We were left with a bad taste in our mouths when, after raising concerns regarding the cleanup after day 1, Joey told us that any dissatisfaction was our fault and not his for having forewarned us. He insinuated that we were difficult customers and that we should know better than to expect electricians to leave the home clean after they completed the project for the day. On day 1 the team did not cover our furniture and only swept up the debris when we asked them to, just before they were going to leave for the day. We will note that they did sweep and lightly mop the main debris area after we expressed displeasure about the state of the dust everywhere. After the job was completed, we paid extra for the ceiling holes to be patched ($45 for 5" and $65 for 6"). Though the patchwork was incomplete (as described by one of the workers - they didn't get a chance to provide a second coat), Joey refused to give any kind of discount off that payment (that incomplete service cost $800), citing that the team had already worked too many hours the day before and couldn't therefore complete the patch component of the job because "it was a courtesy rate." We realized after they completed the job and left that they had discarded a significant portion of the debris from the ceiling on our front flower bed, complete with bits and pieces of dry wall, cleaning material and wires. We have landscaped perennials there that will need to be repaired, leaving us with an eyesore and literally with litter in a very visible spot in front of our home. We have pictures of this. We already were left disappointed with the tenor of our interaction with Joey when they completed the job, but we were prepared to move on and hope that our experience was abnormal. But, upon seeing the extent of the debris left behind, we feel compelled to leave this review. This was an expensive job for us - nearly $5,000 - an investment we were looking forward feeling excited and validated for having made but are left with mixed feelings. UPDATE: Today (2/8) staff from J & G came by our home to clean up the debris in the garden, also leaving a note behind welcoming us to follow up further if we had any questions or concerns. We appreciate that they took our complaint seriously!

Called and spoke to Eric and although he was booked he adjusted his schedule and fit me in the next day. Diagnosed the problem and made sure the Dryer was working before he left. I have used the folks before and cant say enough good things about them. Great Company

I like working with J&G and we use them all the time. When something is complicated or difficult, this is especially the time to use them, as they take the time to figure out how to make something work, even if challenging. I had several old circuits in my house that needed AFCI protection, but the wiring was complicated by shared neutrals; through several efforts and trying different alternatives, we finally got AFCI breaker protection on virtually all of the old circuits. They also setup a heat detector system in the attic, which is difficult to do in today's world, where there are few detectors on the market that work in attics. Yaris successfully wired what was basically a commercial detector into a commercial signal, and placed it nicely, and found a way to wire through the ceiling that was inconspicuous. I could not be more happy with the outcome of these efforts, as they go a long way to giving us piece of mind about electrical safety in an old house with old wiring.

Installation could not have gone better. We have had several Hunter fans we have dragged around the world with us and they just needed to be replaced. Had a Haiku fan installed two years ago by another firm - love the fan, but it wasn't installed properly. I spoke with the firm I purchased the fan from (Big A** Fans)and they had very favorable reports from customers who used J&G Electric. I spoke with Eric at J&G who not only installed the new fan - but fixed the previous purchased fan that was not properly installed. Haiku fans (particularly the new ones with "SenseMe") are amazing, but not just anyone can install them. Having observed how Eric installed the fan, I'm confident J&G can perform any electric work you need and I plan to call upon them any time electric work is needed in our home. J&G gets my most favorable recommendation.

He was courteous and flexible on the phone. He arrived right on time. He was friendly and helpful and explained what he was doing the whole time so that I could understand everything. He squeezed me in the day before Thanksgiving and I am very grateful! I will definitely use them again and I wholeheartedly recommend them!

They made an appointment and then never showed. When we called to ask them what happened they acted like we had never contacted them in the first place. Very frustrating and a total waste of our time.

