We had a wonderful experience from start to finish with DMV Kitchen & Bath and are tremendously impressed with the results! Due to poor construction by the original builder (no liner installed in the shower), our master bathroom shower began leaking into the closet below. This caused significant damage to the bathroom and a mold problem. After talking with several different contractors, we chose DMV. We met with Rolando to discuss what we wanted - he was very helpful and patient as we selected the tile and countertops we wanted. Throughout the process, he was the most responsive contractor we've worked with *ever* - he always quickly responded to text, calls, or emails and provided a backup when he was out of town. The workers did an outstanding job - entire process was about 3 weeks - and took care with covering everything in plastic, making sure our cat didn't escape, etc. The new bathroom looks 100x better, and no more leaks! We're extremely satisfied with the result, and would recommend DMV to anyone!

One year ago, DMV remodeled our upstairs bath and did a great job. So we called on them again to help with our kitchen remodel. Our house is 39 years old, and although we had replaced appliances and refaced cabinets, it was time for an overhaul. For our last project, we worked with Javier as our point man. He was terrific. This time around Oscar was assigned to us. In addition to his design and construction knowledge, he had an unlimited amount of patience! It was slow going for us to make decisions, and Oscar was accommodating to the max. Even when we weren't expecting him, he seemed to suddenly appear in our house to check up on the day's progress. Three teams worked on the demolition, installation, electric, plumbing and painting work. All of the men were professional, courteous, hard working and excelled at their jobs. Everyone involved in our project always went the extra mile to insure that the work passed our stringent standards. This job involved installing new cabinets, countertops, sink, faucet, tile backsplash, under cabinet lighting, recessed lighting, running a gas line to the range, painting, and installing new appliances: range, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. The kitchen is not large, but with the new remodel we have more floor and cabinet space. Our kitchen remodel exceeded our expectations. We were very fortunate to have DMV on board. We rate them an A+!

We liked their proposal, but the price was about $5,000 higher than the company we chose to use.

Devastated. That is how we felt when we visited our farmhouse to discover a pipe had broken, causing devastating water and mold damage. Black mold seemed to be everywhere on the interior of the ground floor. What was worse, we discovered there was a $10,000.00 cap on mold-related damage on our policy. We were advised to level it and "write it off" by family and friends who saw it. Miracle Workers! Enter DMV Kitchens and Bath. We had used them in the past for bathroom remodeling and basement finishing. Javier took a look and said he would represent us in working with the insurance company, and he did. Much of what the insurance company said was mold damage, Javier was able to successfully show was actually water damage which was covered by our policy. In order to get the mold out, the house was taken down to a shell - not even the floors were left. I will let the pictures speak for the miracle work that DMV accomplished on time and within budget. No job is too big for this company. They are the best! It is so rare to find such a customer service-oriented company that is top quality without breaking the bank. On a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best DMV Kitchens and Baths is a TEN.

Prior to our appointment, we provided specific information about what we were interested in having done but when a person came out to our home, she told us that they only do remodels of the whole bathroom. We were very specific about what we wanted to have done but she didn't have any of that information and just said that they only do whole room remodels. Not very professional and a waste of time.

DMV replaced our kitchen ON TIME and ON BUDGET. In 2 weeks we had a completely redesigned kitchen with new EVERYTHING. DMV was friendly and easy to work with. We appreciated their willingness to work with us on the budget - we went through the estimate line-by-line and elected to perform some tasks ourselves (demolition, painting, and backsplash) which helped reduce our overall cost. During the design phase, we worked with a designer named Cemmy who was always very responsive to what we wanted to do. He came to our house to evaluate our initial plan and gave some great suggestions for improving it. We then had an appointment at their office in Gaithersburg to select materials and Cemmy was again very helpful - he knows the right balance between giving suggestions but also letting the client guide the look of the new kitchen. We also appreciated that he was not constantly trying to "up-sell" us with more expensive cabinets, counters, appliances, etc. Once the project started, Cemmy was still our contact person but we also were provided the personal phone number of the project manager Javier. Javier was great to work with - he fixed a few errors we made during the demolition phase at minimal cost and helped us address some emergent issues (mostly electrical) which were discovered once the old kitchen was removed. All of the workers that DMV sent to our house were courteous and helped to minimize the disruption to our family (e.g. they didn't treat the whole house like a construction zone). They also took the time to discuss each day's planned work with us and get any feedback or make changes to the design as necessary - particularly their electrician Tomas who was great to work with. As worked progressed Cemmy and Javier addressed any issues we raised quickly and professionally. A few of the cabinets arrived with minor damage or broken pieces - these we all corrected without our involvement. When we discovered a problem between the dishwasher and lower handle on the stove drawer, Cemmy worked with the manufacturer to get a new drawer. In the end, we liked working with DMV so much that we also hired them to do some work on our master bathroom. Highly recommended.

