Goldsborough Design Build

I have been using them for about 7-8 years. I call them all the time. They do a great job! They last job I had them do was a remodel of the bathroom. I have had them build me 2 bedrooms, one as an addition to the house and one over the garage. I had a whole kitchen remodeled and a breakfast nook put in. They do more than just small remodeling like the bathroom but serious remodeling as well. I give them an A+++ that's why I keep using them. They are very careful, they are through, they are efficient. If anything doesn't work, they come right out and fix it. They are very helpful.

Goldsborough provided a competitive price that initially was lower than the other bidders. However, when we did an apples to apples comparison they were right in the middle. At the beginning they were professional to deal with. As the project went along, they repeatedly underestimated the amount of time it would take to complete the project. We had quality issues but these were addressed through much of the project. But the biggest issue was the heating and cooling system they installed in our house and a floor that they installed on the third floor. We specifically requested that they put in a high quality heating and cooling system. Not until we moved back in the house and started having major difficulties with heating and cooling the space did we find that they had installed an underpowered, lower quality unit. Much of the new space was cold in the winter. It is now warm in the summer. For six months we have tried to get Goldsborough to address this issue. We have even offered to pay the difference between the lower quality unit they installed and the higher powered, higher quality unit that would properly heat and cool the space. So far, to no avail. They installed a floor on the third floor of the addition that was lower than the adjoining floor in the old space. Rather than correct the problem properly, they installed a "sloping floor." We indicated this was not our first choice and Goldsborough has not corrected it. In 2011, while they were working on our project and still responsive, I referred them to my brother who also hired them for a major addition. Despite this, the company chose to ignore our requests to work with us in correcting the heating and cooling system and the floor. During the project, there some quality issues but they ultimately resolved them. The bottom line is that we could never recommend the company nor would we use them again based on their lack of resolve to fix the heating and cooling system and the sloping floor.