Can't give enough kudos for this one - I had an electrician scheduled to do work and called the very same day of the work to cancel, and it was time sensitive. Called J&G and they got me on the schedule for the next day! And, they showed up when they said they would! It seems like almost every vendor is late nowadays, and it is refreshing to have them show up exactly as planned. The work done was perfect and professional. We had track lighting installed where there was no lighting, so wires had to be run through the walls to the ceiling. The work was completed efficiently and looks great. Won't hesitate using them again in the future!

Truly excellent work, above code. J&G Electric is not your typical "handyman electrician" - these are real pros who know how to properly design and install electrical systems. I am a demanding customer and I couldn't be happier with how the job came out. It was a commercial quality installation; not typical residential quality.

Great experience from purchase through scheduling through installation. They got me scheduled quickly and the Tech showed up exactly when they said he would and the work was done professionally. I am so impressed with their work I will use them for ALL my electrical needs in the future.

Professionalism is not something that can be taught. You either have it or you don't, and any schmuck can show up to your door step and put on an act. But this was not the case with Eric. He showed up at the time mentioned, and without having to be asked, kindly took his shoes off before entering our house. Eric made it a point to walk me through the steps of what he was going to do, and what had happened to our dryer outlet. Before performing any work, he explained what the process was going to be and how he was going to perform surgery on our dry wall. I could not have been more impressed with his over all ability to keep a level head and remain calm when my lady was firing out questions at him while he was hard at work. He managed to answer them and keep rolling with the job. If there is any further work that needs to be done in our house, this company will now be the first call I make. Thanks for the help.

Eric was great. Arrived on time, friendly, knowledgeable, professional. He helped me figure out the best way to do what I wanted to do. I'm building a built in window seat, and the top of the seat would partially cover the current outlet. I had an idea of what I thought the solution could be, but it was not a great solution. Eric gave me all the options to fix the problem including one that I hadn't considered and that was a much better fix to ensure that everything worked right and looked right. I decided on one of the new options which involved moving the outlet, installing a new outlet box at a different place on the wall and getting rid of the old outlet box. I'll definitely call Eric again with any other electrical needs.

Eric arrived on time, went over the job and then worked hard for over 2 hours. It was more complicated to install the new coaxial cable box than anticipated, due to the construction of the house, but Eric found a solution that worked. He was great to work with and did a very professional job.

Their services were beautiful. Their service was good, I just couldn't afford anything else.

The technician, Mr. Reyes, was well prepared, having brought more than one new fan to make sure he had the right size. The work was done within 2 hr, all debris was removed, I was shown both the elements of the installation when finished, and how to adjust the thermostat if needed. The price was as promoted, no add-ons, representing a nice discount compared to other services I searched. Mr. Reyes was very professional and focused on completing the work.

The breaker to my HVAC unit kept shutting off on a Sunday night (during a heat wave, of course), and was warm to the touch. I called J&G at 8am on Monday morning, and they were in my house at 9:45am, and out by 11am. Eric diagnosed and fixed the problem, and stayed to ensure that the replaced breaker wasn't also overheating and staying on. He was on time, finished quickly, and allowed me to get back to work in a timely fashion. Friendly, high quality service!

Eric was fantastic! Very punctual and accommodating to my schedule when I a conflict arose. Great job and a nice guy! Would definitely hire again.

The wiring included pendants, two ceiling lights, an exhaust fan with heat and lights, electrical for the medicine cabinet, floor heating, and a new GFCI outlet. He installed a timer, three dimmers, and a thermostat as well as switches. He was adaptable and responsive. He changed the location of the floor's heating thermostat without a problem. He cleaned up after he was done each time. He arrived promptly and called first as requested. He is hard worker.

They did not do any work it was only for an advice. They could have provided a more in dept recommendations for problem solving and providing us with the service. They could have been a little more informative.

It turned out okay. It was a good experience.

The serviceman was very friendly and immediately diagnosed my problem over the phone. He said he didn't want me to spend the time and money for him to come out when he already knew the issue.

It went fine. Electrician was helpful in sorting out mislabeling of our circuit breaker box, but didn't do any other electrical work.