I wanted to replace ~ 48 sq feet of counter tops and the sink in my kitchen. Got measurements from Evan who arrived at our house on time and was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I went to the showroom to look at the sink and granite options. Evan was out, so another guy helped me who seemed new. He was very nice and tried to be helpful but was unable to answer the majority of questions like the grades and prices of the granite I liked. Evan later told me he was a manager... odd. I'm not sure why didn't he know the grades and prices? When I got the estimate of $5800 for the lowest grade granite (this was higher than other estimates), I emailed him back and asked if there was any way to cut down the price. Initially I thought there was no answer but apparently there was an email in my spam box. They were able to reduce the price $450 but it was still more than I expected. I went with Artistic Granite.

A FANTASTIC experience from beginning to end. First, their estimate was by far the most affordable for what I had planned for my kitchen...a very straightforward remodel. Second, I worked with Evan as the main contact for my project and he checked in often to ensure I was happy with the progress, kept me informed on the daily schedule of his team of great craftsmen and with any updates on materials I had wanted changed. Thirdly, they completed the project BEFORE the promise date! Here are a few reasons why I highly recommend DMV Kitchen and Bath and why I will use them again: 1. The team arrived at my home on time, and were very respectful of the property. They worked 10-12 hours a day to stay within their timeline. 2. They were very conscientious: they carefully taped off the floor and placed plastic in the entryways to help prevent dust. They cleaned up/swept at the end of each day and placed their supplies neatly away in the garage. That says a lot about a company. 3. They asked questions if they weren't sure...they wanted to do it right! 4. They do GREAT WORK! I was truly surprised at the end of each day, at what they accomplished. My kitchen was transformed in 8 days! It's clear that Evan, Javier and the entire DMV K&B team are committed to providing a great experience for their customers, doing whatever it takes to create the desired outcome. They are truly a delight to work with. I am more than pleased with my new kitchen...it's exactly as I had envisioned it, and then some. Overall, we are extremely pleased with our new kitchen, and the work done by DMV. We picked them primarily based on their stellar Angie's list reviews, and we experienced the same strong customer service ethic that we read about here. Our first contact was with their design team, Cemmy and Akgun, who provided us with a strong initial design plan that formed the basis of our future work. I will be the first to admit that I am picky and indecisive and don't react all that well to stressful situations - and a major kitchen reno was definitely stressful for me. They were very patient with us during the design process, and went back and forth with us for several months before we even signed a contract. We made most of the material choices ourselves, but they were exceptionally helpful in figuring out the details we were less experienced in, like cabinet layout. Javier was our overall project manager and I can't speak highly enough about his commitment to customer satisfaction. There were the expected 'surprises' and communication challenges along the way, but it was always clear that Javier was 100% committed to our satisfaction. (As we have learned in taking on a project like this, the more specific you can be about your plans and expectations, the better off both the client and the contractor will be.) They stayed true to our contracted price and didn't nickel and dime us on minor (and some not so minor) changes along the way. There was one or two items that came up that did impact our overall cost, but they were very careful to lay out our options and make sure we understood the various tradeoffs before they did any actual work. A few parts of our project were initially executed in a way that wasn't what we were expecting or that we weren't happy with, but in every instance they worked with us to make sure we were satisfied. Our biggest challenge came in the final stretch when there was an issue around replacement of a damaged appliance, however as with everything else, in the end they made sure that we ended up satisfied. The work crews were great. We asked that they not arrive before 8 am each day when our son goes to school, and they arrived pretty much as 8 am on the dot each day and made sure we were ready for them before entering the house. They took care to manage the mess, covering the floors, taping off other parts of the house to minimize the dust, and cleaned up at the end of the day. And the quality of their work was exceptional. Overall, our project was pretty complex - we removed a wall and a coat closet that also impacted our living room, found 'unexpected' pipes in the walls that needed to be moved, and broke through an external brick wall to enlarge a window - in addition to the usual tiling, cabinet and appliance installation that is part of many kitchen remodels. We also chose relatively high-end materials, which is reflected in our overall costs, and also meant that we were very demanding about the final result. I would definitely hire them again, and would highly recommend them to others.

