that I was really scared about the kitchen renovation and put it off for a long time. But Michael IS our contractor-- I can honestly say that I will never go to anyone else for anything home related (if it's in his purview). I have recommended him, without hesitation, to everyone I know. |

Description of Work: Designed and remodeled a kitchen. Michael drew up 6 design plans before we arrived at a 7th and final design. He made a work time line for the demolition and installation of the entire kitchen including all appliances. The cabinets, flooring,plumbing,electrical work was all in the plan, but what was so impressive is that everything was delivered and installed according to the plan! The work ran smoothly, I didn't hear "there is a problem with delivery so the cabinets will be delivered late or It will cost more..." Michael has a good relationship with the vendors, the plumber and electrician he works with. The craftsmanship of his work is outstanding, he takes pride in his work and attends to EVERY DETAIL. It has been a full year since my kitchen is complete and I get numerous complements on the design of this kitchen especially from those who knew what it looked like before. I will definitely use Michael again when I remodel my bathrooms. He is honest, tells you straight he knows his business inside and out and he knows what he can and cannot do. He is the best. As a bonus he even let my dogs outside and cared for them when I wasn't home. I trust him completely. Do use MAB Home services and Don't look elsewhere.

Description of Work: They did some preliminary/assessment work for me. They are pleasant to work with and they were professional with their approach. They sent a second engineer who provided me with a different opinion and I am still trying to decide who I am going to use for the work.

Description of Work: He remodeled our basement and a bathroom. He installed drywall as well.
