OMG!!! Service was amazing! There were 3 major steps: 1) the initial call to set up an appointment for someone to come out and assess the need and give a quote; the lady, Laurie (not sure of spelling) was nice and did not waste my time on the call getting me scheduled; 2) the gentleman showed up to my home on time, was very considered on walking on my floors with shoes, and to my surprise --- called my attention to a safety issue (because I was home alone)!!!!!!!! I was moved by that!! He gave me a quote and scheduled my install time. 3) The young man, Johan, that came an completed the install was so nice and mannerable. I have to say, that surprised my because he is very young and I normally find "kids" today to be a little unprofessional and brusque. He came in a surprised me also with how fast he completed the job, with QUALITY!!" I have already given the contact information for Hot Tint Solar And Security Film to several of my neighbors!!! I will NEVER come here again. I have used them with 3 of my other vehicles and NEVER experienced what I have today. The customer service SUCKED. I bought a voucher off of Living Social and ended up paying an additional $90 06. The male at the front started in on getting an upgrade from the voucher I purchased due to what I explained The look that I wanted (front 2 windows tinted to uniformly match the back windows). He said that they could do that and I agreed to proceed.The male at the front desk was a little brash, but I took that as part of his personality, so I didn't trip off of his demeanor. He talked me into the upgrade. When I saw my vehicle, I was totally disappointed. The tint doesn't match the back widow, they used a lighter tint for the job. That is not the look I wanted!!! They left water and soap dripping down both sides of my car. I asked them if they would wipe that off and they said NO, We don't do that and for me to take it to the car wash and get it off that way. I just had my car detailed so that was not the answer to hear. I was mad. I didn't want to make a scene, but they acted so nonchalant, like they were doing me a hard favor instead of providing me a paid service I paid for. The Asian women acted so nasty about my complaint that she purposely took her time about giving my change. I just wiped my car down and left. I have given them references before to my friends and family and my clients, I will NEVER have a good thing to say about them again. I could have tinted the windows myself and did a better job than this.Im done with them. DON'T come here, YOU will be sorry!

I am not sure about the price and am away from home so I can't check it. I had a half price deal dorm Amazon Local or Groupon. I made the appointment easily, the work was done as requested, neatly, and on time. I upgraded to a better UV rating than my coupon covered and paid the difference. Maryland does not allow really dark tints, but I find that the tinting does help cut the heat and does not make it difficult to see at night.

I bought a Groupon coupon for a remote starter for my wife's car for $119. When she called to make an appointment for the install, she was told she had to buy a bypass for an additional $100. When I brought the car in for the appointment, I was told that I should buy a remote fob, or otherwise, I had to remove the key from the fob to start the engine. A couple of hours later, Hot Tint called to say I needed to bring a second fob to use in the bypass. This meant I would have only one key fob for the car. A replacement fob would be at least another $100. I told them to leave my car alone. While waiting in line, I heard at least three phone calls about the remote starter (Amazon and Living Social also run the "deal"). All callers were told about having to add the $100 bypass. This is a classic bait and switch. I have complained to Groupon.

Installation estimated at 1 hour took 6 and was left incomplete because a part was 'wrong' . Returned with the 'correct' part, work again should be 1-2 hrs, but after 3 hours once again system would function. They could provide missing adapter for a price but would have to return the next day to complete the job. I did not return. Took my problem to another shop and literally watched the workman pull my stereo to find cut wires spliced with electrical tape. It took him 10 minutes to disconnect the botched wiring with the connection part I had originally been told was the wrong part! Hot Tint serviceman had at one point even suggested that my new head unit from Crutchfields was defective. Would strongly discourage using this service! They were not truthful at any level in my dealings with them.

I was very pleased with them. I had a voucher and I had to pay them a few dollars extra because I had a connection missing. I liked their service. The people there were very friendly. They were not stressed out or hyper. They just seemed to be happy and friendly. That was very important. They did make a mistake, but they were happy to correct it.

All went well until...A few months go by (too much time to sue for damages b/c Rich has not responded to my request to make right the situation) and I notice something hanging down under the car. Turns out Rich had drilled a hole thru the floor board on the driver?s side to run the shifter wires & power wires through. See the pictures yourself. He didn't secure them to anything in the car. That group of wires was coiled up under the hood near the left side fuse box loosely about which is how they came to dangle down almost reaching the street. That made me mad. So I looked further into his work, and I found more. The rear shifter mounted to the rear license plate was mounted on the bottom, not on the top as I asked him to do (we talked about that at the shop, and it was a mute point between he & I, until I found other lousy work). The shifter connection wire was run under the weather stripping for the rear hatch door, & not threw the weather tube the manufacturer runs their wires thru to protect other electric internal wires. This is really bad b/c over time the opening & closing of the rear hatch door begins to cut into & wear away the wires protective cover exposing the wires. B/C Rich didn't call me back, I had to rewire that part, and run it thru the weather tube to prevent the wires from being cut. It goes on! He tapped into the fuse box at the front of the car with a stripped wire wedged between 1 of the cars fuses & its contact points. No connector was used for that power source. That was really unprofessional! The inline fuse I asked him to install was not a professional inline fuse part; it was 2 female connectors taped together with electrical tape so that a fuse could be wedged between when needed. No weather cover or protection from the elements was considered. See the picture yourself. Today, my car smells of mold b/c I get water leaking thru the holes Rich put thru the driver side floor board making my carpet wet & damp ever time it rains or I drive thru water in the street. In the winter there is an ice rink under the floor mat on my side. I would not use him again, and I would not send any1 to him.