The work went extremely well. The staff at DMV was very professional and responsive. They started and finished on time. I had only a couple of minor issues which they resolved promptly and without question or argument. They responded to emails and phone calls quickly and, again. professionally. The bathroom and kitchen look very good. Even though it was a relatively small job, they did not act as though it was not worth their time (as some other bigger companies did when I visited their shops). I would definitely use them again and recommend them.

We contracted DMV to do our two bathrooms and I can't say enough positive about it. Javier was always available, very responsive and answering our questions with detail explanation. His workers were unbelievable. They let themselves in each day and I was able to continue working without concern. The team was prompt and professional - cleaning up after each day. The attention to detail was incredible and finish product was A-making. I highly recommend them to everyone.

Amazing, amazing experience! Did I mention it was amazing? No, really I can not say enough great things about Evan and the entire DMV team. From the initial meeting with Evan through the completion of my beautiful kitchen they went over and above to make sure I was happy with the final results. There were some challenges based on living in an older condo. It's apparent they believe in doing things the right way even though it might mean more time/labor costs for them. NO short cuts were taken. The workmanship, customer care and attention to details are exceptional. Thank you Evan for making this process easy, enjoyable and finding me the "sample". And thank you to the DMV team for my beautiful kitchen, it's a peaceful place. I can't wait to do my bathrooms!!!! I would highly recommend DMV Kitchens and Baths. I had them renovate my home?s kitchen and three bathrooms. DMV did a wonderful job. I worked solely with one employee, Evan Guerrero, who provided an estimate that was within my stated budget, and the company?s team of workers stayed with my home renovation from start to finish?no week gaps here and there as is common with a lot of renovators who subcontract out their work. All of their employees work for DMV Kitchens and Baths. Evan was very responsive to my questions or any changes I requested. He made suggestions when I was stumped with the various decisions I needed to make. DMV Kitchens and Baths? work and service are top notch. They probably have some of the best tile workers in the business. The finished rooms are beautiful!

I bought a fixer upper house in Cleveland Park, DC that needed work throughout. I was anxious to start the work in March given my own time availability (a leave of absence from my job) and in order to move into the house. I selected DMV mainly because I was impressed with Javier's attitude and responsiveness, and the price was fair (I did not feel they would nickel and dime me for everything and they didn't). DMV's price was 10% less than one other bidder and about the same price as another bidder (both top rated firms on Angie's List.) DMV's price was all-inclusive and I obtained discounts by ordering cabinets, granite countertops, tile, and appliances through them. DMV responded quickly with an estimate and work was started within 2-3 weeks after contract signing. A couple of mistakes (e.g. cabinet measurements) were discovered as the work progressed, however, I found Javier reasonable to work with and to find solutions. I also attribute my own need to move fast to the couple of issues that arose. The majority of the work did take about twice as long tas the orginal estimate of 6-8 weeks, however, I expected that - and my own decision to expand the scope of work contributed to delays as well. As the job progressed, there were a few add-ons (ductwork for the tankless hot water heater, rerouting a gas line in the kitchen) but all were reasonable. Javier responded very quickly whenever I had an issue or question. I also appreciated that Javier had the crews re-do several aspects to ensure top quality. Things such as smoothing out the uneven surfaces in plaster walls, several times in order to get it right. I also greatly appreciated that DMV/Javier approved the crew doing some furniture installation/hanging of wall art, etc. with no extra charge while they were at my home awaiting deliveries, etc. I had a roofing and siding company also do work at the same time that DMV was working on the inside of my home. I appreciated that Javier on two occasions let me know when there appeared to be an electrical cut, and insufficient quality to the exterior siding work. Many contractors might not say anything however I felt that Javier/DMV was looking out for my best interests. I found Orlando, Robert, and all of the crew members were extremely punctual, reliable, trustworthy and hard-working. In summary, I highly recommend DMV for your home improvement project.

DMV Kitchen & Bath is the best contractor we've ever worked with. The project had a tight deadline and was extensive in its scope. DMV worked hard and did an amazing job meeting the tight deadline, providing quality work & materials within our budget. The staff were always courteous and helpful. Workers were on time and reliable. They were able to competently handle all aspects of the renovation which included kitchen design, cabinetry, lighting, hard wood and tile flooring, electrical panel replacement and wiring, HVAC, plumbing and carpentry, appliance installation and painting. The renovation was further complicated by the fact that it was done long distance. We are in Connecticut and for part of the renovation we were out of the country. Whenever there were any questions about issues or choices to be made, Evan, the project manager, contacted us on a very timely basis to present the issues - including sending photos and helping us with the decision making process. They held our hand every step of the way and were very detail conscious, making sure we were on top of the details and had input into the decision making process when needed. DMV provided quality materials at reasonable prices and was even able to get us a discount on appliances. During the early stage of the project, we suggested using cabinets from Home Depot or Lowes. They advised us to go with better constructed hard wood cabinets and were able to provide them at the same price or lower than the big box stores. We can't say enough good things about DMV. Choose them for your remodel project. You'll be glad you did!

