Absolutely outstanding workmanship and punctuality. Three years ago we had DMV redo our kitchen and baths. However, we now wanted to upgrade the kitchen. They removed the old fixtures and installed 13 new recessed LED lights in the kitchen along with other smaller kitchen modifications that made the kitchen appearance go from great to outstanding. The LED lights alone will cut our electric bill substantially as most of the household activity centers around the kitchen. We are already itching to have DMV come back for several other projects we would like to have done.

I was extremely pleased with the work done by DMV Kitchen and Bath remodeling my bathroom. My project manager was Oscar and he was remarkably responsive. Every time I emailed or called him he responded immediately. I was also impressed that he offered to meet me at a stone counter top company to help me pick out the granite that I wanted to use. He was always able to offer advice when I was unsure which item would best suit my project. I found him to be very accommodating. The installation crew arrived on time and were very careful with my household items. They were pleasant, respectful, and did an excellent, professional job on the installation. I would strongly recommend DMV and would not hesitate to use them again for any future jobs I may have.

I was cordial and serious about the kitchen installation project with DMV. 3 people from DMV promised 3 dates to send me an estimate. After chasing them 4 times, i am realizing i lost precious time and need to go look for other companies.

The DMV team was great to work with. Javier Nogales was our primary point of contact. He was very patient with us throughout the design phase as we wanted to anticipate as many details as we could in this part of the process. Oscar and Javier offered many suggestions and ideas and the 3-D computer aided design package they used really helped us to visualize what the end product would look like. They were able to explain the secondary effects of a decision such as in cabinet placement so we didn't have any undesirable, unintended outcomes. They started the job on time and finished ahead of schedule. The on-site team of Alvaro and Omar did high quality work. They are true craftsmen. They always cleaned up as best they could at the end of each day. We were kept informed throughout the process of what to expect the next day. Javier was very responsive to all our inquiries -- you could always count on him to respond and not leave you hanging. They really care about meeting the customers needs. And, DMV was able to obtain the best pricing for us on all new kitchen appliances. Anybody considering a kitchen remodel should include DMV on their list of companies to interview.

On budget. On time. Consistently responsive to questions and concerns. Excellent workmanship. We were pleased beyond measure with DMV Kitchen and Bath, start to finish. I plan to spend as much time in my remodeled bathroom as I can. It’s beautiful and it works.

We couldn't have asked for a better contractor. We worked closely with Javier Nogales who was always professional and polite. His work crew, led by Jacinto and Maynor, were awesome. They put in long days and were always willing to go the extra mile without complaint. No contract job is ever perfect and there were issues and changes that came up but what set DMV apart from other contractors is that they wanted to make the customer happy even if it meant they had to work a bit longer and absorb extra costs. They never complained about anything! They even polished our tile floor to clean up minor scratches. We highly recommend them, in fact we are hiring them for other jobs.

Kitchen is better than we thought possible. Worked well with us from the minute we walked in the showroom. Extremely hard working professional crew. Completed before deadline and on budget. So happy we plan to use them for bathroom remodel next year.

Quality is #1 on homeowner's mind while doing a remodeling project. Before starting my project, I had seen and liked several other basements, however I can clearly see the detail and quality which sets my project apart from all other basements. The crew was very courteous and committed to the project. There didn't leave any room for any error. And this you wouldn't believe-even though price was negotiated upfront, towards the end I had to make last minute changes and the response from the owner was very positive and made sure that the final finish was based on what I had in my mind without affecting my budget.

DMV Kitchen and Bath did an incredible job with our bathroom!  Jose was our designer and he did an excellent job of taking us through the design process as this was our first renovation.   He went over all design options at his design center in Gaithersburg and showed up during the construction process to make sure everything was running smoothly.   Jacinto and his crew showed up on time every day throughout the project and were more than happy to answer questions.   They were extremely professional and their craftsmanship was impeccable.  Our bathroom turned out beautiful and I would highly recommend them!

We can't say enough about the professionalism and quality of work of DMV Kitchen and Bath. We originally went there to look at cabinets, and after our discussion with them on kitchen remodeling, decided to contract with them to do the whole thing. Our project manager was Oscar. He was always prompt, responsive, provided continual communication, respectful of our time and just a pleasure to work with. We asked for a line-by-line budget, they provided it and stuck to it. As well, they determined the project to take four weeks, and it indeed took four weeks! We relied on his opinion and expertise and were so glad we did. We would totally recommend them to anyone.

Oscar Perdomo provided professional guidance through the entire project including coming to our home to estimate work to be done and cost as well as to create a new layout. He met with us to choose our choices of options and provided his recommendations. During the entire project he checked in everyday to make certain there were not problems. The work crews were top notch craftsman. The provided protection so dirt and dust would not affect other living areas. Our kitchen has received tons of compliments and we could not be happier!

