Description of Work: I went to JCPenney as I received a $ 10.00 coupon to come explore their new store and merchandise. I purchased Liz Claiborne jeans, which fit great in the store, and I would not have to have the jean altered to fit my 5'1" frame. Per instructions I washed the jeans before first use. The jeans no longer fit after washing, they shrunk over 3". I returned the jeans to the store, which was another problem as I had purchased two items and used the $10 coupon. The sales clerk put through the refund, and I noticed that the refunded amount was not the price of the jeans but $6.00 less. The explanation I received was, since I purchased 2 items, at checkout they divided the coupon so it would show a discount of $6.00 on one item and $4. 00 on the other. No where on the coupon did it state a percentage on each item, it only stated a $10 discount. This made no sense, as I was returning one item, I still should receive the full $10 discount on the other item I kept. The sales clerk went on to tell me, If I had purchased only one item I would have received the full $10 credit on the one item. I said are telling me JC Penney would rather customers only purchase one item, if you use a coupon ? I though you were in the retail business? The manager was called and still insisted I would only get a credit for $6.00 less than the purchase price. So instead of my $10 credit, the only credit would be $4.00 which was applied to the other item. example: item one $30.00 Jeans How JC Penney claimed the sale: item one $30.00 -6.00 total $24.00 item two 22.00 item two $22.00 -4.00 total 18.00 Total 52.00 total $42.00 coupon - 10.00 return credit 24.00 instead of $30. Total 42.00 As I returned the $30 jeans my total charge for the other item should be $22.00 minus the $10 coupon

Description of Work: Draperies for Living Room and Dining Room. On the morning of my appointment, The sales staff put me in the middle of the argument as to which sales representative should get my business. Several years ago I did business with a rep from the Lakeforest Store for my family room and did not realize I was required to specifically request him when I dediced to do the draperies for my Living/Dining Room. Consequently, at the time the sales person was supposed to arrive, I started receiving phone calls from the rep I made the appoiontment with, from the previous sales rep and also from the manager at the store - everyone saying you should pick "me". It would have been best if I had cancelled everything at that time. While the final product was what I had chosen, it was not what I had envisioned for the room, nor was it the look I had attempted to convey to the decorator. The drapes look "cheap" and the delivery time was not as promised.

Description of Work: We used JCPenney's custom window treatment service to have custom draperies put in our home. They installed the drapes last Friday.