I have never had a home-remodeling job go as well as this one did! I'm still amazed at how fast and carefully the work was done. Only eight days of work from start to finish, and my kitchen and bathroom now look like showplaces! The transformation is stunning. I really didn't expect it could go that fast--in fact, we had allowed three weeks--but I am so thankful that it was all done a lot sooner because I really needed to get back to the office, and I also appreciated being able to put the house back together sooner. To my great delight, DMV made it a very positive and smooth experience, and my house looks just beautiful! I truly could not have asked for better. My deepest thanks go especially to Cemmy, the salesman who guided me expertly throughout the process. He didn't just write the contract; he also followed the project from start to finish, checking in with me every day. He is very patient, accommodating, and friendly, and he listened to all of my concerns and never made me wait for answers. He always answered my phone calls, and when he said he would do or check into something, he did. He offered several great suggestions in terms of design, and he gave sound advice as I chose cabinet finishes, countertops, lighting, drawer handles and pulls, backsplash, and floor tile. I didn't feel rushed, and I did feel that he was looking out for what I wanted and needed. Thank you, Cemmy! Everyone who worked on my house showed a very strong work ethic, which rates extremely high to me. Johnny and Felix worked steadily and very h****** both demolition and installation. Having had other contractors working in my home who would work for a few hours, then disappear for hours or even a day, I was particularly impressed with how Johnny and Felix stuck to the job. They also cleaned up after themselves each day. That helped make an inevitably disruptive process easier to take. Thank you, Johnny and Felix! The "granite guy" did an incredible job installing the granite countertops. I am sorry that I didn't catch his name. He and his partner arrived early in the day (PERFECT in my book!) and installed breathtaking countertops that gleam and shine with natural beauty. (I am now wondering how on Earth I will ever be able to move out of my house, now that it looks so fantastic!) He also allayed my concerns that the bathroom sink might be too close to the medicine cabinet...but it turned out that, of course, he was right--the medicine cabinet really doesn't get in the way of someone standing at the sink. Thank you, granite guy! Grover did a superb job installing the backsplash, hooking up the new microwave line to the electrical box, making sure the reinstalled appliances were working correctly, and doing some other final cleanup tasks. The gorgeous kitchen backsplash he put in makes me stop and stare. The light catches the little colored glass squares, and the whole kitchen sparkles. Thank you, Grover! I highly recommend DMV Kitchen and Bath. The value that their work will add to your home will be far higher than the money you pay them. You'll walk into your house and feel so rich when you see your new kitchen and bath.

The DMV team came through again. We've used the consistently since we've owned our home (2006). They refinished our basement that was down to exposed ceiling rafters/main sub-floor, all electrical, and internal door installation. The works were done in a timely manner and to our expectations. There were a couple of spots on the ceiling that required additional work once they were exposed during painting but corrective action was taken immediately. Not to be overlooked, DMV does an outstanding job of site preparation and clean-up. During this remodel, a portion of our basement was being used for living and DMV did an outstanding job of going the extra length to keep the work site out of the living space.

This guy took no more than 10 minutes to measure everything and ignored what I said and proposed a high end bathroom. He didn't even send an estimate until I contacted them several weeks later saying I never received it. I'm not saying it was a rip off, I'm just saying he didn't listen to me when I said we did not want high end. It's possible these guys do fine work, but I won't have them working on this bathroom. What is funny is they have ads advertising a $8000 bathroom package. You would think if I tell the guy in my house while he's measuring that I had around that amount in mind to spend, he would have said here's what you get for that amount, something like that. Nope, he ignored me and tried to go for the high dollars just because of our zipcode.

