 + -1 moreEric showed up a feew minutes early for our scheduled appointment. He got right to work and tackled the outlet installation quickly. When it came to installing the new cable outlet, Eric gave me three possible solutions for installation, clearly laying out the pros and cons for each solution. Eric did a great job, was extremely professional and personable and left the house as clean as he found it. I would not hesitate to recommend J&G Electric and Eric in particular.
Description of Work: Added new exterior electric outlet, added new electric outlet in the basement, and wired/installed a cable outlet in a bedroom.

There was not a long waiting time for an appointment - only a few days, and this was as much my schedule as it was his. On the day of the appointment, he was actually running ahead of schedule and called to ask if I would like him to come earlier than the agreed upon time; he gave me the choice! He was courteous and answered all my questions, and even talked to me about the new light bulbs vs the old ones and things to consider for each. He was friendly, reliable, and I would definitely call him again.
Description of Work: J&G installed 4 new ceiling lights for me, and did a superb job.

 + -1 moreArrived on time; toured the home and outdoor areas and showed/described the items that needed repair. Eric then went right to work and fixed all my listed problems. Very professional, friendly, and efficient.
Description of Work: Diagnosed and repaired 2 separate home location area 3-way switches which were no longer functioniong properly; installed new GFI receptical on outdoor pool control panel; inspected and tightened connections on pool motors switches; installed replacement of broken chain on pull light for outdoor area gazebo fan light. Contractor was extremely responsive to the initial call, made appointment, confirmed it, and called shortly before he arrived - and at the scheduled time. I would definately use this company again. *this service was an Angies list 'deal' price

 + -1 moreAt the time I received my call to set an appointment, I was given a 2 hour window and told that the electrician would call me when he was approximately 30 minutes away. It worked just this way and that allowed me to remain at work longer and not waste a personal leave day. Eric, the electrician, was punctual, professional (respectful of my home, removed his shoes, and removed trash), and very, very personable -- all traits that made the experience pleasant for me. He was responsive to my questions and evaluated a last minute problem I identified that resulted in a savings for me. I was so satisfied with this experience that I intend to call Eric for other small jobs - home theater set up and cable work - as well as a larger job of providing a dedicated line to power a new garage/security door at the back of my rowhouse.
Description of Work: Installed a new ceiling fan, replaced an existing ceiing fan, and reconnected telephone wires for a land line.

Description of Work: I called J&G Electric after I purchased an Angie's List coupon. The price was very reasonable. "Eric" responded to my call immediately. We set a date that week and he came to my home to do the work on time as scheduled. My experience was most positive. I had him take down an old ceiling fan and a ceiling fluorescent light panel and install a chandelier and a dome ceiling fixture. He also installed a recessed lighting can and light. In addition, he installed a dimmer switch in my media room --- all within the two hour time slot I had purchased with the coupon. I highly recommend J & G Electric. Eric did an outstanding job. He is an excellent electrician and was most pleasant and professional. Eric cleaned up any debris after the work and took out the old fixtures. I have scheduled to have Eric return next week to install more recessed lighting. His standard labor charge is also very reasonable. I was so pleased with J & G Electric and feel very lucky to have met not only a fine electrician but also a terrific person who seemed to really care about doing a good job. Call J & G Electric for your electrical needs. You won't be disappointed. I understand that Eric is also skilled in doing TV cable installation work and computer repair jobs.

 + -1 moreI bought a big deal for 2 hours of electrical work. I called to make an appointment. Big deals can take some time, but an electrician was able to come out within a week of the big deal purchase. The electrician called to confirm the work I needed done so he could bring the materials with him on the service call. He called the day of the appointment to tell me he was on his way. He did run into traffic with all the rain we've been having, so he arrived a little later than he had planned. That was totally understandable and not a problem. Eric, the electrician, was professional, courteous, and very neat. He put a new sensor in the light, replaced the light bulbs, and he was extremely friendly. I will absolutely use this company in the future.
Description of Work: Our front, outdoor light, had been working sporadically, then stopped working. The sensor was bad so the electrician replaced the sensor and put in new bulbs.

Description of Work: I purchased the $119.00 deal. I was very satisfied with the service. Eric, the electrician was punctual, professional and very friendly. He wanted to know if we had any specific problems. He did a total survey of the electrical system. He started with the electrical box in the basement and checked every room. He reassured us that there were no major problems, but he did find and correct a few problems- outlets that where sparking , a garbage disposal that had malfunctioned and he installed a sump pump which my husband had purchased. I was very pleased with the service and will definite use them in the future. I highly recommend without any reservation J & G Electrical Co.,

Description of Work: various electrical plugs scattered through the house were not working. Eric Sut had the problem pinpointed and diagnosed in less than 10 minutes. He pinpointed the source as a misinstalled (by my handyman) ground fault circuit interrupter. Corrected the problem AND put a GFCI in the lower level bathroom so there is now one for every floor.

 + -1 moreThank you, J&G, for restoring our faith in contractors! We have a 120-year old house with lots of quirky wiring, and have had hit-and-miss experiences with different electricians. We bought the Angie's List Big Deal for 4 hours of work to try these guys out, and called immediately to schedule them to come out for some projects we had been needing to do for a while. Their electrician Eric was extremely personable and very responsive, and scheduled our job for Saturday of Labor Day weekend since their schedule was already full for the week. From the minute he walked in he was completely professional and discussed our projects with us in detail before "starting the clock". Even though we had hired them with a coupon for a set amount of time, he worked quickly and was able to get everything we needed done and then some. He was thorough, asked questions when he wasn't sure exactly what we wanted, cleaned up after himself, and made good recommendations for other things we could do to make things work better (cable wiring, etc.). We will definitely be hiring him again for future projects.