Always arrived when they said they would. Finished work on committed schedule. Great advice proactively given. Kept house and premises meticulously clean during renovation. Very responsive to questions and issues. Craftsmanship was excellent. Could not have asked for more. Went beyond what we could have hoped for. Highly recommended.

It went great! From start to finish. Rolando came to the house at an agreed upon time to get us started, doing a basic walk through and asking us if we were interested in moving forward to meet him at the showroom to pick out materials. We did - twice making changes to materials along the way. Once we picked materials, Rolando came back to the house to do official measurements and within a week he sent us a drawing and a price, which was inline with his estimate. To get on the schedule, we put down a deposit. At that time, he said were booking 3 weeks out and that the bathroom would basically take a week, depending on when the materials arrived. They stayed true to the time frame the best they could, as our medicine cabinet took longer to arrive then other materials; they left the old cabinet in place until the new one arrived as to minimize our inconvenience. His crew showed up every morning at a scheduled time and they even asked if they could come on a Saturday to finish up. They worked hard and were courteous. There were a few things we got wrong - I didn't like the paint color I chose and the hand sprayer for our shower was too big. No problem - his guys repainted and exchanged the hand sprayer. Before the final payment, Rolando came by to get a punch list of little items they needed to finish up and see how we liked everything. If I had to nit, I would say they could have vacuumed each night before they quit for the day. I am a neat freak and each night I did this and dusted in the bedroom so we could still sleep there until the bathroom was finished. I would highly recommend these guys and we would not hesitate to use them again.

Great. This is the first contractor that actually did what they signed a contract to do and get it done in the time frame. A few issues aside that were handled professionally, DMV will get my business again and I would highly recommend them. Rolando was our project manager and the crew and trades were very professional.

DMV did a great job remodeling our bathroom. Jose was the best contractor that I have ever worked with. He came to the house to see the space and provided me with an estimate. We talked about the pros and cons of different approaches to updating the bathroom. He suggested a website which carried most of the items we needed (e.g., overhead lights, medicine cabinet, plumbing fixtures), so that I could select the vendors and styles I wanted. In the shop, he helped me make decisions about tile and cabinet colors and patterns. He was readily available by email so my questions were answered usually the same day. He coordinated with the workers and the vendors to make sure everything went smoothly. When I had a major concern about the tile I had initially chosen, he encouraged me to select another tile. Minor and Alejandro carried out the remodeling and it looks very professionally done. They worked hard and accomplished a lot every day. Their work created a lot of dust but they were careful to cover up the furniture and floors and they cleaned up every evening. Minor was responsible for the on-site work and he maintained good communications with me to check on specific details and to update me on the progress. Overall we had a very positive experience working with DMV Kitchen and Bath. A few hints: Make sure you look at how the pattern of multiple tiles will look on the wall or floor. The first tile I selected was rectangular and had the grain of the pattern on each tile running in different directions. Not really the look I wanted but I didn't find that out until the tile had been purchased and was about to be installed. Secondly, if you are remodeling a very small bathroom, be sure to double check the sizes of the cabinet/countertop/toilet/shower to be sure that you understand whether the room will be more or less crowded than when you started. My new cabinet was the same width as the old but the countertop was an inch wider so things got a little more crowded.

They are highly rated on Angie's List, that's how I found them. They're excellent. They've done a lot for us. They have done some other handiwork too, but that was the main thing, was the bath remodel and the paint. It was $3000 for the paint job. It was $2500 for the paint, but then they also discovered a leak. So they painted the ceiling and then we noticed water stains after they painted. So we said, "What's going on there?" So they investigated. Now they didn't have to do this, this wasn't their fault, this leak. But they discovered a leak and they fixed the leak. So we were just really pleased with that. They went above and beyond to not only diagnose the problem, but to fix it. The $500 was for that. The bathroom was around $10,000, maybe a little more, but something like that. They're outstanding.

We hired DMV to completely remodel our basement bathroom and they did a super job! I couldn't be more pleased with it. Javier and his team were very nice to deal with and answered all of our questions and concerns. The tile work looks great and the workers were familiar with Duravit and Grohe, so there were no installation issues. I highly recommend DMV!

From start to finish, DMV provided fabulous service and value. Project Manager Javier Nogales was terrific in every way. He had great ideas for maximizing the space and helped guide us through the showroom process efficiently. The construction process was very well organized and finished in the estimated time. The crew on site was professional, accommodating and helpful. Javier was always responsive and quickly addressed any question or minor concern that we had. We are thrilled with our beautiful new bathroom and we highlyrecommend DMV for a hassle-free renovation experience!

