They originally were going to store everything in South Carolina until we found a home but they changed that to Gaithersburg and we didn't have a choice in the matter. The 18 wheeler they brought was big enough for all of our items and they had told us they would bring two trucks if need be, instead they moved many items outside of the truck. They dropped many boxes, they broke so many things that can't be replaced including marble tables, antique furniture and much more. The owner actually lives out of the country and has yet to respond to me.
Description of Work: We hired Budget Van Lines to move two homes and they subcontracted the job to Lite Van Lines. They only brought one semi to do the move and everything was to be put in storage until we purchased a new home.

**DO NOT USE LITE VAN LINES** (OR AFFILIATED ECOMOVERS) !!! PLEASE READ!! I've never posted a review before, but thought it was important to share our experience. The entire process was a nightmare: 1. SEXUAL HARASSMENT: -------------------------------------------------- The mover arrived by himself (I was at work at the time, unfortunately). The mover asked my fiancee if she was single, insisted on hugs (plural -in a jokey but 'not-taking-no-for-an-answer' kind of way), and made explicit remarks to her; they were offensive enough so that she felt compelled to wait in the bathroom while he packed in order to get away from his inappropriate behavior. I spoke with management at EcoMovers regarding this issue - this is a serious charge. Their reaction regarding the harassing behavior by their employee was very straightforward: they spoke to me "man on man" (in their words), and in their strong accent they told me they didn't believe a word I said! Their notion of appropriate customer interaction was frankly shocking on all levels, which quite honestly I think must be partially cultural. 2. OVERCHARGE: --------------------------------------------- The estimate for moving half a studio's worth of things was $1300. The final price was over $3000. An extra $770 was added to the charge on the spot. I will spare you the math, but this was an inordinate charge (I'm happy to provide details if anyone is interested). ******************************************************************************* **** DON'T TAKE A CHANCE - GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE!! ****** *******************************************************************************
Description of Work: My fiancee and I were moving a small studio apartment's worth of furniture from Maryland to Arizona. We used a company called "Eco Movers", who then farmed out the business to "Van Lite Lines" (unbeknownst to us). Van Lite arrived to pack the items in Maryland. I honestly don't know which company or entity delivered the items in Arizona.
