HYDRO POOL AND SPA

Sent me a pool pump that arrived heavily damaged in shipment. No responses to my email with pictures. No return. Phone calls. After 2 weeks the pump completely stopped working. They refuse to refund or exchange due to “using” the damaged pump- rather than providing customer service they will send you copies of a policy that essentially frees them of all liability or warranty. Find another provider that cares about their customers!

Had consistent Hydropool service on 50k gallon pool, two pumps, and waterfall for 17 years. Folks are always available for my concerns, decisively provide regular service, best priced in area, and are flexible with changes to schedule and services. Rick is the only guy I trust for good service.

Do not, I repeat, do NOT use this pool company. They came to my house on May 16th to open our pool for the summer. We had gone to the trouble of having our pool treated mid-season so that it would not be terribly dirty come summer opening. The technicians that came from Hydro Pool said it was one of the cleanest pools they had seen in a long time. They took off the cover, put in a few chemicals and skimmed the top. For this, they charged me $442.00. They spent less than 1 hour, and the pool still looked so bad that I went running after them and asked them to please skim it again. Seriously. After several days, the pool still looked horrible, and come to find out the skimmers were not working. We called and they returned to our house on the 20th. This was a new crew and we were told, “the lines are clogged and will need to be blown out or you will need to have them dug up and replaced. It could be a very big job and we do not have time to assess it now”. Luckily, they did have time to vacuum the still very dirty pool and charge me another $65. Not trusting this company, (who, btw was supposed to call me back and schedule someone to come look at the supposedly clogged lines but never did) I called Allegro Pool Service. They came first thing Monday morning and low and behold, he was able to fix the skimmer problem in all of about 15 minutes. Seems that the Hydro people had not set the toggle switch properly on the automatic valve. Skimmers working, pool finally cleared. Amazing what competency will accomplish. Poor customer service and clearly these people do not know what they are doing. They do, however, know how to charge a lot of money for nothing.

Hydro pool re-plastered our swimming pool while we were away on vacation. Having worked out a schedule for completing the work, we wanted to start the day we left and be complete for the July 4th holiday, Hydro pool had to work to the schedule for this to happen. Unfortunately after one step mother nature stepped in, it rained quite heavily one night which ruined some of the work that had been completed the previous day. This caused an adjustment in the normal installation process. Kameel was able to handheld this quite nicely keeping us informed at each step along the way. The job was completed on 7/3 and we swam in the pool on 7/4. I would highly recommend Hydro Pool for both major repair work and for weekly pool servicing.

Have used this company a few times for pool closings and other miscellaneous work. The time estimates given for when the workers will show up are often wrong by *days*. Work is inconsistent, sometimes certain connections are disconnected, sometimes not. Overall work is average to poor, with no price savings to justify poor work.

THE COMPANY KEPT US INFORMED OF WHEN THEY WERE GOING TO ARRIVE. THEY SENT TWO PEOPLE TO INSPECT, AND FOUND THEY HAD TO ORDER THE PROPER PARTS. IT TOOK LONGER THAN EXPECTED, BUT THEY DIDN'T CHARGE EXTRA. THE LIGHT WAS FIXED, AND CONTINUES TO WORK PROPERLY.