We are very happy with our kitchen remodeling. After getting quotes from a few contractors we decided to go with DMV Kitchen and Bath because of their competitive pricing, positive reviews and after discussing the project with Javier. When you embark on a big project like this you are always anxious about the quality of the work, timing, flexibility of the contractor and what the end result will be. We were pleasantly surprised by the way the project was handled from start to finish. Javier who was our project manager was extremely professional and we had a great experience working with him. When we ran into some minor issues which is very common in these type of projects, Javier was very accommodating and very responsive always. From plumbing to electrical, flooring, granite install, drywall repairs, appliances and cabinetry, all his crew members were very skillful, professional and easy to work with. The crew members were very punctual and left the place very clean every day. Javier was always available to answer any questions and went above and beyond our expectations to keep us happy. Remodeling project like this can be very stressful for homeowners. However, DMV's customer focus, attention to details, quality of work and their customer friendly attitude made this a very enjoyable and satisfying experience for us. The project was completed on time as promised and the end result is a beautiful kitchen we are enjoying every day. DMV is all about customer service and they clearly know what it takes to earn customers respect. We highly recommend DMV for home projects and we have already referred them to many of our friends. It took me at least 3 months to find the right contractor. And i am extremely glad we found the right one, it was worth the time spent searching! I used Angies List for my search mostly. DMV had excellent reviews here, so I invited them for a quote. They were always on time and polite. After some discussions on the scope of work and checking that the company had valid licenses and insurances we signed the contract. Javier was my main point of contact and project manager. It was easy to work with him - he is standing for your comfort and interests and he is flexible to your needs. What i really liked is that he would listen to your wishes and give his professional advice and lets you choose whats best for you. In construction work things may change in the course of work performance, so i appreciated that it was easy to change things on the spot without headache. Javier knows the value of your time and knows how to serve his customers, he is intelligent and knows and loves his job. The workers were always extremely polite and helpful, they never bothered if i asked to do things my way in some cases and gladly did. They totally removed the old kitchen and installed the new one, including the fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave and new cabinets. My husband made a design himself and originally we did not add cabinets over the fridge, Javier suggested that the kitchen ll have a more finished look if we add them and his workers installed the cabinets nicely, they did not charge any extra for that work and it indeed looks much better now. Javier also always advised me on what materials to buy and where best to get them, sometimes he even placed order on my behalf and sometimes it was cheaper to buy them through their company. After being happy with their job in the kitchen, the deck and the floors i decided to ask them to help with some outstanding work on replacing the switches, correcting some painting issues, installing TV etc and we werent disappointed. I would be happy to hire DMV again if i get a good quote and we already discussed some things with them that we might do in the basement. I would highly recommend DMV, Javier and his team to work on your repair needs! Great job, big thanks to all their team.

I am going to love fixing quick snacks and fancy holiday meals, and gathering with family and friends in my wonderful new kitchen. The design was complex--a radical change from the prior design and in a difficult space--but the design they developed is exactly what I wanted. It is efficient with lots of storage and work space. The workmanship and materials are excellent quality and look great. Importantly, job was finished ahead of time and on budget. In addition, everyone at DMV Kitchen and Bath was courteous, professional, tidy and always on time.

I chose DMV over several highly recommended neighborhood contractors because of their rating on angieslist, because they were the fastest with giving me an estimate and design, because of their experience, and because they were well within my budget (price includes everything--including various upgrades--except for the appliances which DMV was able to get me a good deal on). The project went longer than anticipated (we started with a hilarious estimate of 4-5 weeks, turned into 4 months) because of snafus with architectural designs and long waiting periods for inspections, but I appreciated that they were going by the book. The project was huge, with the removal of a previous exterior wall and the addition of a steel beam, a partial wall removed, and wall moved. Plumbing needed to be moved, and everything had to be replaced (cabinetry, flooring, lighting, etc.). Javier was extremely responsive to any hiccups along the way. A true testament to their integrity was when I noticed a problem well after work was complete and paid for. Javier sent a group out within a couple of days, when it was convenient for me, and completely fixed the problem. I have been cooking in the kitchen for the past three months and loving every minute of it-- neighbors commented on how awesome it looks while still blending with the house, and we now love having people over to hang in the new kitchen/living room combo (previously just a galley kitchen). Thanks, DMV for giving me my dream kitchen!

Rolando came to measure and review job and I went to showroom to select tiles and went over details of job and contract. They were very professional from start to finish and willing to listen and work with timeline and budget. The crew was GREAT! They paid attention to details and were very helpful and willing to explain details of job before, .during and after. There was no major problems, just a few little errands to replace wrong type toilet and vanity light, The crew always used floor/wall dust covering each day. The were helpful with hanging mirrors and worked with a few last minute changes on vanity selections and very helpful in going the extra mile, more than once. We had to wait on glass doors to be made due to a production at the glass manufacturer. We understood that it was out of DMV Kitchen&Bath control . Rolando stayed on top of giving us updates on the timeline for the shower doors installation. It was 1 wk delay. Overall, ALL went smooth and both bathrooms look great and we are enjoying our new spa like upgrades.