Took longer than expected but I still give them an A

We used DMV Gaithersburg to remodel our master bathroom. Our main point of contact was Oscar, who was very easy to work with. He came out to do the estimate, which we received in a timely manner. Once we decided to go with DMV, we visited their showroom to pick out the tile, fixtures, etc. Although the showroom is small, it was nice to see the materials in person. Work on our bathroom began on our agreed start date and the workers were very professional. They took great care to keep the areas surrounding the bathroom clean throughout the process. Work lasted about a month, but that time also included hanging all new doors throughout our house and painting the master bedroom. We are very happy with how everything turned out. Throughout the process, DMV went above and beyond to meet our needs. During the time of the renovation, we had a non-related roof leak which affected part of the bathroom and, thankfully, DMV took care of patching the wall for us. They also patched two other drywall areas on our lower level at no extra charge. Oscar remained in contact with us throughout the process, regularly checking in on how the renovation was going. He promptly addressed any issues or changes we requested. After the work was finished, the crew took time to come back and do a variety of touch ups, including readjusting the shower door and adding shoe molding. While almost everything went smoothly, there were a couple of days where the workers did not show up when we thought they were coming. Although they did have a lock box with a key, it would have been nice if their schedule was communicated a little more clearly so we knew what to expect. Overall, we were very happy with the entire renovation process. This was out first experience hiring an outside contractor to complete work on our house and DMV made the process as painless as possible. We plan to contact DMV for any future renovations we may need and will gladly refer our friends.

 We were recommended to DMV by a neighbor.  The initial meeting with Oscar was great.  He was able to meet around our schedules which helped a lot.  We went to the local showroom and also to the granite showroom in Virginia. A different gentlemen came to the house to do all the measuring.  As it turned out, we had some unusual counter configurations that didn't get completely translated to the cutters and installers.  This turned out to be very frustrating for the installers.  As a result of the miscommunication, some additional cutting and re-installing had to be done.  There were some additional miscommunications and some millwork that should have been done didn't happen.  However, as soon as we pointed these out to Oscar he sent in some millwork pros who worked long and hard and did a beautiful job.  In the end, we were really happy with the counters and all of the trim work. 

We recently finished a major renovation of our master bath using the services of DMV Kitchen and Bath. We were very pleased with the level of professionalism, attention to detail, and customer focus of the company. Their overall quality of work was superb. Above all, we LOVE the results of their work! We chose to meet with DMV based upon other very positive comments on Angie’s List. We approached other companies for estimates based upon our past experiences and that of our friends and quickly realized that DMV was far superior – even though the estimates were comparable. They were easy to work with, experienced, and reliable. Plus, they gave us plenty of help and attention in the early design phase. We started by visiting the DMV showroom and working with several people there. They spent a lot of time with us understanding what we wanted and helped us to make decisions. Even though their showroom is pretty small (compared with other places in the area), it was well-stocked with lots of tile, countertops, samples, and cabinets to choose from. Javier Nogales, our primary contact, along with others came to our house several times before giving a final estimate. He gave us ballpark figures on various options, brought samples and had good suggestions for selecting reasonably priced, quality fixtures and materials. Their estimate had detailed pricing and included allowances for fixtures (tub, toilet, faucets, vanities, mirrors, lights, etc). The contract language was easy to read and very customer-oriented (a fair payment schedule, detailing our rights as customers, the warranty on labor, etc). A major do-over of your master bath pretty much requires sleeping somewhere besides your master bedroom and moving all clothes and accessories to another location (as our project included our walk-in closets). Also, there is no avoiding dust when you are ripping up floor and redoing drywall and the shower. This is an inconvenient and messy project! Our rugs, floors, and other rooms were well-protected with extensive use of drop clothes and plastic covering doorways to the master bedroom and the rest of the house. DMV gave us an estimated start date for the construction (which was while we were away), and we were pleased to learn when we arrived home that they actually started a week sooner and had all demolition work done when we got home. We did encounter a few problems, but DMV took action to try and resolve them without delays. Most notably, the countertop we originally selected was backordered, and the manufacturer could not provide a date for a new shipment. After an exhaustive search to find a piece in other shops, they supplied us with samples of more than a dozen “close matches” to what we had wanted. Once we made our selection, things moved ahead. Also, a small leak in a wastepipe over a number of years had weakened the drywall on the ceiling below. DMV repaired that problem along with a number of other flaws in the drywall and repainted the entire ceiling, all at no additional charge. There were other examples where they went more than an extra mile for us without any contract changes. In the end, there were many instances where DMV went well beyond what I expected to assure we had high-quality workmanship and that we were satisfied customers.
