Jim, the owner, came out and did an estimate and talked through all of the options. He was very thorough in going over each of them which I appreciated. Once I agreed to have them do the work, Jim let me know when they would be out to do the job. He let me know that I did not have to be home, but that they would need access to water and power. The job entailed power washing the deck, replacing the the surface and the horizontal boards on the railing, and staining the entire deck. The workers were very nice and I appreciated their hard work and professionalism. I was home while they were working and they put in long days to get the job the done. It took 4 days to complete the job. The deck was in very bad shape and looks great now. They did a great job. I'm very happy with the work and would recommend them.

Jim did an excellent job. He was very responsive to our emails. He even came back a year later to do a small repair. We would highly recommend Deck Armor.

Oue experience with Deck Armor was excellent. Jim arrived when he said he would, explained what he would do, and gave us an estimate. He power washed our deck, banged down several nails, replaced 4 steps, put down a primer and restained our deck with a solid color stain. A few areas needed touchup and he was very prompt in seeing to that. The contract we signed was very specific; everything was spelled out. Jim is extremely responsive. He answered our emails within minutes of our sending of them. He and his workers were very polite and neat. Our deck looks just about perfect right now.

Manager arrived and provided different options as well as recommendations. It was busy season so it took about a month before they could actually start the work but that was fine since we hadn't decided the exact color we wanted until a week before anyway. The workers were friendly and did the job and when the project was complete they asked us to double-check. We found a few areas that needed attention and they came back and corrected the issue that same week, no hassle. I will try to add photos later since they are still on my phone, but it looks great.

Their work and attitude were outstanding. Everyone who has seen it comments on how great it looks. I recommend them without hesitation.

The deck was over 20 years old, deteriorating, and needed some help. They replaced several damaged boards, cleaned/prepped the deck, applied several coats of primer and paint. After they finished, the deck looked fantastic.

Excellent service! I contacted Deck Armor in May, and Jim was very open about his scheduling limitations due to seasonal demands and rain. He then managed to get my initial cleaning done on time, and even brought in a crew on short notice to finish the project on a holiday weekend. Everything was done very well, and I have already had compliments about how nice the refinished deck looks. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Deck Armor gave a fair quote and after all the rain that fell in our area knocked out both both the repair and painting in 2 days. Very Professional staff that protected my AC units and my Patio while the painting was going on. Will hire again for any Deck maintenance.

They would not take the job unless they could use their own stain product. I wish to use Benjamin Moore stain since it would match what I currently have on the deck, and it is highly rated on ConsumerReports.org.

I am very happy with the result of my deck. From the date of the estimate to the completion date of my deck, I was very well informed of the cost and time to my investment. The quality of my deck was completed as how I had requested and beyond. This is a company where you can count and trust on their services for their expertise and reliability.

Deck Armor put down primer, sanded, and painted the deck, the railing, and the lattices under the deck and under the roofed area. They replaced the rotten boards. They worked very neatly, and were prompt about coming when they said they would. They were good about telling me when they would be available. The deck looks really good and I was very pleased with their work. I was especially happy that they were able to move my deck furniture and then replace it without an additional charge. Best of all, they did the work for $1500 less than another estimate that I got from a competitor.

The two men who did all the work were outstanding. They worked so hard and were so professional that I couldn't have asked for a better team. The deck looks beautiful!

Great work by the Deck Armor team. They're estimate was the most competitive and they delivered great quality and value. They are pretty booked up, so expect to wait a few weeks. They did a great job on the main task (refinish and stain) along with going above and beyond on some other aspects (replacing boards, adding a railing, etc.).

Fantastic. They were prompt to se up the onsite appointment for an accurate proposal. We asked if we could get it done within 3 weeks. They did everything they could to oblige and it happen to work out due to their efforts. We couldn't have had better service.

I am a very picky customer, so I needed a lot of reassurance and very precise descriptions of how the work would be performed. All of this was given and there were no surprises. The hardest part of the project was picking the paint color. Our deck had been stained, and the option we had picked was to have it a solid color. It was helpful to purchase small sample cans at Home Depot. We got a defective decking board at HD for next to nothing and had this cut into pieces. We painted the board pieces with several possibilities, and then after narrowing down to two, painted on the actual deck to make the final cut. The biggest holdup on getting the project underway was the number of folks ahead of us and Mother Nature. Jim was upfront that we’d have a wait and this wait was extended due to rainy day after rainy day. The project is a multi step one and first the deck is cleaned. I must say, after the cleaning, it looked so nice, we were almost tempted to say just stain again … but knew better. It was not safe to walk barefooted on the deck. After the cleaning, the crew needed a certain number of dry days. We had lots of rainy days, so this took awhile. When it was our turn, the crew then spent about three days sanding, replacing boards, covering the shrubs, the black deck spindles, prepping the surface, painting, sanding some more, more painting, and then touch up. The payments were broken down into increments based on the work. The deck work is guaranteed for ten years. We are looking forward to enjoying our deck for those many years to come thanks to the Deck Armor crew!

Deck Armor was asked to power clean and paint my deck. The deck was built in 2013 not stained at the time. I spoke with several companies and could tell instantly when I spoke with them on the phone that they were quite professional. They provided an estimate, $2200 for the services. They came first to do the power washing, and then a bit later in the summer completed the painting. The deck looks superb. The painting was meticulous and thorough, and as requested they took care not to allow dripping on the heat pump (I have a two story deck). I highly recommend this company.

Jim, the CEO of the company, was extraordinarily responsive to our emails and questions. He explained the process and his prices very well and with patience for our many questions. He was very fair in negotiating the price. Ultimately we decided to not get the work done for our own personal reasons, with no reflection on Jim or his company. When we decide to the deck done, we will definitely go with Jim. I am very confident he would do a great job.

He called me back and said he didn’t want to do stripping. It’s not worth it because it damages the deck. He ACTUALLY said: It’s better to build a new deck.
