Description of Work: They performed a diagnostic test for my AC unit and told me it needed to be replaced and was of no use. I had a family friend come fix it, no replacement necessary and it works fine. They were also about 6 hours late to the appointment.

Cost to repair was 25% higher than Sierra, who was able to do the repairs, including a new blower fan motor at the time of the FREE estimate. Sierra also pulled & cleaned the gas burners, cleaned the burner box and burners for no extra charge.

Description of Work: My window air conditioner started squeaking then died on a Sunday, the first day of a projected three day heat wave. I called Cool Breeze Monday morning, explained the problem and asked if they fixed window air conditioners. They said they couldn't come until Tuesday afternoon and would call then with a time window. I called after 2 since I hadn't heard anything. The receptionist checked with the technician and reported he had had several emergency calls, was running late and was unsure what time he would be here. They called at 6 to say he couldn't make it that evening because of flooded roads and I should call back early Wednesday morning. I did and was told, possibly by the owner, "Oh, we don't fix window units; they must not have known it was a window unit." In two of my three previous phone conversations with Cool Breeze the window unit was explicitly discussed. |It may well be that it is cheaper to buy a new unit at Home Depot and that it is impossible to get replacement parts (probably a fan belt) but because of the hard framed tight space the unit inhabited and because I grew up with the apparently bizarre concept that things should be fixed rather than simply discarded, I called Cool Breeze.

Description of Work: My heat pump system was providing inadequate cooling. I requested a "Big Deal" system check by Cool Breeze through Angie's. Cool Breeze scheduled an appointment approximately one week out from the date of my request. The technician showed as scheduled, measured the level of coolant in the compressor portion of the system and replenished it to the necessary levels. He made no attempt to check the condition of the system (which includes two distinct sub-systems) otherwise, which is what the "Big Deal" provided for. He was non-communicative and moody and clearly more intent on moving to his next scheduled job than on attending to the details of the job before him. He gave no general assessment; his few explanations and recommendations were given grudgingly. I would characterize the Cool Breeze service as perfunctory and incomplete.

Description of Work: The first time I scheduled them they went to the wrong address. While they apologized profusely they did tell me that I had to make another appointment for the following week instead of being able to go to the correct address. This cost my husband half a day of work waiting for them to never show up. They wouldn't even give me a Saturday appointment because that was for 'emergencies only' - our AC wasn't working what other kind of emergencies do they handle? I did make an appointment for the following week and was told we'd be first stop which would be between 8:00-8:30am; they didn't show up until 9:30. I probably won't have minded too much if I wasn't terrified that they were going to the wrong address again. So that ended up costing me half a day of work. Once the tech did show up he was great, very nice, very professional, and did a great job. If I was rating just based on my encounter with the tech then I would have given them an A, but as everything else was an F, I'm averaging to a C.

Description of Work: I purchased the coupon for an A/C check up. The person arrived on time. He was very professional. The only reason I did B overall is he mentioned that next year I should replace a part. I asked him to please put the information on the invoice so I would remember for next year and he forgot to do so. | |I would use this provider again.

Description of Work: A-, Did not want to give a B as service otherwise was good. They saw a leak of refrigerant - filled it but not repair it - I had hoped for that as it will cost me more money to call them again! |So now I have to call them again when the AC stops cooling again
